If you’re looking for any kind of romance, this is not the drama for you. If you’re looking for suspense, edge of your seat exciting drama, this is also not for you. But, if your looking for a sweet heartfelt drama with family love, friendship, warmth, sadness, happiness, with a sprinkle of revenge and a plot twist, this drama is for you. The casting and writing were perfect, especially the ML (he is gorgeous by the way), and the senior ML that plays the student of ballet. But the best thing by far, is the ending. This is because all of the plot line is summed up, leaving nothing for you to wonder, what happened to this or that character. If there is one thing that irks me after completing several episodes of a drama to the end, is when it just leaves you kind of hanging. Leaving you to wonder how this couple or character ended up. This drama doesn’t leave you with that feeling, because it clearly explains the future of each character. This is a sweet 12 episode drama that I highly recommend, but have some tissues...

This drama had everything… love, family conflicts, tragedy, family love, betrayal, protests, it was lighthearted, serious, and at times violent. It kept my interest every episode, from beginning to end. I didn’t know what to expect when I decided to watch it, but it definitely surprised me. The beginning was kind of light hearted, but the last part was very serious and disturbing. The ending was kind of what I was expecting, but it was good, and didn’t leave you hanging. I was sobbing during the last episode. The end can kind of make or break a drama, but this tied up all loose ends. This is something I will watch again. I want to also mention that the actors/actresses were excellent in their roles.

Tissues

Be in the right mood to watch this drama, it’s a sad one. As I was watching it, I realized it was a different storyline than what I thought it was going to be. Halfway through, I knew it was going to be more than just a breakup with a sad ending. As you watch it, you will realize that it could only end one way. I knew it was going to be a love story, but I didn’t quite expect the plot to turn suddenly into a break up for the reason that it did. It had happy times in the beginning, but mid point turned really sad. It is definitely worth the watch, but be in the right mood, it’s a downer.

Slow Paced Romantic Drama, But Definitely Worth Watching

I really enjoyed this drama, and especially the Male Lead. It was sometime frustrating to watch how the Female Lead treated him. Maybe it’s just me and my attitude, but I would have told her to F*** off many times, and would have probably never seen her again. I definitely wouldn’t have given her a second chance after she left, and decided to just have a long distance relationship for five years, and it was OK with her. But, he really was deeply in love with her, and was willing to tolerate just about anything, never falling out of love with her. Their relationship had a great ending.

I especially liked the 3 other couples, and their side/love stories. Those rounded out the whole drama, and made it interesting. All of the relationships ended how they should have, to make the story complete. Sad for the Male Lead’s sister and her doctor husband, but even sadder for their daughter. I kind of wish they would have decided to stay together, but I understand why they couldn’t. The other sister of the Male Lead had a happy ending though. Then there was the third couple that were just never meant to be together in the first place. But their storyline was really good. In the end, the woman was stronger from the experience, and was more successful and independent than she would have been if they did end up getting married.

All in all, I though it was a great Drama definitely worth watching. It kind of left me feeling good about how it ended. What I really liked about the ending, was it didn’t leave anything just “hanging.” We’ve all watched those frustrating dramas that left us feeling.... “Why did the writers leave us wondering where the relationships went after the Drama was over?”... Then, you have to sit there and imagine how you think it should have ended. This one doesn’t do that, all relationships were ended and explained. No imagination needed... Good from beginning to end!

Good movie, great acting, but it hit too close to home for me. Literally anyone, and that’s pretty much everyone that has been in a serious relationship of any kind that ends, will totally relate to this. Sometime, no matter how hard you try, you just can’t keep that magic. Like any other new relationship at first, it’s exciting, interesting, fun getting to know each other, it has that “feel good” new feeling. After a while, you can’t picture yourself without that other person. Then it starts to feel repetitive , nothing new anymore, and at times boring, the magic gone. Even the desire for intimacy disappears. It’s time to call it quits. That is this movie in a nut shell. It just didn’t feel good after a while as I watched it. BUT, it was good if you can keep your own past relationships and memories at bay. I just couldn’t.

