One of the best so far

After Alice in borderland and Cherry Magic I became an orphan of dramas with Keita Machida. I have accepted that the actor is one of my favorites and I want to watch more and more of his dramas. I looked around, and because of the synopsis and the ease of finding one to watch, I ended up choosing this drama.
Although I started the drama with Keita, I ended up loving the visuals and the development. I like dramas where we have one or more main characters who serve as a bridge for us to get to know other characters and their various stories. And that is what Three Star Bar in Nishi Ogikubo is like.
At the same time that the three main characters are developed, we get to know many of the customers and their concerns. While at the bar, they drink, eat, and let off steam thanks to the atmosphere. Something worth mentioning, this is the kind of place that I love very much and would easily visit if it existed in real life. Anyway, thanks to these customers and the problems they face we get to know the problems of the protagonists.
The episodes are fast paced and the characters are captivating, it's a drama that deserves a lot to be recommended. If you are looking for an interesting Japanese drama that will keep you entertained, Three Star Bar in Nishi Ogikubo is for you.

Yes, this Lakorn is EXTREMELY NECESSARY

Whether you like it or not, this Lakorn is extremely necessary for many people! He deals with problematic issues in order to expose and take revenge on the students, and let's say that YES it happens enough in real life and I understand that.
Our dear Nanno, like it or not is right in her attitudes and you cannot disagree because it is a fact!
There is no such thing as "she went too far" or "over the top", because people in real life do that or even worse.

If you haven't watched this Lakorn yet, I recommend watching it for you to see how the world is nowadays and also to see how much this Lakorn is EXTREMELY NECESSARY for you to watch it as soon as possible.

A Warm, Feel-Good Series about Home, Love, and Friendship

Two things that stuck out to me from the beginning of this show were the magnificent cinematography and the poetic dialogues/monologues. I think some of the commentators here simply do not know how read that deeply into the thoughts of characters and look into the philosophy of the screenwriting. This is not a series with smut and brainless humor; it has very delicate and precious messages about the concept of home and belonging. This, combined with the amazing camerawork made the show brilliant to watch. Not to mention the actors are all beautiful and whoever was in charge of costumes had a delightful taste. I also really liked the inclusion of a female supporting character that was neither villainized nor left out of the main story. She has her own character arc, her own story, and she isn’t there for comic relief or as a source of toxicity.

I think some viewers may have become lost due to the deepish nature of the dialogue and the somewhat heavy topics that are covered in this show. This show is a piece of artwork and thus is not for everyone; this does not detract from its beauty; it simply is its own unique series. Another positive thing to say about this show is that it takes place in a warm (fictional) world where gay love is completely normalized, which is very refreshing and feel-good, especially for queer kids watching. I am not saying that other series that accurately portray the trauma of coming out or living in a heteronormative world are not important, but I think that both of these types of storylines are important for us to have in the world, not just for us but for the next generation of gay youth.

The only negative thing I will say about this series is that it is short, and due to that, there is not as much time to develop characters and it can feel rushed at times (and let’s be honest, we all get a little sad when we see an episode is shorter that we expected haha).

PS: The OST is also great and I loved the opening sequence when it plays.

The most heartwarming story, not only for BL.

I don't even know where to start. The show just ended yesterday and me, like all the regular users in this page, are still in a mess. Do you know the feeling of having to let go, even when you don't want to? It's exactly like that. I'm feeling empty inside knowing that the drama has ended and we have to bid farewell to the characters. For me, this is definitely one of the best and most precious dramas that I've ever encountered. I'm not exaggerating when I said I highly doubt I will ever find a drama like this ever again, that made me so captivated, engrossed and did all the stuffs I've never done before for a drama and their actors. During each very short episode, depending on the plot, they never fail to make me laugh, smile, feeling all fluffy inside, tear up or heartbroken. But that's the magic of Cherry Magic has done to all of us all over the world. It has become an unexpected international hit, and it's the first Japanese BL drama that ever got this worldwide attention.

