Bland

I can't complain much about the actors, most played their roles well. The FL I hate to say isn't very good at expressing/conveying romantic feelings in this. However, the biggest issue is the story itself is poorly written. The bickering main couple have chemistry, it's just written that they are pretty much platonic, so gives more of a bickering sibling vibe on the FL's side. The ML does admirably to portray the romance, being able to convey longing, jealousy, desire, and love with a script mostly devoid of skinship and an overly childish partner. Literally has only a few episodes of hand holding, 3 kisses, and the occasional hug. Most of the side characters only pop up here and there to move the plot along, before disappearing. The FL is supposed to be cute and "innocent" , and to show this she was stupid, wore pigtails with a tshirt and shorts or a jumper most of the time, demonstrated no real desire/attraction towards men, immediately forgave everyone that harmed her, (except for the ML), literally taking every stranger as her best friend no matter what they did, pouting, and singing a silly song repeatedly like a 5 yr old. Only character that demonstrated growth was the ML. Story and characters suddenly changed out of the blue, so problems would be created and solved instantly...ie agent's storyline. She repeatedly damaged ML's career trying to break them up, not out of jealousy but because she was concerned him being in love would damage his career. She was really in love with FL's guy friend...sure that makes sense. The scheming BFF that talked FL into signing the marriage contract to get the house back, was shocked to find contract later on and realize the marriage was fake. There are more examples, but those are the worst. OST is forgettable, actual romance is lacking, will definitely not rewatch.

Surprisingly sweet

Not sure why the reviews are so negative. This is exactly what it's billed as, a light-hearted romance drama. The story is not super elaborate, with crazy super villians or a seemingly omniscient domineering ML. The drama didn't have the usual tropes, such as the crazy obsessive female bent on forcing the ML to marry her, annoying misunderstandings, breakups, multiple tripping episodes, or getting a fever from 5 seconds in the rain/cool weather. There was realistic company/family issues and a decently developed romance.
Nothing over-the-top. The actors did well in their roles. I especially liked the ML, nice to see him in a main role for once. There was decent and well handled character growth for the leads and many of the supporting cast. More than I've seen in flashier and longer shows. There is also more skinship. The story actually made sense. I will admit it does lack that wow factor. Perhaps because the trials the couple faced were more normal and nothing so terrible, it might have helped to focus more on the main couple's romance. Overall it was a refreshing watch.

Well-acted romance driven by a whole lot of nonsense

If abuse explained as love, with overwhelming unexplainable love for the abuser might bother you, this is a definite skip. If you can ignore illogical plot devices, abuse, and poor character development and only focus on the cute fluffy romance between the leads then this is an ok filler show.
Can't complain about the actors, they all did well in their roles. The screemwriters themselves killed the story. As others stated, there is no character development, backstories are a shallow, and plot/motives are lacking in depth and logic. This kind of sloppy writing makes it seem as if horrible parenting is the cultural norms. The grandfather exists in the story only to abuse his daughter and grandson. He is brought out only to ruin their happiness and worsen ML's problem. And yet, because of filial piety the mother ignores his behavior and pressures her son to accept the abuse as family love, which he does. Not acceptable! Filial piety is not a crutch to beat your family with. It's not honorable or noble to overlook abuse because it comes from a family member. If the mother was truely filial to her son and father, she'd have told her father his behavior is unacceptable and he has no place in their lives unless he changes!! Horrible parenting and insane love rivals are the most lazy and irritating plot devices in c and k dramas.
Thankfully they stopped the stupid male love rival fairly early and did not bring in a crazy female rival.

