Best xianxia I've watch so far

Didn't expect anything from this one since the leads aren't that popular and I have a little bad Impression of Dylan at acting but I was so shocked with the quality. From stunning visuals, effects, costume, character depth, it was so good. Acting is also not bad. I just want more brother scenes with dongfang and his brother plus more scenes with the two long lost sisters and Yu Shuxin being DongFang.. Not a fan of cute childiah character so it took me a while to love the drama.
Ending felt quite rushed but it's okay.

Ost was super super super good. I keep replaying Farewell Love.

Ho ho. It was good

I just watch this one because I'm curious of Xing Fei. This is my first time watching her and honestly, I felt she did quite well especially those emotional scenes.

For the cast, most commendable character is Mu Ze. He is so perfect as Mu Ze because he has the charm and at the same time, he has an unpredictable, weird personality that made me want to watch. Im looking forward to what he'll do next. I also love Lu Anran. Although time travel or second chance concept isn't new, it was well written here.

Characters are not too dumb. Yes, fl has future knowledge advantage but it didn't undermine the villain's IQ. Even those harem issues are nicely written, I didn't feel that they only exist to infatuate to ml. They're using brains to devise schemes to get Mu Ze's attention. The story also didn't dwell too long there.

It was a satisfying watch. A little bit underrated drama.

Sorry. Not my cup of tea. Really.

Idk but I find this very overrated. I think its because Yang2x and Lusi are famous that's why this became a hit. Otherwise its ...

1. Ok so here are reasons why I dropped it.
Lusi is pretty good at comedy. I also love her as princess Leyan but not here. I just can't vibe with her character. Like acting is okay but she doesn't have the "aura" I'm looking for in a strong badass FL. Some examples of FL with this so-called aura is YangMi, Li Qin, Zhao LiYing. Dilireba and Rachel Wang is also not bad. I hope you get what I mean.

2. Fight scenes are not engaging. They're just edited with no physical combat. Sword snow even did better even if it has also minimal physical combat. It would be better if the fight scenes where somewhere like Heroes or better if similar to Princess Agents.

3. The cloth swishing is so weirdd. Yeah this is a petty reason but it really bothers me.

4. Lusi's ponytail too high. But still pretty.

Nevertheless I still love it's OSTs and Posters. I also love YangYang. I love Lusi too but not here. Sorry.

Not your usual costume drama

Bruh I thought it was just a lovey dovey love story. Thankfully I still continue to watch. Plot gets interesting at the middle. Also the love triangle of FL's dad is not the typical annoying third wheel. She's cool and not sticky.
Characters are logical in their decisions at the start. Logic starts to lose towards the middle end but was able to recover towards the last few eps. Most of them are not stupid and has serious thing to do. (Not a character that only seeks love or flowervase)

Their cast are new to me. So far they all did well especially Yin Zhuang. She may be boring but she has the charisma of an aristocrat. Love her. She's actually my fave. Ahahah
King of Suchuan becomes useless as the story progress. Bruh.

Obviously, they spent more money on CGI and set? Btw the CGI is very nice. Love itt.

I hoped they made their OST and poster or whatever look more serious. They made it seems like the drama is just another typical fantasy romance drama or light hearted drama.

Some spoiler:
Im currently watching ep 25 and I was shocked with the plot that involves human experiment. Didn't see that coming because it was all laughter and romance in the first few episodes.

I n short, I love the overall plot. (I forgave some stupid decisions because I really want to know how to resolve everything)(All lose knots are resolved)(The story makes sense in a way that despite the main leads are powerful, there are things they can't change like death of people) I also love the CGI. I hate the bgm and posters.

Very nice movie. Masterpiece

I dont understand why the rating is so low.. Like I swear I had low expectations because of the low rating. But nah, this one is definitely a gem. Worth watching. Only less than 2 hours.

Ok so I watched this on YouTube without sub so I was confused with who is Zhao and Han.
The story is basically focused on the brotherhood of the imperial guards and where their loyalty lies. It's a sad story actually. They all treasure their brotherhood but because they're in politics, they tend to betray the brotherhood.

Plot
The story started with a death case of an official and his whole family. Let's assume he is an important official that's why the imperial guards are sent to investigate. Throughout the story, one will realize that the case is not that simple because it involves the higher up like Han and Zhao and the emperor. It is also through this that the brotherhood of the imperial guards are tested.

