What can I say? I loved this drama! It's, without a doubt, one of the best I've seen so far. It had me hooked from the very beginning, leaving little space for dull moments. Every time a plot twist was resolved, it only meant the beginning of another that would just keep as hooked as the one that just ended.

Some may say it's a mix of Coffee Prince, Hana Kimi and Boys Before Flowers. But to me, this falls short to the final product. Even if it uses familiar themes present in these other dramas, Sungkyunkwan Scandal's characters are different and the plot refreshing. It is too simple to describe it as a combination of the aforementioned stories, for its historical setting

This was really an exceptional drama! It's one of the best I've seen so far. Although the whole girl pretending to be a boy thing is not new, the setting and situation is fresh. This gives it a very different style than all the dramas it has been compared to. The beginning is slightly confusing if you have no knowledge of Korean history, traditions or culture. But as you watch, you will understand. I like how there is friendship built and emphasized as the characters encounter little twists and obstacles.

The characters play well off each other as their chemistry is greate and the actors are all well suited for their parts. And honestly, the guys are very cute :P

    One notable thing

  • Both are brilliant historical gender bender dramas. Like your girls dressing as boys? This is for you.

I'm glad I finally got around to this one on my list. Really enjoyable. Also...best last minute of a historical drama ever! Am I right, or am I right?! But watch it all the way through! Don't spoil it for yourself - You'll be missing all the great nuances of the superb acting if you skip around! ^^

I have seen the 2 first epsiodes, I have to say, they were kind of boring.. I feel like everyone loves this drama, does it get better later, or did everyone love it from the start? hehe, I really don't want to drop it, because it seems like such a good drama.. but I don't want to watch it continues like thiss..

It's better once she's actually in the school and some more plot points get revealed. The setup and the (pretty useless) explanations of some of the exam terms is not very exciting. Hang on at least until the Hong Byuk Seo (red messenger) shows up. I can't remember what episode, I'm pretty sure it's 3 or 4.

Yeorim <3 I loved this drama! The Joseon F4, I loved them more than the BOF F4 (hardcore Yoong Ji-hoo fan so you know that means a lot)!
Really great storyline and I love how Yoo Ah In (Moon Jae Shin) and Song Joong Ki (Gu Yong Ha) won a best couple award for their roles xD

I loved this drama. I watched it on hulu originally. The characters are awesome and it was so funny. I bought the series and have watched it several times. One of my favorite all time. I loved the contrasts in the characters, they were all great, but my favorite guy, hands down was Moon Jae Shin..ahh so fantastic.

This drama was without a doubt one of the best dramas I ever saw. Every character was different and beautiful in his(it's?) own way. I loved those "Joseon F4" so much and I already miss them now... Fighting!! <3 <3 <3

This is a very, very good drama!! I enjoyed every minute of it and it made me want to know more about that historical time period and that type of University. I read that this story was taken from a book and I would be very interested to find the English version but was not lucky so far. In any case I really appreciated the four main leads as they made a great team: each of them had a very definite and particular personality that blended well with all the others and the story is fun and interesting. I absolutely loved the setting, the costumes and the OST...this is another very well made drama that I highly recommend and that I will certainly rewatch soon.

This drama is so well made, loved every moment of it. It's what made me want to also watch Rooftop Prince and Innocent Man! I seriously love both Yoochun's and Song Joong Ki's acting :))

I like the summary and sounds very interesting but i have no taste for historical settings.so I pushed my self to watch the 1st episode, then i fell for song joong ki's character. now i am having a second lead syndrome that is restraining me from watching this drama.

Until this, I hadn't particularly liked historical dramas. Now I am hooked! If anyone can recommend any .. it'd be very much appreciated :) Song Joong Ki was the reason I started watching this. Him and Yoo An In ..... OMG *swoooooooooon*