The explanation of his illness was ridiculous!! The writers glossed over the abuse by saying it was because he loved his grandson so much he couldn't help but call him "filthy, worthless garbage" when he wasn't ignoring him. ML developed mysophobia because the person he loved most kept calling him garbage. ? That is complete nonsense. Gpa isn't a bad guy for not clarifying the accident and letting them break up, because it was for the company . His driver did cause the accident, he made his driver turn himself in and gave the wife and kud money to help them out. In what way could this possibly hurt a company? Of course this was forgotten once the truth was out and the leads got back together. All is forgiven with gpa cause he said a few nice-ish things at the end when prompted by the mom, and gave him a box of old things he bought but never gave. More sloppy nonsense!!

Fell flat

They tried to make the both medical and firefighter action scenes seem exciting or dangerous using dialogue, instead of using appropriate stage props, cgi, or direction to the actors. For example firefighters had a fight over a cat stuck 7 feet up in a tree, where one firefighter refused to climb up the 5 or 6 steps to untangle it's leash, cause "cats have 9 lives, I only have one!" A 6 feet fall onto grass isn't going to kill anyone. Lifting a piece of rubble off a guy's legs when a mild aftershock was coming caused another argument about risking multiple firefighters' lives to save his legs, although there was minimal rubble around and they only had to lift something and pull him out.
Most of the actors played their roles decently, so can't really blame them. The romance was obviously meant to carry the drama, but sadly the FL was lacking in conveying emotion and progression of all romances was oddly disjointed due to poor script and bad editing. Not even sure why the couples like each other, they just suddenly became couples with a few minutes of interaction scattered throughout the initial episodes. It seems like they tried to cram in everything they could, so there is not much time spent on how things all develop. Those that didn't get along are suddenly friends(ML and other firefighters. ML and SML, FL and female Dr love rival) or lovers (the rookie and the squad leader, nurse and firefighter), so it's hard for viewers to connect with the romances or brotherhood emotionally. Overall bad editing, writing, and poor directing choices make it a difficult, somewhat boring watch, even for someone like me that is purely looking for entertainment and willing to overlook flaws in logic, plot, cgi, etc.
Gong Jun just couldn't save it no matter how charming he was.

Bland

Most of the casts' acting was good, ost forgettable, but the story was bland. The premise was interesting, but poorly executed. There is no real chemistry between the leads up to episode 15, with the FL being portrayed as selfish, ungrateful, spoiled, and downright hateful to the ML. Nothing really shown in the flashbacks, ML's history/backstory (has psychic abilities, was the smart kid in high school, attended college with her, and was taken in by her dad to live with them), or in present to explain his undying love towards the fl. The rest of the main cast, apart from the FL's friend and the SML, were entertaining and likeable. The main story only started to get somewhat interesting in episode 14. The side stories and the fun bromance between the handsome ML and his friend keeping me watching more than the so-called romance between the leads. Honestly hated the FL until she finally stood up for the ML at a press conference to keep him from resigning from the project. There is no growth to the leads' characters, their history is limited to brief flashbacks that explain next to nothing.
Instead they apologize to each other after she finally investigates the incident she blamed him for for over 4 years and suddenly she's jealous around other women and acting shy/cutesy around him. The FL has problems acting sad, caring, genuinely sorry, or loving, it came across really insincere and stiff. Pretty much only nailed anger/hate/jealousy, proud/arrogant. The rest of the cast did the best with their parts and carried the show without her. Definitely not worth rewatching as i had to play it at 1.25 x speed to keep from being annoyed or from dropping.

Long and not that interesting

Can't really blame the cast, their acting was good. Chemistry between leads was good. The story was just a ton of filler, with not much romance nor anything that interesting happening. The initial storyline is mostly about business. It's not nothing all that exciting to begin with, then throw in annoying parents, a bunch of boring side characters, a side character romance, and the same old crazy chick that thinks she is perfect and can force a guy to fall in love with her when he clearly finds her just shy of repulsive and this is what you get. Tried so hard to like, because I like the two lead actors, but the story is simply bland and way too long. The ost is forgettable, and has zero rewatch value. Even tried to read episode recaps to see if it gets more exciting, and sure enough it continues to plod along at the same boring pace with more drawn out side character stories that are sadly boring as well.
