So I love Halloween but don't do scary movies. Have you any suggestions to go along this theme?

To start the ball rolling these two are great

Hocus Pocus- loved Bette Midler in this.

Practical Magic -Sandra Bullock is just the best.

Hmm if you're looking for a halloweenish theme, you might like Sweeney Todd. It's somewhat under the horror genre but it was more of a super fun watch rather than actual horror. I watched it a few months back and loved it!

  • Ghostbusters
  • The Addams Family
  • Edward Scissorhands
  • Labyrinth
  • Halloweentown (probably only enjoyable if you watched it when you were little and you can enjoy the nostalgia factor)
  • All the Harry Potter movies, but the first one in particular
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
  • Phantom of the Opera
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Monsters Inc.
  • Maleficent
  • Warm Bodies

Great options above

Asian- wise I liked Pee Mak. It has a couple jump scares BUT if you've ever seen any of the Scary Movies'- it's just like that. It's more along the lines of ridiculous funny scary than omg hide under the blankets sleeping with the light on scary

Fantastic suggestions. I think I might go for Maleficent tonight.

Does anyone know of any really old...eg. black and white movies that had a Halloween theme?
