Tissue Rate (aka how much I cried); 1.5 out of 5 (this was mostly out of anger/irritation)

To start off, I've NEVER EVER have been so annoyed/irritated watching a drama. This drama shouldn't even be 50 episodes. It's like BS adding on BS... One after another. Like please, I just want the two main characters to be happy without so much BS.

The storyline is not bad, its just the characters that are just annoying. But still I felt like this drama should've been at least 30 episodes, not 50 episodes... A lot of the scenes were very unnecessary and problematic, it felt as if the writers had it in mind that they wanted 50 episodes but after half way of the drama, they ran out of ideas to keep it going so they just added BS plots points until it got to episode 40...

Character thoughts; Ah Li (second female lead) is just so annoying and she really needs to stop trying to win He Ping's heart, like girl you know he has feelings for someone else. It's annoying to see her get jealous of Qiao Man over smallest things. Ah Li claims that she helped him a lot when he had nothing and she just wants him to like her back in return. But he has told her MULTIPLE times that he thinks of her as a older sister and would never date her. Everytime I see a scene with her in it involving Yang Lan (her assistant) in it, I feel disgusted with their actions smh... I hate people who are just so manipulative and just wants everything to go there way and is always playing the victim.

After episode 24, I was like "omg Qiao Man and He Ping can finally be happy together." But no, I was wrong. Of course, there were going to be more BS on top of BS. I just wish all everyone can just respect Qiao Man's choice with being with He Ping. Everyone just thinks they know what's best for Qiao Man, like she is a WHOLE adult and she can make decisions for herself. And they should also consider her feelings, if she is happy then let her be and let live her life.

This is a decent drama overall, it just gave me a few hundred headaches but anyways I would recommend this drama, if you want to be extremely stress and want your head to blow up lmao.

Lol, I think I'm more in love with Luo Yunxi because of this drama

Tissue Rate (aka how much I cried); 0.5 out of 5 (this drama really just me smile and laugh a lot)

Omg I don't even know where to begin with this drama! Like the cast is absolutely AMAZING! The two main leads (Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu) chemistry is so so cute (I love how comfortable they are with each other in the behind the scene clips)! I really hope there is going to be another drama together with them in it! I also really love how each character developed nicely and there weren't many backstabs throughout rivals (compared to other dramas) and I love how the main two leads always stayed true to each other and I love how they are always there for each other even if they one were to be upset with one another or something bad happened in the relationship. I also enjoy how sweet the romance is and how funny the scenes are whenever the kiss (lol like when the younger cousin saw making out or when Jiang Jun’s mom caught them on the couch). This drama has each a good lighthearted and feel good vibe that you get when watching this drama!

Also this drama has really made me fall in love with Luo Yunxi's acting (like really in love lol)! I've seen him in Ashes of Love and I loved his acting there but his acting in this drama just hits differently.

But overall, i definitely would recommend this drama to others (Already got one of my friend's hooked to this lol)!! The office romances in this drama was super lowkey and not cringey so don't be scared to go for it when starting this drama!!

Tissue Rate (aka how much I cried); 2.5 out of 5

- I give it a 2.5 out of 5 for how much I cried for this drama is mainly because I'M a emotional/sensitive person and most the times when I cried for this drama, it was because I felt bad for the main girl character Tian Sanqi

Wow this drama was so gooodddd! I would 100% recommend. Not only this is a quick and short type Chinese drama, but also the storyline was definitely an interesting one. I love the many plot twists that were apart of this story. The plot twist were what got me on my feet this whole drama.

I really thought I wasn't going to like this drama but because I was in quarantine and I needed a new drama to watch, I was like okay I'm going to watch this drama because I kept seeing clips of it on Youtube and trailer teasers as ads. Not gonna lie the first-two episodes definitely were the best, I was laughing so loud; my mom had to quite me down because I was watching this at night lol.

Story; This story was a super light heart storyline, personally I got super confused whenever they would show the scenes from 8 years ago when they were 10 years old (I'm just going to leave it like that because I don't want to spoil anything) but it later all came together nicely. I love the chemistry between the two main leads, BUT I didn't like that for the first few episodes, how he mentions he was her friend and was going to protect her but then ends up bullying her. I felt so bad for her (thats kinda why I cried; out of feeling bad). On top of that I'm glad the second lead Bai Yifei got a happy ending with He Ruoyao instead of giving us second lead syndrome with the first main female lead. What really kept me going was the crime and investigating scenes, I love how Sanqi was this strong female lead who didn't care what anyone thought about her.

Characters; My favorite character 100% was the father lead who was Zhao Cuo's dad. He made me laugh so much during this drama. I love that he sticks up for Sanqi and didn't care that she wasn't from a a rich family but she was from a small village, I love how they respect and treat her well unlike the other dramas I've seen with the father lead wanting the son to marry a rich family's daughter.

Overall, I would 100% recommend this drama, if you're looking for a good laugh alongside a cute romance storyline but also with crime and mystery cases to be solved.

the cutest drama!!