STORY
The long title might put off some people but the story is actually quite simple. 30 years old virgin salaryman, Adachi Kiyoshi, suddenly finds himself having the power to read the minds of people he touches on his 30th birthday. With this magic, he accidentally finds out that Kurosawa Yuichi, the most handsome and capable sales ace in his company, has a crush on him. What happens after that is their relationship development, which is both hilarious and emotional. What makes this drama special is its careful approach to portray human story, even though it is based on BL manga, it is very gentle and delicate in depicting the feelings and emotions, and eventually it is a story about relationship of two human beings, regardless of their sex. All the fans who have fallen in love with this drama can somehow relate themselves to the story, which what makes it resonate with fans all over the world.
It has the perfect balance of cute and sweet plot, but at the same time also there are also intense emotional plot that literally squeezed the audience's poor hearts.

ACTING
Fans have fallen in love with the two lead actors (Akaso Eiji and Machida Keita) not for nothing. Both of them are not big names in Japan and Akaso can be considered newbie in filming industry. But oh my, their acting and chemistry are top notch. Both are able to portray their characters perfectly, from body movement, subtle facial expressions, their speech, they almost make you believe they didn't act. Their on and off screen chemistry are undeniable, and it literally flowing out of screen. You will smile and laugh at their funny and sweet moments and will cry and hurt when they are sad. Their chemistry is so strong even simple scene like having fun in amusement park can make me smile and grin like an idiot, I sometimes questioned my sanity as an adult female lol.

MUSIC
I fell in love with their music, from the OP, ED and the BGM. I put the OP and ED on Spotify as soon as they came out and been listening to them until now. That's how good they are. In addition to that, the OP and ED are carefully written from the two lead characters' perspective, which adds more meaning to the songs. The BGM also excellent, they fit perfectly with their respective scenes and add more emotions to them.

REWATCH VALUE
If I can give 100 point to this, I would. I lost count already how many times I rewatched all episodes (which is short one, about 24 mins per episode). Everytime I would find a new detail, new subtle facial expressions, new little gesture that I didn't notice before. Everytime I would also still smile, laugh or feel sad when watching it. It is so worth it.

So for all those who is still deciding whether to watch it or not, don't hesitate to do so. I was also not very interested before, since I often find Japanese BL rather cringey (except Ossan's Love), but I tried to watch Ep 1 and the rest was history. So, please don't miss out this rare gem and I'm sure you would fall head over heels with this little drama!

Different from the first season (even with the exchange of actors, that this is zero news coming from Melon)
This one had the developments of secondary couples and it was like a "remake" of the first, only more succeeded.
This time the character Bas was a little better along with Phana who was also better.
Secondary characters very well developed (different from the first)
The music literally sticks to the head and it's very hot to hear it while studying or doing something else

SPOILER:
+ Open finale for a third season (which has already been confirmed, but with the exchange of actors again).

First Impressions

The Japanese productions of BL is increasingly conquering a space and gaining audience, especially for the quality doramas that are coming out and with "Old Fashioned Cupcake" could not be different, the drama is already a success in a few days of premiere even with few episodes, mainly by bringing us a light story, which can touch on important issues, without losing the enjoyable essence that the plot gives us.

The story focuses on a mature and healthy romance, which develops little by little, showing us that there is no barrier to love, either in terms of age or sexuality.

The photography also calls a lot of attention, because all the scenes bring a touch of delicacy, providing an absurd chemistry between the characters.

The whole storyline is gripping and very well done, it is worth following the development of Nozue and Togawa's romance and falling in love with both of them. The light, mature and unique story managed to stand out among the numerous releases we've had this year.

Must-watch for Brotherhood, Family, Thriller and Mystery Lovers

If you love bromance, brothers, family dramas and are up for top-notch storytelling and mystery WATCH THIS 1000%! This is an absolute masterpiece and one of the best dramas I have ever watched with such elaborate character developments. WHAT A SHOW WOW JUST WOW! I usually watch kdramas only and had never watched a Thai drama. This was my first and it was GOLD! CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW FREAKIN AMAZING THIS DRAMA IS. I was not expecting it to be this good I am very very impressed <3 I'M VERY PICKY WITH MY DRAMAS so I'm so surprised that I've loved it this much everything about it has been absolutely flawless to me. And don't even get me started by the acting!!! The acting by every single person is just amazing every single one of them! I was shocked till the last scene at how good all the actors were!

