At the time of reading this, all viewers (11) have given this episode 10/10. And it’s almost impossible to not see it as 10/10. This was such a beautiful episode. Their dependency on each other in their relationship is absolutely impeccable.Mudeok admits her love for Jang Uk, and likewise Jang Uk does too. I love how they weren’t in denial about it at all, showing their forged bonds.I also particularly love seeing how whipped Yul is for Mudeok (Naksu), it’s so cute seeing how he goes against his own principles of constantly being right for his childhood crush, and even teases her to buy the most expensive umbrella for him. Yul even goes the extra mile to defend his own buddy, Uk when people were teasing him for having to complete a task that takes a year (which was later outdone by Uk, seeing how intelligent and capable he is).There were so many cute scenes, with some injection of humour into the plot too. For instance, Maidservant Kim being so dramatic in this scene made this episode even better than it already was. I was exhausted from a long day’s of work, but seeing that very scene made me want to watch even more!I also liked seeing how Mudeok being Jang Uk’s maid, and in the process learning skills like cooking, and persevering throughout, had all come to her passing the test. I love the fact that she pressed on and it was touching that she would even go to such an extent for Jang Uk, signifying her deep-rooted feelings for him too. Last of all, amazing chemistry at the end. Overall, a beautiful episode that definitely deserves its 10/10.

This was quite an episode to take in because of the acting. When the dog left, the dog teared. And i was absolutely bewildered. The editing team really took in effort to display the dog’s emotions very explicitly, and I applaud them for it. It made the episode rather believable, that even animals are not sparred from their sorrow—and that we should treat them equally; as they have a right to live, be respected and treated properly.However, it is confusing how the owner got to afterlife with white hair, contrasted with the army veteran with black hair, and in his younger days in the afterlife returning. It makes me wonder about the consistency of the plot. But that’s not a huge portion to deduct for.Here’s my rant on one of the reviews for this episode. You may skip this if all you’re looking for is the review aforementioned.I quote a review “But now we have a suicidal DOG! I mean, WTF? And at the end we discover that the dog can be reborn as a person! WHAT?!?!? So if animals can be reborn as people, why do we need a special team from Heaven to save people (there is police, suicide helplines, shrinks etc.)? This episode was FULL of this type of continuity errors! Is it too much to ask for some logic even within a fantasy…a dog and giving him a complex HUMAN reasoning (I am going to kill myself because I am a burden to my owner.)is too much, even for fantasy!” ??????????? the rebirth of the dog was 50 years after, and the review did not make sense at all. The special team is sent to balance the suicide cases (since it is certain that people who commit suicide -> crime -> hell). I can’t believe someone would make a review like that and I urge people to do proper reviews factoring all portions of the episode that were good, and those that were bad (if any). This review shows me the person regards dogs as unimportant when compared to humans, which was DEFINITELY not the message the episode was trying to convey. Furthermore, this reviewer is asking the dog & other suicidal people to call suicide helplines to solve their trouble. What? That just does not make any sense to me. If one is suicidal, seeking help is already a painstaking task to do, since it can be embarrassing and they can feel alone. The concept of a team from Heaven is to ensure these people know what they’re living for. To ensure they don’t go to hell. Honestly just wanted to make it clear that such reviews completely destroy the ratings of the drama, which are especially important in showing whether a drama is good or bad. Involving their personal feelings is redundant.

If i could give this episode 11/10, I would. This episode has a delicate balance between respect and grief. The character mentality of the veteran is explicit—one where he learns to appreciate his decisions made. Overall, this episode was the most impactful. Acting was fine and storyline was precise, nothing flowery about it. It is heartwarming to finally be able to comprehend the complexities of making such an integral decision (to serve the country). This episode accurately depicts this harsh truth, and is an episode that was detailed and thorough. Job well done.My only negative takeaway about this episode was when the soldier meets his mom, and he appears to be in his 20s again. Sure, that’s great, but it begs the question of what age one will look like in the afterlife, will everyone be presented with the best looks they have? This portion needs slight exploration for the drama to be a ton more believable.