Tissue Rate (aka how much I cried); 0 out of 5
- I was more in "aw" then in a position where I wanted or felt I needed to cry lol

Omggg I ADORE these few modern episodes!! I think I actually like this modern drama more than the original historical version... I don't know something about this is just so refreshing to watch, but I am sad that it was super short.. I hope they make a second season or another drama together! I've seen both this, The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion and there other historical drama, The Legend of Yunxi and I think the acting, cast, and chemistry is amazing but I really would want to see them in more of a modern drama!

Tissue Rate (aka how much I cried); 3 out of 5

- I usually am picky about the historical Chinese dramas I watch and I always have a hard time finishing them or not trying to skip through an episode but coming into it, I had HIGH exception for this because it was the first drama I've seen on MyDramaList with a rating over a 9 as an average and also many people who I was friends with on twitter had suggest this drama because this was the drama that had lead them into watching historical Chinese dramas and my brother had even said it was good so I finally decided to watch it because I had nothing better to do for this corona quarantine lol...

Story; I gave it a 9 out of 10 because I was just tired of the bs the characters of the other clan had to say. Like they would only blame Wuxian/ Wei Ying because he had this magical power from the yin amulet. Also another downfall of mine for it to be a 9 out of 10 is because I didn't how Jiang Chang and Wei Ying ended there relationship, not exactly ended but how things got left off. At the end I wish Jiang Chang didn't let Wei Ying leave and actually say what he had to say because you clearly could tell he had something to say to Wei Ying but didn't say anything instead left him leave and then said "take care." There was so much misunderstanding between them, I wanted to see them amen things before leaving it as it is. But overall a 9 out of 10 serve its right, I really enjoyed the storyline despite the bs it came with. I like that the twist of the plot that it came with as I continued to watch it and not to mention the bromance was WONDERFUL, it wasn't to little but it also wasn't too much that it became cringy or anything.

Acting/Cast/Music; I LOVE LOVE LOVE the casting and how each and individually portrayed their character, you can really see the emotions through there acting. I especially loved Xiao Zhan character Wei Ying, I adore him so much for being such a kind soul despite all the hardship he had to go through and I love and appreciate Wang Yi Bo's character Lan Zhan for always standing by him even though he knows he could get in trouble for it. Music wise, I really enjoyed the outro song sung by Xiao Zhan and Wang Yi Bo, I would always watch the drama till the outro was done because I loved listening to it.

- Finally overall, I would re-watch this drama in a heart beat and I would recommend this drama to anybody who is into watching dramas despite it being not the kind of drama they would watch, I really feel like anyone would enjoy this drama ❤️

When I first started drama. Coming into it, I thought I wouldn't like it because I'm a picky person (generally) and I never finish the historical drams I watch or I would just skip a bunch of the episodes and only watch the parts that interest me but the first episode surprised me and I decide to continue to watch it.

First Episode Impression: I like how it was straight to the point. The main female lead Yunxi ( played by Ju Jingyi), I love how bold she is and she never doubts herself. I like how it was a cliff hanger type of first episode where it keeps you guesting "what happen?" or "why is it like this?". It keeps you on your feet.

- Later on all the questions you had about episode one, would be answered in episode two and three.

Chemistry: I LOVE LOVE the two main leads. Prince Qin (as known as Long Feiye), he portrays a cold hearted prince who all cared about revenging for Qinxi kingdom and finding the Poison Master to cure his Gu Abette poison that is in his system. But I love how he slowly starts to open up to Yunxi and suddenly you see that this cold heart prince, has a soft side and also love that every time she is in trouble or a dangerous situation, he is there to be the first one to help her. Yunxi, I love how devoted she is to Feiye. She never once told the Queen Mother about Prince Qin and despite the threats the Queen Mother would give her about her mother (Yunxi's mother), Yunxi would still never tell the Queen Mother about it.

This drama is the first Chinese historical I felt different about and the first drama where I'm willing to sit down and rematch it. The emperor throne story is still very similar to other historical dramas but the love interest was different. It was just like a simple love story it was a lot more. It was about a kid who was tested and forced to be a Gu Abette person and the arrange marriage between those two (Long Feiye and Han Yunxi) was more complex than most historical dramas. It was a arrange marriage assigned to Han Yunxi to spy on Prince Qin but later finds out she has fallen in love with him. I don't know but this drama will forever be in my heart, I love the two main leads so much, I hope to see them in a future drama together!! ❤️

Realistic that it annoys me lmfao

Tissue Rate (aka how much I cried); I didn’t really cry, I was more frustrated then emotional for this drama

- I think this drama is really good at portraying how it feels to be in a relationship with someone who you deeply are connected with but it just doesn’t work. I think the acting was perfect, it made me feel anxious, annoyed but also mesmerize by how well the chemistry between Song Kang and Han So Hee.

- I LOVE LOVE LOVE this drama for including a bit of the LGBT+ community with Sol and Jiwan! I love those two so much! I think it was wonderful how their feelings came together in understanding that they actually like each other more than friends!

- The music is SO SO SO good!! Like I love the OST more than the actual drama lmfao!!

- Recommend if you want a realistic feel of a drama!
