All ideas and proposals listed below are my attempt to show the awesome diversity of ancient India and to connect the civilizations of East and Central Asia with those of South/West Asia.

1. An epic vivid artistic colorful and brutal movie about the romance(that never happened because of jauhar, also known as ritual suicide) between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji. We'll have them connected by the red thread of fate(part of east asian/central asian culture) through which they can communicate and do romancy cuddly stuff with each other.

Asin Thottumkal would play the role of Rani Padmini, while Gao Yixiang would play the role Alauddin Khilji.

2. A 50 episode historical TV Series about Siddharta Gautama and his descendants Chandragupta and his teacher and advisor Chanakya and his grandson Ashoka of the Mauryan Empire, embodied by Minority ethnic actors from Nepal and North East India. Also, as part of the same larger production: a historical TV series about the Gupta Empire with minority ethnic actors from the Seven Sister States.

3. Movie about Mahmud of Ghazni's cruel and ruthless invasions of the Indian subcontinent.

Vietnamese model Pham Anh Tuan could play Mahmud Ghaznavi with Takashi Ukaji as Sabuktigin, Mahmud's father. Old Alptigin could be played by Tatsuya Nakadai, while Hiroshi Abe could play young Alptigin.

4. A high budget production about the Mughal(Mongol) Gurkani(In laws of the Borjigin Mongols of Genghis Khan's line)dynasty of India, focusing mainly Tamerlane the forefather and second Genghis Khan(both descendants of Bodonchar Mughak), Babur the founder of the dynasty, Humayun the next successor and initiator of Persianate Mughal culture, Akbar who is generally considered to be one of the greatest Emperors of India and his son Jahangir who was born to a Hindu Rajput Princess.

Dynastic portrait commissioned by Jahangir in 1620(Tamerlane on the throne had obviously been dead for the last few centuries so his portrayal isn't accurate, he is shown a s a typical broadshouldered Mongol male)

Tell me what you think and whether or not it would be accepted by the general populace of India(I know Priyanka Chopra received massive hate for starring in Quantico and is now labeled as a slut by many ) :) Just to let you know, I'm half Indian half White and interested in most Eurasian cultures

I forgot movie idea Nr.5 which would be about the Bahmani Sultanate and the Deccan Sultanates' victory against the South Indian Empire of Vijayanagara
Sorry, I'm not an Indian girl, but I'm also interested in content from India!
I'm so sorry about what you mentioned about Priyanka Chopra! I had no idea. Without her Quantico would have been nothing! Stupid, unfair and ridiculous double standard!
Thanks for responding, Granuli, I thought nobody would be interested in this topic :D

Are you interested in Bollywood movies? I'm more familiar with Tamil and Telugu entertainment because that's my mother's ethnic background :)(she's from Fiji)

Yes,(male) public opinion on Priyanka Chopra in India has really changed with her starring in Quantico(though there are still many who do support her and wish for her to continue to make forays into hollywood and to represent the beauty of Indian women), just scroll down any youtube comment section on "quantico sex scenes priyanka chopra". For some reason many Indians from India focus on her sex scene with the black man rather than on others with white males(another facette of nonsensical Indian racism).
But they were also totally fine with Priyanka Chopra portraying Mary Kom who is a North East Indian woman(meaning chinese or south east asian looking, derogatorily called "chinki" by mainstream Hindu Indians). It's ridiculous what can pass and what can not. Hypocritical.

I checked out your profile and I think you'd like a series about the first Empress of India, Razia Sultan of the Mamluk Dynasty(Turkic from Central Asia, meaning Kyrgyz, Kazakh etc.) and her lover Malik Altunia, also a Turkic noble
Thank you bokhbokh!

No, I'm not especially interested in Bollywood although I would never exclude anything if someone recommended something (s)he thinks I'd like.
I see :) Fiji sounds so nice!

Shows from South Korea are dominating way too much everywhere, I've never seen anything from Tamil or Teluga entertainment listed nor anything from India generally.
I'm totally ignorant as of yet!

I'm already lucky to be able to stream some Japanese and Chinese shows (which are currently my favorites).
Thanks for the recommendation! Do you have a link? Unfortunately I wasn't able to find it :/

Regarding Priyanka Chopra and sex in Quantico, I don't even remember any sex scenes at all except for the very first one in the first episode, because it was quite powerful (she took what SHE wanted from a guy and it wasn't made into a problem in her immediate social environment (seems this didn't hold true IRL), it was a subversion of the idiotic and outdated female gender norm I hate so much).