I suggest you watch it because it's really nice. Nothing about candy love story. Bruh grew tired of it hehee.

Cast are new to me. Except the one who portrayed gu bu fan. So far they did well. Thanks to the plot.

A little more than so-so drama, started promising

I have to be honest I probably set an unusually high expectations with this drama. It started promising but there are a number of things I don't like about this drama. Before that, let me enumerate some good things about the drama that made me want to finish it.
Pros for me:
1. Setting. I love the details of the set especially in the place where they wish on flower festival.
2. Not the usual love triangle story. The third party is not annoying (prince)
3. All of the characters have serious thing to do. Im getting tired of watching arrange or forced marriage dramas so this is sort of fresh air.
4. I love how characters cooperate with each other.
5. I want to see how they'll do their task

Cons:
1. Nasheng is cute to look at but too chatty. She is cheerful by nature but too annoying in the first few episodes.
2. I don't feel the chemistry of the leads towards the end. I keep skipping their scenes. Their interaction is boring.
3. I was expecting a cold, ruthless Ml. And here they give us the typical "perfect" guy.
4. Fl becomes damsel in distress. I hate it. Hahaha. Also idk but yukee chen is boring in this drama.
5. ML was too strong. Remember he is practicing art of mirror or iirc separation because its already at the progressive stage. But then, after he suffers backlash, he will just get healed by the diviner then use power again. Illogical. I normally forgive this kind of plothole but it's repetitive. (Except the end ofc)
6. Ending is messy. On one scene he is alive then later he disappears. And then again he is there. (I think they shuffled the order of the scenes?) Why dont they just make him disappear on point?

Very nice drama. Little to no nonsense

I didn't regret watching this even if it meant backlogs for me cause the story is interesting. Didn't expect to actually appreciate this drama even if the setting is mostly revolving around police station and bus stop. It just proves to us that a drama doesn't need veteran artists or grand settings, props etc for it to be good. I believe they didn't spend much on this drama.
For the acting, everyone did well.
For the ost, idk but having a English ost on a Chinese drama is very weird. I mean, it's good as ending or beginning song but weird as bgm. Ahhaha.
I also like how they include side stories of the passengers without overdoing it.
Characters are realistic and most of the time logical.
No love triangle or whatnot

Very nicee. Underrated for me

Hii just finished watching Sleuth of Ming Dynasty and all I can say is it is perfect!! Love this trio.
I only have some problems near the ending cause Tang Fan made mistakes (Bolang got discovered bec of this)(also why didn't he shout when BoLang is being stolen like wtfff) but ofc it's normal as a human. Forgivable. Its just very annoying haha. But he was able to make up for the mistakes. Also, Tang Fan has this annoying personality cause he easily gets emotional and immature but that's Tang Fan. Like that's his character so I turned a blind eye to that
To add, the first few eps is a bit off for me. Like idk what they're doing but trust me, it's a masterpiece.
They said it's a BL drama but for me, it's only bromance. Like not even close to untamed flirting hahaha.
Little to no nonsense.
Loyalty and friendship ❤️❤️
No love triangle and cliche elements
Not focus on romance

My fave character is Wang Zhi.

Plot similar to: Ancient Detective, Imperial
Coroner.

**Pls suggest other dramas like this too huhu.
Im gonna miss them.** I need a new drama to move on hahaha. Sorry. Got attached to them.

Very sad drama.

When I said its a sad drama, its literally a sad drama. No one ended well. Ofc the saddest arc is the main leads. I really cried a lot.
Anyways moving on, in terms of the story, there were a few number of illogical stuffs in the story especially towards the end but all in all, I love it because
1. They resolve some issues or cases first. I never get tired of this because I find that it's the best way to build the relationship of the leads
2. Iirc they can easily solve misunderstanding. Like they won't take 5 eps just for that misunderstanding that it becomes annoying.
2. Love is very pure. Different types of love can be seen throughout e.g. selfish love, selfless love, silent love chuchu
I also like sad dramas (but not watch consecutively) because they have more impact.
For the female lead, idk but her face looks weird. Like she's pretty nmn but the face shape looks wrong. Acting not as good as ML.

Just advice if you don't like sad dramas, dont watch it.

