In 1920, he became a subordinate of the new actor Takeda Masanori and made his stage debut in Tokyo. In 1921, he joined the troupe of Koori Keiichiro, and in 1923, he studied under Murata Shikibu for onnagata training. However, due to the recession immediately after that, he gave up on being a stage actor and joined Makino Production Omuro Studios in February 1927, where he appeared in numerous works. After the dissolution of Makino Production in October 1931, he transferred to Shochiku Kyoto Studio in November of the same year. In 1939, he turned to Toho and appeared in numerous works until the end of the war.
After the war, he joined Shintoho, which was created in 1947 under the influence of the Toho dispute (1946-1948), and was active until the bankruptcy of Shintoho in 1961. After that, he became a freelancer and was active for a long time, but he was hospitalized for an illness in 1973, and retired due to deafness.
In the "Complete Works of Japanese Movie Actors Actors" published in 1979, he is shown as a living person, but his whereabouts after that are unknown. He has an unknown year of death. Edit Biography