(SPOILER ALERT)Wow, wow, wow. I have to say, this episode was tons better than Episode 3, we get to see HJW finally opening up! He is expressive, initiates a kiss to KSJ and even tags along the entire journey of finding Han Yoo Ha (honestly i forgot her name just the intelligent girl who ran from home). What a sweet surprise it was! However, I would also like to critique on the believability— why would a HJW who so desperately wants to avoid his ex, even being cold to him, suddenly want to tag along with KSJ to find the lost girl like huh? Furthermore, the acting is a solid 10 for me this episode, if i were to be stricter 9.5. You can see the way HJW was so shy when he was unsure whether to initiate the kiss. He hesitated, and then pushed his heart for it. I think its remarkable how he was able to convey that just through facial expressions. Incredible. Everything felt genuine, even to the child actor, which absolutely stunned me with her incredible and believable acting. Good episode for me! My worries are lifted and I can’t wait to see how the drama explains their distance for a year :)Edit: *YOU CAN HEAR THE KISSING NOISES. Yum yum yum. All for the two of them ~

According to MyDramaList ratings, I’m not sure why (at the time of writing) this episode is at 9.4. I would give it a 10.This episode kept me glued from start to end, with intense acting and appropriate use of OST at multiple instances. Furthermore, it gave me so much goosebumps to see how attached Soo Jae immediately got to Jae Yi, after knowing she is her biological mother. It shows deeply a mother’s love, one where Soo Jae would go to the extent of going to the operating room itself, which is unauthorised area. This shows the deep-rooted love she has for her baby she has just found out about. What a plot!Moreover, the scriptwriting was fantastic. Everything had a logical flow/link to it, and I can’t seem to find a better way to express how good this episode is. Words cannot describe the in-depth complexity of the episode, and how true the characters portrayed their roles.Choi Tae Guk, may be a rude and condescending person with malicious intent. At the very end, we also see how emotionally devastated he is once he finds out his very own granddaughter had died. A wonderful episode 14 this was, and I can’t wait to see how Soo Jae gets her rightful revenge.I will singlehandedly fight everyone who gives this episode nowhere near perfect.

Kenzie Baxter’s review encapsulates all that should be said about this episode. I fully agree. Moreover, this episode gives us critical insights that even Grim Reaper’s had lives to lead, times of heartbreak & misery. It is truly revolutionary to see the plot be explored even to this extent. This episode is a must watch, for it allows viewers to deep dive into Koo Ryeom (or whatever her name is)’s sacrifice, and abait her sacrifice, she has to suffer the ramifications of choosing suicide as the way out. Not that I agree with the ramifications, but it allows the flow of the story is rather consistent, and hence a good incorporated portion of the plot. I think is it magical that the show touches on every facet of human nature, human lives—how vulnerable we can be, how to put ourselves in others’ shoes even in times of hardship. Execution was amazing, and a well done steak of an episode this was.

This episode was particularly special because of human nature coupled with Jun Woong’s role as a Grim reaper. Here, we can see the complexity of human nature—to save a bad guy, or let him perish and regret the consequences after? This episode allows for high levels of reflection to be made. Wonderful episode with detailed plannings and details. Also, they successfully expressed the “fear” element in the story, making it much, much more believable.Also, can’t believe someone rated this episode lowly because of failed digressions in logic. As someone who isn’t suicidal and cannot bear to see other people going to the extent of actually willing to take their lives, it is difficult to even try to blend in. Don’t deduct points because he was trying to be empathetic, what kind of review even is that. It’s giving me the impression that it’s “better to see them rot and suffer than it is to give them even a small ray of hope that can pull them together (as seen from how they ended up spam calling the two grim reapers later on, showing that they have not decided to quit their lives just yet)”. Ridiculous review that was.

