"Love Exposure" tells an epic tale of love, family, religion, and sex. Tsunoda Yu and Yoko meet under the most unusual of circumstances. After Yu loses a bet with his friends he agrees to go into the city dressed as a woman and kiss the first woman he sees. When they go into the city Yu and his friends comes across a young teenage girl named Yoko who is surrounded by a group of thugs. Yu, still dressed as a woman, then helps Yoko beat up the gang of thugs. Afterwards Yu kisses Yoko and runs away. Yu for the first time falls in love with a girl, but Yoko falls in love with the woman in drag known only as Miss Scorpion. Meanwhile, Yu is being followed by Koike Aya, a member of the cult group "Zero Church." Koike Aya devises a plan to bring Yu's entire family into the "Zero Church," but first she will gain the favor of Yoko by masquerading as Miss Scorpion.

  According to me, this movie is simply brialliant!
  
  
  
  The plot is really original as it is a mixture of many different genres - comedy, splatter, romance, action, erotism and a lot more - nevetheless it not patchy at all.
  
  
  
  The protagonist is unconventional, he's both a hero and an anti-hero, a boy in love and a pervert. Moreover we understand why he has become like that, how his father's fundamentalism has almost destroyed his mind.
  
  
  
  The director was brave enough to deal directly with very controversial issues, which are still seen as a taboo, as for example female masturbation.
  
  
  
  The movie is quite long but you never get bored watching it because it is always surprising! read more

  Wow, I watched this just now and I am still speachless. I started watching it without knowing how long it was going to be. Maybe that would have shocked me off if I had known - I am glad I didn't.
  
  As for the story, of course it is totally extreme, vulgar and shocking, but it was acted out incredibly good, without making fun of any of the really serious subjects and without being laughable.
  
  The characters were thoroughly thought about and there were no stereotypes. There were no "good" and "bad" characters, either.
  Of course the acting was great. You must be a great actor to pull off extreme scenes like there were so many in this movie. It must have been really, really hard.
  
  I would recommend everyone who's old enough (well as said before, it IS kind of extreme) to watch this. It is definitely worth it and a masterpiece. read more
