Xu Hong Yu is a Chinese director. He graduated with a first-class honors degree from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong (2001–2004), and went to Syracuse University in New York, the United States, as an exchange student (2003–2004). In 2023, he won the "Top Five Young Directors of the Year" award in the 6th Chuxin List for the series "I Am Nobody" (异人之下).