what kind of rubbish ending was this... im not mad at the fact that it was a bad ending, but rather how no one went to jang uk's rescue after seeing mudeok cry like crazy upon realising she has killed her lover.. genuinely WHAT ON eARTH was this episode.. i have been rating every episode from ep1-19 with at least 9-10/10 but this episode gets a 1/10. wished i had ONLy watched from ep1-19!!! WTF!!so many issues with this episode. in order to build suspense for season 2, choosing to put everything in a chaotic fashion is not the way. wished the writers would've thought about this more strategically.My rating for this episode is 1/10 so as to pull down the insanely high average that is unrealistic for the rating of this episode. Would probably give it around 3-5/10. Production quality and visuals were spot on, coupled with use of OSt and nice preview to season 2, 10/10 for those aspects. Other than that, this episode pales in comparison to the others.

Beautiful acting, we finally get to see Ji Woo’s perspective—his narration was spot on and precise, it allowed me to further understand why he acts so nonchalantly, and the scriptwriting of this episode is excellent—using a voiceover to allow Jiwoo to narrate is such a creative idea! At first, I was stuck in a daze, completely perplexed by how the sequence of events would turn out—especially since Jiwoo has fallen into a trap so hard to explain himself. But the director really did a good job in swaying the focus back to the theme of the story! Turns out that HJW left because (spoiler alert) of the guilt and loneliness he felt, completely inseparable from top star KSJ. He finally acknowledges the fact that he is to be blamed for the way the relationship turned out, and finally the drama stops inducing suspense after 7 episodes! A solid episode for me! 9-9.5/10!

A beautiful love triangle with one that’s inseparable and the other stuck in a world of fantasy with his excrush (Naksu) ;)Overall, a beautiful episode that took the r/s between both Yul & Mudeok and Uk&Mudeok to a whole new level!We got to see how dependant Uk is on Mudeok, but also the way Mudeok cares for Uk’s wellbeing without her.Moreover, love struck Yul has to make a tough decision— whether he should continue being with Mudeok, AKA Naksu now, or separate. He is physically and emotionally unable to leave her.Living for the love triangle!

This has got to be the most impactful episode, and hence my favourite episode (so far).While I hoped they show Jang Uk's training towards the 2 weeks in preparation for the fight, I did not penalise since the episode, in totality, touched on so many aspects--namely:1) Chemistry - Naksu and Jang Uk. You can see how she even was willing to inflict bodily harm by using her blood for Jang Uk's tansu. The chemistry was amazing, with Jang Uk even listening to naksu, his master,'s advice. The two have grown to be so comfortable with each other, and as a viewer it is incredibly satisfying to watch. I also squeal at Yul but that's for another day x). Anyway, you can see how inseparable the two are, it's actually adorable.2) Use of OST. Towards the end, they used an OST so suitable for the whole atmosphere and mood of the show. I particularly love 'Scars Leave Beautiful Trace by CAR, THE GARDEN' and another song that i can't remember the name of rn. So good. The editing team defo did an amazing job on this episode.3) Plot: (spoiler alert), I feel like the storyline is incredibly complete this episode, though I wished to see more of Yul's perspective towards Naksu, but I suppose that is to be explored in the future episodes. Also the portion where everyone went around spreading rumours like a wildfire in a forest. That was amusing, since they compared Jang Uk to Naksu, which is ironic since Naksu is his master after all. 4) Acting: The acting was so believable. All casts played their roles incredibly, nothing felt amiss and everything felt real, genuine and I would definitely rewatch this episode.If i could give this episode a score, i would even give it 11/10, but ofc thats not possible in my drama list, so I will give it a full 10. Amazing episode. A must watch. To appreciate the complexity of this episode alone. So good that I even bother writing a review about it!

