I'm a fan of songs from the 1980s. I have many favourites but I love songs from Wham! and George Michael. I would like to know if there are any 80s fans who have a favourite song. Name as many as you like. It can be any genre :)

I love these songs! :D

 Fansof_heo:

I love these songs! :D

My iTunes library is populated by these and many other 45s, 33s, tapes and CDs I bought over the years. There are many more in my 80s playlists, but to list all the songs and/or albums I still listen to with regularity would take far too long.

My list would be very long too haha

If I have to drive for longer than 2 hours with passengers, I have "Gold" by Spandau Ballet and ABC's "The Lexicon of Love" albums on shuffle & repeat. Unfortunately, my younger sister for whom I often chauffeured this is now also her habit despite having very different taste in music (heavy metal fan).

My music taste is quite the same as my parents and my siblings pick on the music I listen to :( I have many on repeat depending on my mood such as:

  • Wham!
  • George Michael
  • Elton John
  • Queen
  • Madonna
  • Guns n' Roses

Gosh I can go on forever.

I admit I liked Madonna back in the 80s and attended a concert. My mother was a fan of Queen. As for the rest on your list, I could take them or leave them.

Speaking of concerts, I once undertook a 14-hour (each way) bus journey to see Depeche Mode live. It was worth it!!!!!

Ooh! Depeche Mode are so cool!

Oh, 80's music is so great :D. Here are some songs that I love:

  • Faith - George Michael (starting with your fave :D)
  • Just Like Heaven - The Cure
  • Drive - The Cars
  • True - Spandau Ballet
  • Purple Rain - Prince
  • So In Love - Orchestal Manouvers in the Dark
  • If You Leave - OMD again
  • Wishing Well - Terence Trent D'Arby
  • Head over heels - Tears for fears
  • Head over heels - The Go Go's
  • She drives me crazy - Fine Young Cannibals
  • Cool it now - New edition
  • Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes
  • Fast Car - Tracy Chapman
  • Luca - Suzanne Vega
  • More than this - Roxy Music
  • It's my life - Talk talk
  • Most of the 80s singles released by Queen (huge fan), Michael Jackson and Madonna haha.

I better stop, there's too many more, including some of Buannaiche picks, +1 Blue Monday, +1 West End Girls, +1 Don't you Forget about me, +1 Mad Word, +1 Beds are burning.

Omg! I love all of these!! :D

Yay :D. I think 80s pop music is so easy to like, so dynamic and melodic. I’ve never taken the time to check out the full discographies of most of the artists I listed, but I have a deep love for their hit singles. Maybe one day, but whenever I have free time I’d probably watch a drama instead haha.

Yeah same with me. I love so many but with some artists,  I stick with the biggest hits but I need to listen to all their songs in the albums :D

OMGs!!!!

Love:
