In the beginning of the year 2001, when he was 13, he joined Johnny's Entertainment (JE) and stayed as a Jr. In March 2010, after 9 years, without debuting, Shoon resigned from JE. During his time in JE, he was in the group Ya-Ya-yah that was formed in December 2001. When the group disbanded in 2007, Yamashita went solo, appearing on JE shows, The Shounen Club and Hyakushiki Ou. After leaving JE, Shoon started a website and blog with his brother, Leon. They closed the website and blog for a short period of time to focus on their studies. They opened their blog,「Flying Sheep's Cafe」, once more in June 2011, which is currently open and active.
