    Do you believe in magic?

Beautiful show, cinematography, art direction in every episode. Dreamy, Magical, Musical, Emotional, Relatable. Love love love, combination of fantasy + reality. Major Alice in Wonderland, Willy Wonka, Disney vibes. Haven't felt this way in so long, fully kept me focused clapping and singing along, watched this at normal speed too! wow hahaha that just tells you how much I enjoyed it. Such a massive rollercoaster of emotions, flashbacks to all that I loved as child too, overall reflecting upon the now/ past / future, relating to the hardships, so many themes - life journeys, facing harsh realities at a young age, parents expectations, financial, stealing, cherishing little memories that hold value just to us, test scores, being the no.1, social stigma, expectations, misunderstandings, responsibilities as an adult, being seen as unusual because you don't fit in, re encountering your first love seeing how they are doing, feeling inspired an adopting it to your own new path. So giddy and excited at every scene. Ji Chang Wook in this show was superb suited this role so so much, adorable relationship with the parrot. Ending of ep.4 made me cry a lot. I loved each of the 3 main character's stories so much, all complementary and super relatable to my own, and to figuring out what is it that we want to do / challenging and choosing something that will only make sense to us. So many inspiring quotes and lessons to take from ranges of topics. + dreams &  future, self. 'as long as you have only 1 person that believes in you'. “Flowers don’t bloom on smooth asphalt, but on bumpy dirt”. Loved the sound design / melodies choices of instruments. Finally a show where romance was not central / didn't take away from the narrative

  • Flower of Evil

    6. Flower of Evil

    Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes

    9.5

Incredible direction of the story, followed a really good chronological narrative, with each episode in or mind we could keep track of the things left to the story to be solved, up until the very end the drama did not fail in delivering what the audience wanted to see. Amazing actors, the details in the acting/emotions was spectacular. Interesting story of the main character being evil sometimes giving me La cash de paper vibes with both really smart main leads - the wife being driven by love but incredibly smart. One moment for every tears shed during this show - from thinking loving a psychopath with no emotions (often the case nowadays which we can relate) to witnessing the story unfold and develop by each episode - suddenly jiwon being the only cause of emotion he will - empathy and sympathy - incredible portrayals, beautiful relation.

The plot twists fall right with the story and everything makes perfect sense, no questions asked - which is very rare, every detail stood a purpose and it was really smart to take a little step back to understand why each element was chosen to be shown in each way.

Crime/investigative dramas ave never been my favourite types but this one is totally phenomenal.

*spoiler alert* e.g. from each of the deaths of the evils, to the shot to the head, to the reason why the sister flew as she after all did murder someone and she believes she shouldn't be loved but rather focus on recreating her life before coming back

  • Twenty-Five Twenty-One

    11. Twenty-Five Twenty-One

    Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes

    9.0

Realistic, very relatable to how a 'first love' is, the story - personal experiences. emotionally attached to the pain and the journey. made perfect sense, loved the journey through the diary, the pov. of heedo's child reading it and feeling inspired. Very reflective and meaningful, so many concepts - from time, to moving on, to realising differences and acceptance. Bonus: increases your motivation / determination to go after your dreams and to keep on going too. OST absolutely beautiful too. Holds a special place in my heart. *if you ask me I am still emotional and can talk about this for days*

  • Little Women

    14. Little Women

    Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes

    9.0

Interesting concepts and relation - loved that it was very story driven.

Totally unpredictable and new, loved it, although a lot of penthouse elements e.g. characters die the next episode they are alive again lol. Unique storyline besides and concept e.g with the blue orchids, intriguing and very interesting. On edge up until the very end, loved the male characters that did anything to protect our main sisters, love the not much romance element but left to us to interpret if they have feelings for the main characters or not, very story driven which is what I like about a show, lovely messages at the ending but it could have been more, a lot of potentials to a wrap.
