The last foe is a new "Death," created by man. To solve the Kira Case, L (Kenichi Matsuyama) leaves Los Angeles convincing Kira is in Japan. At the same time, his intuition tells him that he may never be able to return to Los Angeles again... Known as Kira, Light Yagami, using the Death Note, attempts to become God of a criminal-free new world. By L's ultimate choice, the Kira Case closes, but, at the same time, L loses Watari who was L's most trusted partner. After Watari left, L takes on the task of solving the cases left in Watari's file. As all the cases are solved, a "gift" addressed to Watari arrives. The gift is a little boy. From the SD card the BOY has in his possession, L learns that the child is the only survivor of the Thai village, which was exterminated. L also discovers that a huge conspiracy, utilizing a man made "Death," was on the move behind the Thai village tragedy. Meanwhile, L has another visitor. The girl's name is Maki, and she tells L that she has brought something her father, who died a horrible death, told her to deliver to Watari. As L realizes the item the girl brought is, indeed, the "Death" in question, pursuers are closing in. Protecting the two children, L physically makes moves to solve the horrendous case. However, there were only 6 days left for him.

This movie seemed a bit pointless to me. After watching the first two death notes and having the second film end the way it did. I was unsure of what this movie would be about. Since the first two films were rounded off so nicely.

This film seems to have nothing to do with the fist two death notes, except for the fact that L's in it. But this film could be a completely unrelated film if it wanted to be. It doesn't even feature a death note.

For this reason I'm going to review this movie as if it was a seperate film from the death note series...

The acting was good, L is such a loveable character that he doesn't even have to say

Basically, this movie is apart from the first 2 movies before.. There's nothing about Death Note, basically, just a filler chapter of L's remaining life.. So let's simply put this as a completely different movie than Death Note.

The story itself is original. Because I am from a biology major, I can say that the science feature is realistically made. The details are great (except for some details when they actually works with virus without any protection in some scenes). The flow of the story actually great (actually I don't understand why other people said it's crappy). It flows nicely, dragged in some parts, but overall it's really nice.

The acting: we all agree that Kenichi Matsuyama already portray's L's character really nicely.. His character is

I watched this a long time ago, but I remember being excited about it because I really like Kenichi Matsuyama. But then when I watched it, I laughed a lot... And it wasn't supposed to be funny. I just remember it being really silly and unfocused.

Wait, I thought L and Light both died in Deathnote 2... So why are they both back in the third movie??? (I've never read the manga)... Is this movie supposed to go in between the other two???? Soooo confused....

I wish there will be part 4. xD I feel that this movie was too short.. HAHA!
The anime and the drama have a difference, but its awesome! and also I wish in the movie that I can see "near" are acting like more genius than L like what in the anime does. :)) also I love L's accent when he speaks diff. language when he was solving some cases.. xD :DD