HJW = Han Ji WooKSJ = Kang Seo JoonFirst of all, this episode is 43mins long?!!! UM WOW?!!There were so many impactful lines in this episode alone. Here are just some of them:HJW says: “Then, you too. Don’t have frequent calls with others. And don’t laugh. I’m the jealous type. I won’t let you do it.” and KSJ responds “All this time, you acted like it was nothing.” and HJW responds saying “I’ve been holding it in all this time. Had I say it, I was afraid it’ll affect your job”. These lines, alone, explain things so thoroughly it is incredible. The scriptwriting on this drama is incredible. I love how transparent, comfortable and sincere the two are. They begin to realise that they are extremely dependent on each other, which is absolutely adorable. It also brings out explanations for HJW’s cold behaviour in Episodes 1-6, showing how HJW truly cares for KSJ, enough to put himself on the line to ensure KSJ’s career does not go haywire. An act of love!HJW’s caring & empathetic nature is brought about so well in this episode, and I was grinning from ear to ear in so many parts of this episode. Another line said by KSJ to HJW says “Are you a baby? What a blabbering crybaby” DAMN in the midst of their transparency KSJ is also able to inject humby teasing HJW.. wow!My absolute favourite scene of the entire drama is also in this episode. From 6:30 to 8:30, the portion where they’re on the staircase and HJW asks for a hug, this has to be one of the most touching and heartwarming scenes of all time. At the 11th minute, the chemistry was already GOING OFF THE ROOF. Their chemistry in this episode has to be one of the best chemistries I’ve seen in dramas of all time. The way they fall back on each other when they face adversities, the way they take turns to hug each other on the bed, they way they actively tease each other, the love that is so overwhelming even as a viewer, romance and chemistry was so successfully executed in this episode and I will most definitely be rewatching this episode again, and again. It is so good. One can see how KSJ changes when he’s with HJW too. KSJ appears to be much more bubbly, lively and overall active compared to his previous self without HJW. He even answers calls now!Another portion of this episode I would like to touch on is Yoo Ha’s involvement. She absolutely girlbossed when confronting the little kid who spread rumours about KSJ.And of course, needless to say, HJW (or shall I say KSJ’s hubby) is the first to know about any news related to him?!There were extremely good links to Season 1 too, and another star line appears. “You (HJW) once asked me (KSJ) why I loved you despite our differences… I guess I like you for who you are”. UM!??? THIS IS SO CUTE LOL OMGAlso lord have mercy on me because the two of them are both wearing rings on their ring finger. It’s so cute I absolutely cannot. I told myself I wouldn’t write another review because I’m so caught up with schoolwork, but this episode was so so so so so so stunning. Incredible work of art and in totality, made me absolutely prefer this season compared to the very first season. Finally some representation for Korea BL! Last of all, their chemistry is also strengthened when HJW says this line, “I mean.. I just fear the whole world may find out how handsome KSJ is”. The use of irony here! KSJ is a celebrity so the fact that HJW says this line makes their love life even more impactful, one where HJW realises he’s got the man of his dreams in his possession and no one else, not even his fans, can compare to HJW. So lucky eh, HJW?~Interestingly, the extended metaphor of the star and the universe is brought out through the last episode as well. Good move by the scriptwriting to convey the show’s message again! Wonderful and splendid episode, I hope a season 3 comes out!This episode gets a solid 10/10 from me :) If i could give it 11, I would.

This episode directly compliments the title of this drama “Our Untold Stories” because everything is being revealed to us at once, the way KSJ can understand HJW and see right through him. HJW admits he escapes to revert to his own self without KSJ, back to when he could live without KSJ’s existence affecting the way he feels and the way he chooses to lead his life—but then he admits that escaping was foolish and even goes back to see memories and the old phone he turned off. KSJ’s questions that kept coming made the scene so intense! We can see the amount of effort KSJ has put in to reach HJW, texting him on Christmas Eve, Christmas, his birthday, etc. This episode was SO impactful! CAN I JUST SAY THE ACTING IS SUPERB? The tears that fell from HJW’s face.. THAT WAS a WORK OF ART. Amazing acting, completely believed every moment of it.Moreover, the plot twist of TB CEO’s honey being the lady who gave her chocolate milk/the old reporter (Lee Yoon Seul or something)last time is amazing! What a realistic twist to the story! Loved it. 10/10 for me!