Heart Wrenching

I’ve only watched a few episodes, but I cried off and on through all of them. If you’ve ever had someone you love die, and had them in Hospice, you can’t not cry. Dying means looking back on your life, the mistakes you’ve made, the happiness you’ve felt, the relationships you formed, the things you regret, and the things you had yet to do, but won’t have the chance. The loved ones and friends you leave behind is the hardest thing. I often look at my adult children, and know what it is like to lose a parent. Having to go through their things after their deaths, as you grieve and remember everything looking through their memories. This drama reminds you to live life to the fullest while you can, try not to have regrets, and realize life is short. I’m in my later years, and constantly look back on my past, knowing I don’t have many years left. This drama really hits home for me. It is VERY sad, with a few light moments, great plot and great acting. I will continue to the end crying the whole way, unless the story changes suddenly. Definitely worth the watch.

EDIT: So, the drama has changed direction a bit as I watched more episodes. Less about Hospice, and a bit more about character development. I’m not saying it’s a bad direction, just different than earlier episodes. I’ll continue watching and see what develops… my score may drop a bit. Still a good watch though.

COMPLETED/LAST EDIT: My score went from a 10 to an 8.5 by the end. Don’t get me wrong, it was still good, It just changed direction mid way, not in a bad way, just not the way I would have liked. I would still recommend it though. I don’t want to give the story away, but it looks like they could definitely do a season 2 with how it ended.

Very serious drama

It kept my interest all through it. I loved the story, loved the acting, especially Kim Jae Young. He is such a good actor, and also nice to look at. Jung Hee Joo kind of got on my nerves with the same blank expression and fake smile, but that was her character. If you don’t like slow moving dramas, infidelity, revenge, rage, or obsession, you won’t like this, don’t bother. That’s virtually the entire drama, but is was done well. I liked the ending, but it was a shame, because nothing was accomplished with any of their lives. There is a million different ways it could have ended, but one thing is for sure, none would have been happy. With this kind of drama, with this story line, there is no way it could have ended happy, with any of the characters. As I watched it, I disliked all of them, but that was how the story was written. Every one of them was out for revenge, but in the end, did they all get it? You’ll have to watch to find out…

The main plot in this drama, is about Tian, from a wealthy family, trying to find where he belongs in life. He is given that awakening from a very dramatic tragedy. I thought the plot was excellent and well thought out. The acting between the two male leads were good, as was the rest of the cast. A few silly unnecessary parts, but that’s what you get with dramas. Tian was a very believable actor, especially when he looked at Phupha with adoring puppy dog eyes. The drama wasn’t perfect, but it kept my interest. It seemed more like a bromance through most of the movie, rather than the intended BL theme. If you are looking for a lot of physical contact between the male leads, you won’t find it here. One short kiss at the end, some hugging and hand holding, but that’s it. But, the drama really didn’t need it to be good, because the story was good. For me, in any love story, whether it’s BL or not though, I would have liked more on screen affection with the actors.

Very Drawn Out And Boring

I read the reviews and expected a lot more out of it than I got. Not much happened except a lot of eating (constantly), idle chatter, and band practicing, oh, and did I mention eating? I’ve watched much better dramas with lower ratings than this one. One thing I will say, is the cast and acting were fantastic, as was the occasional humor. Not a whole lot of intense romance, just lightly touched on it. I know that the people who gave it 10s probably think I’m crazy, and I have bad taste, but honestly, I found it very boring. A 90 minute running time works fine for a lot of dramas, but it didn’t work for this, since the episodes felt like they dragged on forever. I guess I am just not a “slice of life” kind of girl. I need more of a plot heavy drama to stay interested. This wasn’t that!

I think this movie was well acted. It highlights how the ML is “different” from everyone else, and how his fellow classmates kept their distance. You can almost feel the pain the ML experiences when he is shunned because of not being able to hear clearly. Then a ray of sunshine appears in his life. This “ray” doesn’t care about the ML’s disability, and only sees people as equals, no matter who they are. This starts a close relationship between the two. This is a very touching movie about a hearing disability, and how society reacts to it. Too much sympathy makes the ML feel weak, and too little sympathy makes him feel left out.

