J-group or solo artist recommendation

I know there is a favorites post with different artists but I am looking for a specific sound/genre. I am into music that resembles an R&B sound or indie sound (smooth & mellow)  Can someone recommend some artists that I should check out.  I think it's time for me to branch out and start adding some Japanese music to my collection.
