He was traded to the Nexen Heroes in 2011 but immediately lost his 18th straight game. He was traded to the Lotte Giants in 2014 but his performances continued to decline and he thought about retiring but kept playing. In 2015, he signed as a free agent with the Hanwha Eagles playing 3 seasons with them before returning to the LG Twins for one last season before retiring at the end of 2019.
He was hired by MBC Sports+ as a baseball commentator in 2020.