Very Touching And Emotional

This drama really touched my ❤️. It goes in depth what it must be like to be gay, but be afraid to come out. How he struggled with is sexual identity, and how society rejects someone when they are “different”. The story shared emotions that he went through, and how he tries to “conform “ to what he and everyone around him thinks he should be like. I thought the acting was really good, as was the awesome Queen music played throughout the Drama. Not a lot of skinship, but it gets the point across. I would highly recommend this drama, but gather some tissues.

Good ending, but overall boring.

Another drama with high ratings, but I just can’t figure out why. I guess it must be me… kind of like how I found Hospital Playlist and Decedents Of The Sun, again both highly rated, but I found them boring too. I fast forwarded through almost every episode except 1 and 16. I couldn’t wait to finish. I thought it dragged on and on, repeating the same scenario over and over. I think the acting was good, and the basic idea of the story was good, but 16 episodes was way too long. It should have been made into a 2 hour movie instead. I probably should have dropped it, but I suffered through it. If you like very slow paced dramas, with a simple plot, that repeats things over and over, you’ll like this. The ML Choi Woong’s character, was unemotional through most of it, except for a few scenes, and the FL was very annoyingly arrogant. I gave it a 7, because like I said, the plot was good, and the acting was ok, but it was just too long for what the writers wanted to tell. Could have made the story half as long, if not less.

Tissues Needed At The End

I knew going in that this would be sad, and I was right. The last 2 episodes were especially sad. The story takes place in a Hospice, so you should know what to expect from that. It is especially hard to watch when you’ve had someone close to you die. It kind of brings back those feelings, of what it feels like when they are just a memory. The plot and acting were excellent, with a good sprinkle of revenge thrown in. Basic story was about 2 lost souls that found each other and fell in love. This changed them in ways that they didn’t expect. It had a lot of unexpected twists to it, and a good mixture of friendship, uplifting events, sad events, love, revenge, murder, family devotion, family regret, etc. It had pretty much everything. If you don’t like sad heart wrenching dramas, don’t watch it. There are plenty of others to choose from.

What??

This was a solid 10, until the last half of the last episode. WTF was the writer thinking. It turned what could have been a 10/10, to for me an 8/10. I looked forward and enjoyed every single episode, except the end ruined it. This could have been one of the best dramas I’ve watched, but not. Why do writers think that a drama will be better with a sad ending? Every character in this had a happy ending, except the main characters. Think about how much better this would have been if they showed them getting married. I even thought that Kim Min Chae might end up being their daughter. Wouldn’t it have improved it 100%? I thought until right up to the end, that they would end up together. Although the acting and plot were good, it was a big disappointment…

OMG! I’m crying my eyes out!

Why am I doing this to myself? A drama about people dying, so fifteen minutes into the first episode of this drama, and I’m already sobbing. This grabbed me within the first five minutes. With most dramas, I have to watch at least three episodes to get interested, but not with this one. It is a very touching, emotional, extremely well acted drama, and I hope it continues being this good.I can tell from now, I will be binge watching this one. I will now commence binging the rest of this, and update my review when I’m done. Hopefully this rating will stay a ten. So... let the binging begin...!

On episode six, and it is still a 10!

Just finished this, and I am sitting here crying. Every single episode was good, well acted, well written, emotional, everything... it had it all. I will watch it again, I’m sure several times. Judging by how it ended, I believe there will (hopefully), be a second season. There could be so much more to tell. This drama especially hits you hard if you’ve experienced the death of a loved one. Those emotions hit so close to home when you watch each episode, how the person died, how the family reacts, and the experience of discovering the deceased life, through cleaning out their belongings. One episode was particularly heart wrenching about a young man that searched for his mother his whole life. All I can say is, this is a must watch drama, that will affect you for a while after your are done.
