    JUMONGAHOLIC...

To say I was apprehensive about watching such a time consuming drama is an understatement, but strong emotional performances, masterful martial arts and an enthralling soundtrack...... help make this a wonderfully entertaining saga. Jumong reminds me a lot of King Arthur. King Arthur had his wizard Merlin and Jumong had Yeomiul. King Arthur had his Round Table knights and Jumong had his brotherhood, etc...

Also recommend "Kingdom of The Winds", which is the story of Jumong's grandson and also stars Song Ill Gook.

JUMONG is one of the best korean drama i have seen until now because it has everything: action, romance, history, music, drama, a very well made plot and intrigue and everything is combined in a beatiful story that has to be seen by everyone who is in love with asian dramas.

I've watched it out of curiosity because it played a major part in the korean wave. I'm very critical when it comes to hyped movies and dramas, so my expectation were high. But I was surprised how addicted I became and how much I enjoyed this drama. It truly deserves the hype and every recognitin it got. Excellent cast, nice soundtrack without being too penetrant, great acting from everyone (which is usually not the case in most of dramas), good pacing and execution. The plot never felt dragging despite the huge numbers of episodes. Through this drama I got to know some fine actors such as Song Il Gook, Bae Soo Bin and Han Hye Jin.

You really root for the underdog in this one. The pace is great so But I really enjoy the fragments where he's practising and gaining strength. This is the kind of drama I love, we see a character groeth throughtout and so many endearing chracters whose fate you wish you could change and let them be happy, for once.
