As I'm thinking about what to write, I remember talking to my husband about this drama one night and trying to break it down for him and it got a bit messy. I guess that's a fair description for this drama. It started out really cute, then the love triangle gets thrown in, complicated back stories arise and, at last, there's a dramatic turn of events once everything is revealed. The whole thing was just a bit messy. Halfway through I couldn't really figure out where this drama was trying to go. The story wasn't horrible, just could have been cleaned up a bit instead of going in a bunch of different directions.

I did like almost all of the characters, with the exception of Panda

Of the few dramas I have watched, Panda and Hedgehog was easily the most disappointing. It had such a strong premise and beginning, such cute characters and a storyline that just made you smile with every episode. In fact the happy feeling from the first 5 episodes is fairly reminiscent of the way To The Beautiful You made me feel.

Then they turned Pan Da into this annoying caricature of a woman, and started trying to throw in twists that were obvious from a mile away. I know there is a Korean term for it, but for me, this show just kept jumping the shark!

But enough negativity, since there really are some good things about this show that make it worth watching. Firstly, Won Yi.

OMG the cute guys in this drama! <3 These guys and Oh Yi Na are what have kept me watching. Aside from her quirky name Pan Da Yang is a sort of pathetic and forgettable character. Although I don't find her annoying, I suspect many will.

I had STRONG suspicions about the plot twist unusually early in this drama (around episode 5, I think). I was kind of disappointed about that. I'm not usually able to figure out these things so far ahead of time.

For some reason I find myself loving every single once of this drama incluing the actors and the story...I loved how its not as fluffy as you would expect it to be and there are twists in it that you just don't fin in the typical food dramas....IT MAKES ME WANT TO GO TO CAFE PANDA...if only it existed! Truely a well made drama and Donghae played a perfect character...I LOVE THIS DRAMA still can't understand why!

I really liked this drama. At first i stopped watching it since i got annoyed at the characters but decided to watch it again a month later. good thing i did coz i really enjoyed it. I just hate how the ending was. Im glad no one died but its like they just rushed the ending. and not only that its like after hedgehog gets hit in the head it switches to them all wearing black then its not what you actually think which is good but if your gonna have an opening for a new cafe why wear black. other than that just how they made the ending kinda ruined it.

I love this drama! Partially because it's good and also partially because my younger sister is able to keep up with it. It's so funny, my younger sister has a hard time telling people apart in Asian dramas... so when she realized practically everyone had a nickname in this drama, it was easy for her to follow. Eventually we even made up nicknames for characters that didn't have any. It's quite funny, especially when she walks in the room and says, "That's Hedgehog right? And that's Tomboy, isn't it."

Heartwarming but it was too over with the cuteness and not enough depth for me.

[FYI #4 (I'm sorry for the continous FYIs but I just find it amazing and funny how it the 2 dramas have the same casts and everything. HAHA!)] I'm reaching the end of It's Okay, Daddy's Girl and how could I notice it just now?! I never realized that the doctor director in the former was actually HalPae! HAHAHA! Oh cute grandfather! 7 people on the same dramas. I find it really amusing.

[FYI #3] Pan Da Na was also in It's Okay, Daddy's Girl. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

[FYI] ... to add up to what I said, Choi Won Il's mom is also in It's Okay, Daddy's Girl. It's really getting funnier for me. =))I did a little bit of research And I think I know the reason behind this same cast thingy -- it's because It's Okay, Daddy's Girl and Panda and Hedgehog have the same screenwriter. Although I do not know how the writer gets to cast who she wants. According to Worlds Within, the cast is up to the director. Wow, the writer must've loved the actors for her dramas. :P

I don't know if anyone has noticed this but most of the cast are also in It's Okay, Daddy's Girl which starred Choi Jin Hyuk and Lee Dong Hae. So they've been close since then. Choi Won Il, Choi Won Il's sister, Go Seung Ji and the other chef who has no talent are all in It's Okay, Daddy's Girl. I just find it funny since all of them have been casted in the same drama again. HAHAHA.

It's one of those light dramas you'd watch when you're in the mood for something easy, funny and romantic - and in the mood for eating :P

    I really LOVED it. :)