Other sex scenes are so superfluous most of the time, that I often don't even remember that there were any :D

Yes, it's really a pity... I mean ok, who am I to judge a different culture about their norms, our society is seriously flawed regarding such unfair treatments as well, but I don't have to like that personally.
Oh, well, I've never been to Fiji (never been out of Canada tbh) but I will definitely go once I'm done with next semester :D Definitely whitewashing/brownwashing/whateverwashing is a problem in almost all societies

That's true, South Korea definitely has the biggest following out of all Asian countries internationally, but I think China will surpass them in a few years. The production value of their movies and dramas is already off the charts. I'm especially excited about  Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy, the trailer makes it look like amovie rather than a TV series. Also, nobody produces better historical dramas than the Chinese and their culture is just so diverse and multifaceted. The difference between China and the other countries with large populations (USA, Indonesia, India, Brazil, Russia, Nigeria etc.) is that it is clearly dominated by only one ethnic group which is why their domestic market alone is soon going to bigger than the USA's in revenue.
I'm hoping for Thai lakorns, Indonesian movies(The Raid is so well done especially considering the rather small budget) and Vietnamese entertainment to become big as well. Especially Vietnamese because the language is so beautiful mysterious unique lyrical (google Thuy Chi and listen to her lovely voice)and the culture and history so old(apparently as old as Chinese history)

As of now, I love Japanese dramas best, Korea does not impress me as much with their dramas though they do have a few standouts each year. This summer season was great for japanese dramas. I enjoyed
Suizokukan girl(very casual simple and charming, don't expect a brilliant story or anything, it's about a ditzy office lady who is transferred to an aquarium), Juken no Cinderella(the relationships between the characters are so enjoyable, by the end of the drama you'll have cried buckets), ON Ijou Hanzai Sousakan Todo Hinako(because Haru is one of my favourite actresss)
Your home is my business/Ie Uru Onna(I think you may like this one :D, she's tough and fierce and interesting and happens to also be beautiful),
Yamikin Ushijima kun season 3(every season of Yamikin Ushijima kun has been great though it is very male oriented),
Keiji nin season 2(as good as season 1, I'd rate the series as high as Legal High),
Kami no Shita o Motsu Otoko(strange and confusing, might not be your cup of tea but I liked it),
Gurame Souri no Ryoriban(watching episode 3 rn, the pacing is quite nice),
Toki o Kakeru Shoujo(high school, summer, love, sciencefiction, what's not to like),
Aogeba Toutoushi(highly recommended, typical japanese drama formula with a lot of heart, it was wonderful to see the boys and girls develop and mature and come together),
Soshite, Daremo Inakunatta( have not seen it yet but I've heard very good things)

The Razia Sultan TV series exists only in my head :P Sorry to have misled you, it was just another movie idea. I should have made myself clearer
I love to watch indian drama and bollywood movies. Some of the Indians shows like kapil sharma showThe Kapil Sharma Show is an Indian Hindi stand-up comedy and talk show. Besides Kapil, the show stars Ali Asgar, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar, while Navjot Singh Sidhu serves as the permanent guest., I am Not Indian But also like Indian Fashion shows or Indian cultures according to men suiting and different othersnew styles of  Mens creative hairstyles 2017 with beared styles.. Indian Actors Played a very well role to promote their culture or fashion...
Hi!
My parents are from India and I grew up/live in NYC.

I love all of your suggestions. I would love to learn more about historical events/figures in India through movies/dramas.

:)
@bokhbokh
anything that's got anything to do with the history touches the sentiments of indian people. they are cool but not as much open minded(like you mentioned about PC). a few weeks ago there was assault on the sets of the film Padmavati (yes, padmavati is being made right now)
there were conflicts when Bajirao Mastani was released but these weren't much known.
and also when Jodhaa Akbar was released, very widely criticized.

so unless they are accurate to the t, at least to the public's eye, your ideas being popular with the indian populace is difficult.

about Razia Sultana  : i think there was a serial airing last year or so on some channel, it's also being dubbed into indonesian.
a few films have been made about: akbar, salim, jodha, anarkali, ashoka
tv serials about: Ashokamarana pratap, tipu sultan, chandragupta maurya, akbar, Chanakyabuddha,