Very nice but not the wuxia drama one will expect

One reason why this show got criticisms despite it's marvelous plot is that they promote this to be a drama with lots of martial arts. I mean, people have different likes. There are people whose only after the fight scenes. So when they watch this, they're like -wtf little to no fight scenes. The martial artist just stands there then boogsh. Its focused more on the political stuffs and schemes. Safe to say more similar to Nirvana in Fire than Word of Honor. You get what I mean haha.

Well for me, I give importance to plot. The fight scenes just adds color. This made me love this series so much. There are also a bit of humour.

What I don't like though is the acting of Jiang Ni. Very weird especially in the first episode. Like she's forced to be funny but it's not. She's okay at the later episode though.

Not my cup of tea

Sorry if I didn't like this drama. Umm it started out well. Like the female and male lead is intelligent and they solve cases then they made two friends. All is well until I find the Female lead too troublesome and the male lead always sacrificing or saving the FL. She isn't the strong, intelligent, independent woman she is supposed to be (they introduce her like that). Also too draggy on the romance part of the leads. Their story is boring. Fl is also irrational sometimes and oa. It is not the Maiden Holmes I exepcted.

I can't continue watching it.
Thats just my point of view though. If you're not picky, I can say this drama isn't bad at all

Its so nice. Deserve at least 8 stars in overall rating

"Review of SEASON 1

Before watching, I have to tell you that the male lead isn't the typical very handsome man with jadelike skin. Dont set high expectations with regards to beauty of the characters (except water god. She is pretty haha) But still, I think its unfair to call the male lead ugly.
Despite the not typical pretty characters, the story is very nice and decent with unpredictable plot twist
(SPOILER ALERT e.g. one of domain god is son of tianheng,)
There was little to no illogical plot. The story got me hooked. Idk why this drama got critical reviews. I love the uniqueness of this drama!
Notes:
1. There were love triangles in the story too but they are not really focused there. (Daughter of general Pei has few screen time. Tolerable)
2. Some might complain that the ML likes to distance himself from female lead.
3. The female lead is not really a damsel in distress for me. She is not totally useless in fights though she gets hurt. Even male lead can get hurt too. This is actually one thing I like about the drama. They've not always strong cause that's more real.

Not bad.

Yeah really not bad. Like the story is decent but it didn't give me a wow factor. Maybe I am just too used to watching dramas lol. Ost is almost non existent so i dont know. For the acting, they did well. I think they're newbies sonce never encountered them? Or maybe not popular ones.
All in all it is a nice leisure if you have one hour plus to waste hahah
The story started with Emei peeps having an epidemic. Most of the time they can manage it but this time it was worse so they invited a male doctor. Take note Emei is exclusively for female disciples so they're really desperate. The leader too was infected I think so she went close door cultivation. Then one time there was this male disciple from another sect who was bitten by a poisonous snake and need help. This male disciple was helped because Emei is indebted to his sect. This so called victim is the villain. He caused ruckus to get the martial arts. To achieve his goal, he made use of the fact that the seven lead disciples are scrambling to get the position of Acting Master.

Im sorry. Worst drama

Dont hate me if you liked this story ok..
The drama started out nice and decent but plsss very very draggy. Actually it was my mom who finished it to the end. I just want to take note that the FL is too stupid. Like i understand there were innocent peeps in real life but its very annoying when played in drama. Safe to say like dora who needs someone to guide her bruhh.
Also the ending?? Wtf after all that happened she just chose to be single? Whats the point of everything?
Imho, this is not reccomended. Sorry

It is actually very nice. Not what I expected from the reviews.

Eyyy just wanna recommend "No Boundary". I wonder why the dramalist review said that the story is messy. Like I delayed watching this because of the reviews. It is really really really nice
* FL and ML is strong. No females are damsel in distress (sorry i dont like this trope especially for the leads)
* the story started with solving cases which is engaging.
* Minimal draggy scenes. Forgivable.
* The plot is really really nice as a whole 💓💓. Though it has illogical storyline and loopholes.
*Some characters are complex.
I was only confuse with Wengu's character at the middle of watching and he is the weirdest one. Like his decision and way of thinking just doesn't makes sense at the middle eps. Maybe bec he is a demon and he thinks differently?
But the write ups isn't as bad as the ratings. For me.

Also the FL isn't familiar/popular but she did justice to the role. She is badass and amazing 😍 The actress for Hongluan btw is from Ashes of love. But in this drama, she is good. I even cried for her.
