What's the purpose of Favorite Genres in General Account Settings?

I dont know if this is already asked before but...

Im just wondering whats the use of Favorite Genre checkbox in Account Settings.
Since it doesnt show up in profile and theres a separate one to find dramas, what is it for in our profile?

...so is it a feature that is still in progress?