This drama deals with various important issues such as sexism, favoritism and more and criticizes unjust traditions that may even still exist to this day. These issues are, however, portrayed extremely beautifully and meticulously and the actors and actresses all do a phenomenal job at depicting it. The themes of family and brotherhood are masterfully portrayed as well. I was absolutely in love with the relationship between the 4 brothers of the sister's family. Their bond was so beautiful it was everything <3 The brotherhood between Pete and Yi was also one of my absolute favs <3 The sibling and cousin relationships were just so beautifully portrayed by all the actors and the dialogues were sincere and moving it made me miss my own family :,)

I personally fell in love with every single character and they were all main leads to me. Each character is flawed so you will hate them at some point and love them the next. They are all human and so this drama will feel like the most real roller coaster ride. It keeps you on your toes, it is extremely entertaining and heartfelt!
I would honestly recommend everyone to watch it. Give this gem a try for sure you will not regret it trust me :)

Yes, this version is better than the original and YES A FACT!

No doubt this version is BETTER than the Korean one! Touching actors (Saint Suppapong, Orn Patchanan and Junior Kornrawich), story that holds you from beginning to end, one of the best drama ots ever!
Let's also say that the ghosts are WAY BETTER than the original version (which I didn't like in the Korean version), many things in the Korean version that I didn't like so much were not in this version which made me love it even more!

Summing up everything I said:
- The drama is INCREDIBLE! If you haven't seen it because you don't like Lakorns, I think you'd better review what you're saying, because whether you like it or not, Thailand can do better than South Korea, that's a fact.
This YES version is better than the original and if you don't think so, I think you should review everything again and watch MANY more lakorns and leave aside the boring K-Dramas like the original version.

A Perfect 10 Across the Board

Well, this is a pretty dark story about our unique, pandemic times but Ali and Alec (as Key and Chen) put out enough heat on screen to kill any virus. But before I get into the main event, Boys Love story, Teetin Villanueva who plays Chen's sister, gives a monologue characterizing her meltdown about the pandemic that's worthy of a major acting award. It's a feeling I'm sure everyone in the audience -- of any age -- will relate to. "Boys' Lockdown" sets a high bar for BL dramas. The six episodes use most of their time wisely on our main and secondary characters. There's a bit of padding with a few extraneous characters but never to the extent we're used to in the 24 and 36 part epics. The leads have the looks and personalities you almost want to savor in slow motion. The script is tight, relevant and totally believable. Perhaps the most surprising thing here is what _isn't_ here -- "Boys' Lockdown" seems to exist in an alternate universe devoid of gay stereotypes. Heterosexuality is still the default as Chen asks Key if he has a girlfriend, but Key's reply of "No" transitions seamlessly to Chen asking, "Do you have a boyfriend?" without missing a beat. With the COVID Pandemic providing the dramatic engine to drive the drama, "Boys' Lockdown" doesn't have to force unsavory cliches on our main characters, like sexual violence or some other kind of emotional dysfunction. These are just two guys who are crushing on each other and trying to solve the dilemma of getting together when there's a deadly virus loose in the world. It could have had a tragic ending, but the writer delivers what the audience really wants.

Just finished binge watching on Netflix. I realised after episode 1 that it was using a lot of the kids from the Hormones Series. I was pleasantly surprised at how suspenseful some of the episodes were, although I was able to work out the 'secret' behind most of the episodes before the end. The only episode I didn't enjoy was ep 11, with Craig Claudine, the Thai/American actress. I found her acting quite wooden - I didn't like her in Hormones either, and although the story was okay, the ending wasn't able to save the episode from the boredom of her acting. I was so surprised to find that episode 13 was actually a protracted version of the film The Blue Hour, which starred Gun and Oab. All the stories were quite good; the acting wasn't bad for the most part and the music was creepy or suspenseful when it needed to be. The only thing that confused me was the inclusion of The Blue Hour episode. I can't work out why an independent film, albeit a shortened version, would be included in a TV series. All in all I enjoyed the series and I probably will watch it again.

When I began watching this drama, I had gone in with reading only the synopsis (The old one, I changed it after I watched the drama)
Well, the main character, Bas was very sweet ass and it got in the way of the drama a little bit. the pair of it Phana was not one of the best characters in the drama, although she was only clowning with Bas.
The story itself was not very good, did not focus on the secondary couples (which it takes to be a good BL drama) besides taking a long time to unwind the main couple and the secondary that did not even unfold was.

SPOILER:
+ A happy ending. However, there were no developments in the other couples
