He made his debut in 2011 as the group's leader and main vocalist with the digital single "Message." The group was created by singer Hwanhee and H2 Media (H2미디어) and became more successful in Japan, getting offers for commercials and even becoming representatives for several brands.
In 2019, H2 Media stated the group had disbanded, but the members strongly denied it, so the agency later clarified that the group was still active. However, all members are currently focusing on their individual activities, with occasional fan meetings or events.
He enlisted for his mandatory military service on March 20, 2020, and was discharged on December 19, 2021. Soon after, he changed his stage name to NiiiiiA.
