Kinda cliche story. Kinda cliche characters.

Kinda cliche story. Kinda cliche characters.

I've seen the same contract marriage but the characters fall in love thing about 1348274 times, but when I started watching it, it had been a while since I had watched any drama so I thought I should give it a try. Overall, I rate it a 6/10. There isn't anything profound about the plot. There was too much screen time on the 2nd couple that didn't add ANY substance to the main storyline. However, I really liked the chemistry between the main leads. Also, 2nd male lead was pretty hot though. That was mainly the reason I watched the whole thing, also because I liked Ran Xiwei, though Mo Zixin stopped appearing after like episode 15 or something and Ran Xiwei seemed to have no personality other than trying to break Sichen and Xixi apart. It's clear from the beginning that it's the guy that actively pursues the girl, which I really liked, but at some point, he just becomes way too much of a simp and it gets unbearable sometimes. I really liked the music though. Watching it 1 time through is enough if you can tolerate how much Sichen simps.

Different in a good way

I honestly liked this a bit more than I liked the original Chinese version, which I watched 2 times back to back since I already liked it so much. That version was a bit more lighthearted than the Thai version, as Situ Mo didn't get screwed over by her coworker as Prapai did. This version would've been way better with all the sound effects from the Chinese version, ngl. Anyways, I thought they made the SML way more tolerable and likable this time. From my POV Ta actually goes through a lot more character development than Fu Pei did. Nothing bad to say about the male lead. I was pleasantly surprised to see Gu Weiyi in the last 2 episodes, though I was a bit disappointed as I thought I could hear him speak Thai. The ending was a bit rushed though, but I enjoyed the wedding scene. I honestly would give this a 10 for everything if I heard him speak Thai AND if the ending wasn't so rushed.
