It was okay, not a superb series like I expected.

So, I thought the premise was super amazing and it was something I (and others) wanted to see: a Korean period drama with gay romance. I was hoping for the same quality as Where Your Eyes Linger and To My Star, but it just doesn't seem to reach those stars (no pun intended). Perhaps it was just the execution which made it fall through.

First of all, the romance just seemed so forced. Not exactly sure why, but it just did not seem as genuine - it didn't really help that there were all these tropes of cross-dressing and everything. Also the SLS seemed forced and as if the writer was trying to push it down our throats.

Also on another note, it was way too clear that it was her brother and not Hwajin herself. It's so obvious from the voice and the facial structure. They kept it like that to advance the plot, but it just turned me off - it's just not believable.

Acting was okay, some of it was great and other parts were slightly bland.

I will say I kind of liked the kiss at the end even though it was the typical flat kiss. It's sort of cute though.

Overall I probably wouldn't rewatch to be honest, it's kind of boring to me and I fail to see the charm in it. The poster had me all excited but the actual drama seemed to not live up to the expectations. It's definitely not crappy though for how long each episode is. I just wouldn't watch this when I can watch other shows.

Wild, but lots of fun and laughter.

I quite liked this show. It was short but sweet - the main premise, the kkondae vs the younger employee was a good story arc that became developed as the show progressed.

I absolutely adored the romance between the quiet intern and the stern contract worker (played by Park Ah In). It developed rather slowly but each step of the way it was sweet. And I was TENSE when they almost broke up... gah I hate that trope. I think that part of it for me was the best/memorable parts of the show. BTW Park Ah In's outfits were so nice, she looked like Park Minyoung in Secretary Kim lol. As for the main romance, I didn't care too much. It was kind of boring (but when she rejected him because he was a "kkondae"... lol!)

I think this deserves a rewatch if you're feeling bored one day and want something lighthearted mostly. I say mostly because the first episode did NOT turn out to be what I expected from the promotional poster - it was kind of dark in the first half. Apart from that, I think it was a lovely and cute show.

I need me more of that second lead couple.