This episode showcases HJW and KSJ arguing, of which the conclusion led to: HJW opening up about how he (admits) that he was the problem; the main reason why he left was because of him. KSJ accurately describes his self-centred nature, and is extremely frank about it during the confrontation. <>I particularly enjoyed the acting in this episode—everything felt real & genuine, not forced. At the end of the quarrel, they both acknowledge they “do not understand” each other; which may be true to some extent, but the plot flow is not adequate for me to make anything of this statement, hence I shall not comment much on it. <>Moving forward, HJW proclaims he was “lonely” in the relationship, probably having not gotten enough attention due to KSJ’s busy actor schedule. However, the drama also explains that KSJ deeply sacrificed for HJW (going to him on his birthday instead of attending a birthday party, even driving back 1h30mins just for a 2h rest for HJW before he has to go for his next shoot again), which illustrate the idea of how KSJ has this deep and pure puppy love for HJW. Notwithstanding, this does not flow with the “lonely” argument that HJW mentions of, and it is rather confusing to me. Does he want more attention and love from KSJ…? Even when he is not explicitly reciprocating (his love)? It’s hard to pinpoint HJW as he is a complex character, hard for me as a viewer to make of; and it is the drama’s duty to make characterisation clear for the viewers. Hence, I definitely had to take down some points for this. <>Moreover, I did not thoroughly fancy the portion where the director and writers try to make sense of HJW’s behaviour and painting it off as a “bad childhood experience/trauma”. To me, it is no excuse to justify one’s behaviour—as I do see people with trauma from their parents still behaving appropriately in society, some even going to the extent of lending a helping hand when in need. Not that HJW does not lend a helping hand, but his sucky attitude towards KSJ is largely unacceptable and at times, infuriating as a viewer. The focus of the episode has entirely shifted, which makes me saddened as I am now seeking ways to justify this drama’s scoring. What seemed to be a 9/10 drama is now beginning to look quite like a 7-8/10.<>Though, I particularly liked the scriptwriting of this episode too (other than acting). Mr Kim, KSJ’s manager/boss/honestlywhateverroleheplays, is rather wise, giving KSJ truth and only the truth—that his effort appears to be futile, and that he should leave this relationship especially if it is such a toxic one as depicted in the drama itself.To add on, I could see some chemistry in this episode though. For instance, the restaurant’s name is further emphasised that HJW is “waiting for KSJ” (supposedly, and this is how I interpret it since KSJ thinks about it for awhile before he is interrupted). Hopefully this naming of his restaurant will be explained in the next few episodes, or the effort in placing emphasis on the naming would all come to naught.Last of all, HJW also proceeds to start giving KSJ some advice such as “don’t be too friendly to the villagers… no harm in being careful” which all tell me that he struggles with trying to push for ways to express his love, and does it through little instructions like these. I do find it a bit too late, unfortunately.<>Last of all, the ending to this episode was so abrupt. The ex girlfriend and HJW were talking, and the conclusion KSJ makes is that “he has been through tougher pain” ( than his current one with HJW). What on earth are the writers thinking? The conclusion should have been: Perhaps it is time to sympathise with HJW for he had such a painful relationship with trauma that he brought on to the relationship with KSJ, NOT the fact that he has been through tougher pain so that his own toxic love is disregarded for. The writers should all the more realise that KSJ needs to act as a mediator; to tell HJW what and how he should behave before he spirals out of control with his nonchalant behaviour. Also, the whole talk made me feel pissed off for KSJ, but I didn’t deduct points for my personal feelings.<> Overall, this episode was not my cup of tea. It only produced even more questions, but with no answers for them. It is hoped that the drama stops narrating and inducing suspense by getting on to the actual issue of the drama: their love, and why/why not they fit one another. Overall, it gets a 7/10 for me. It falls below the average as there were many scenes that did not have explicit, clear links to the plot digression.
