    1. Reply 1988

    Korean Drama - 2015, 20 episodes

    9.5

This is a must-watch. Although I didn't live in that era, I somehow related to it. The ensemble cast is fantastic and full of chemistry. Unlike the other Reply series, this one is more family-oriented. Many may find it slow or tedious, but I thought the pacing was appropriate. Though it is long (20 eps/90 mins each ep), I found it enjoyable! I really connected with Deok Seon and her personality. She's so cute and funny, and Hye Ri's portrayal was perfect. I really like the guy that she ended up with.

  • Because This Is My First Life

    2. Because This Is My First Life

    Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes

    9.5

What can I say, this show is so adorable! This is my first time watching a show from both Jung So Min and Lee Min Ki, but I fell in love with them. Their chemistry is just everything. The execution was done extremely well. Like Reply 1988, this show has a decent ensemble cast. Although I wasn't as interested in the other two couples' stories, they were fun to watch. Romantic comedies are usually not my type of genre, because of the unfunny "comedic" scenes and cringe romantic scenes. The funny moments of this drama are so hilarious, it's my type of humor. And I surprisingly liked the cringe scenes and found myself grinning over them. Multiple times, I swooned over Lee Min Ki and his character. I also loved the ending!

P/S: My favorite thing about this show is the kissing scenes!

    3. Twenty-Five Twenty-One

    Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

    8.0

I love Nam Joo Hyuk (who doesn't) and I really liked Kim Tae Ri in Mr. Sunshine. At first, I didn't intend on watching this K-drama, maybe because the synopsis and the trailers/teasers weren't appealing to me. But oh boy, after the pilot episode, I was in love with the show. Na Hee Do is so inspiring and genuinely a comedian. Kim Tae Ri's a goddess and she's such a good actress. The ensemble cast is decent and they have great chemistry. The squad reminded me of the gang from Reply 1988. I must say though, I liked the first 6 episodes the most, but then it got slower. I still thoroughly enjoyed it!

  • Hi Bye, Mama!

    4. Hi Bye, Mama!

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    8.0

I didn't expect myself to be so emotionally attached to this show. You can't hate any of the characters, they're so sweet and kind. Yu Ri is such a strong woman and I look up to her. I also love the stepmom. Usually, stepmoms are portrayed as mean and cruel, but in this show, she's warmhearted. I was surprised to learn that the child actor is a boy and not a girl! He's so cute. Just a heads-up, you will go on an emotional rollercoaster.

I don't usually watch historical dramas, but this show has my heart. I didn't know that this drama is based on true events (some are fictitious) and historical figures until I read comments online. It was an outstanding k-drama and deserves to be nominated for Best Drama (Baeksang Arts Award). I've never seen a drama from both Lee Se Young and Jun Ho, but just like BTIMFL, I fell in love with them. Their on and off-screen chemistry is so delightful to watch. I respect Deok Im so much, she's so wise. One quote that I like from her is "The Crown Prince is dear, but I am dearer".  It's just so beautiful...? Must-watch for sure!

  • Hot Stove League

    6. Hot Stove League

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    9.0

This K-drama was unexpectedly amazing. I really didn't think I would be so hooked on a sports show. I don't like sports nor do I enjoy watching them, but Hot Stove League made me like baseball. Nam Goong Min is a talented and versatile actor, and I enjoyed his portrayal of his character. He's smart and wise. There was so much tension and I loved it!!! Go Dreams! There's always a cliffhanger at the end of every episode, which made me anticipate more.

  • Law School

    7. Law School

    Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes

    8.0

The first 10 minutes were engrossing. It hooked me from the very beginning and left me satisfied in the end. This show made me feel like a detective as I was trying to solve the case as well. So many things happened in every episode and you get to learn about everyone's side of the story. Professor Yang is such an interesting and kind of comedic character. My all-time favorite scene was from the first episode when Yangcrates called on Kang Seol A to answer a question, and she just stumbled. There was so much tension and you felt her anxiousness. I was like "That's so relatable". And the "It's pulling me under, it's driving me crazy" gets me every time. It plays at the end of every episode, and I love it.

  • Beautiful World

    8. Beautiful World

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    8.0

Never have I ever cried so many times than when I watched this K-drama. The pilot episode hooked me and I was so invested. The actors did such a good job, especially in the emotional scenes. I felt their pain and frustration. All they wanted was justice for their son, but gosh, some characters are just corrupt. Trigger warning, this show is on the heavier side.

    10. Dr. Romantic

    Korean Drama - 2016, 20 episodes

This is my all-time favorite medical show! Although a lot of people liked season 2 more, I actually loved the first season more. It was more interesting to watch, in my opinion. The cast is perfect, and the leads (Yoo Yeon Seok, Seo Hyun Jin, & Han Suk Kyu) have stellar chemistry. I love flawed characters as there's usually character development. Kang Dong Joo was frustrating at first, but he matured later on. He grew on me. Master Kim is harsh but full of wisdom. One line that he said was, "If you really want to get revenge, become a much better human being than those people." Despite his savage and cold-hearted words, he's so caring and quirky (I love his smile). I felt really bad for Yoon Seo Jung and what she went through :(. The episodes are so eventful and it gets better and better. My two favorite episodes are 1 and 8. The pilot episode was engaging and hooked me. Episode 8 dealt with a heavy topic but handled it sensitively.

  • Dr. Romantic Season 2

    11. Dr. Romantic Season 2

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    9.0

Though I said that season 1 was more enjoyable, the sequel is still a must-watch. The stories presented in each episode were so engaging. Ahn Hyo Seop's acting was really good and I consider this his best project. There were a lot of emotional scenes as well heavy topics.

    12. Crash Landing on You

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

Just like Goblin, this is another classic. I highly recommend this K-drama to beginners. The pilot episode didn't really hook me. I'm glad that I watched the second episode, that's when I was engaged.

  • Vagabond

    13. Vagabond

    Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes

    9.0

The first two episodes have been a bit slow, but it picked up after. There were a handful of plot twists that I didn't expect, and I love the slow-burn romance between Lee Seung Gi's and Suzy's characters. Each episode was fun to watch!

  • Vincenzo

    14. Vincenzo

    Korean Drama - 2021, 20 episodes

    9.0

I watched it because Song Joong Ki starred in it. At first, it was slow, but it picked up after the 3rd or 4th episode. You just need to wait till the first plot twist, and you'll be blown away! I never thought that comedy and crime would blend well together, but the writer, director, and actors made it possible! There were a ton of comical moments that you will die of laughter. Not only that, the intense scenes are just fun and interesting to watch! The people from Geumga Plaza are so funny and unique. I loved it! <3

  • Mr. Queen

    15. Mr. Queen

    Korean Drama - 2020, 20 episodes

Like Vincenzo, the comedy in this drama is top-tier. The chemistry between the leads is astounding. I never thought "No touching" would be so funny until I watched it. Historical dramas is not my cup of tea, but I enjoyed it thoroughly!

This show just gives off good vibes and it does. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments and they're hilarious. The lovey-dovey scenes are cute as well! Like BTIMFL, the kissing scenes were memorable.
