One of the best drama adaptations of all time

I have finished watching this quite a while ago. I loved every seconds of it. I love the friendships between all characters. I love all the actions, and I especially love that the casts are all doing the martial arts moves by themselves so they had to attend martial arts lessons to learn how to do some moves.

At first I don't know how I feel when a loveline between Xiao Se and Sikong Qianluo was made. I thought it was out of nowhere. I wasn't exactly bothered by it. They were cute, although the chemistry is not as hot as the hottest CP but they're there, very subtle. They're also quite endearing to see. It's a shame that their development scenes were cut bcs they had to focus on the friendship.

Overall, I love it so much. All the heroes are very lovable. I hope there will be season 2, continuing the group's journey.

The best enemies to lovers troupe

I am already well aware of Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu having been working together in the past. I just never took interest in their previous drama. But I saw the promo photoshoot they had posted by Youku and I just had to start watching the drama. Best decision I have made in 2023.

Personally, I think this is the best xianxia drama I have ever watched.

Honestly I have some complains about the repetitive of everyone misunderstanding Tantai Jin but everything I love about this drama just outweight my complain and TTJ being misunderstood is really just part of the story.

Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu truly brought life to these characters. I really wish they will work together again in the future. And I hope this drama will gain international popularity! I will be watching their previous drama because of TTEOTM! ?

A perfect weekend movie filled with comedy and action packed.

The Roundup has done it again.

I'm glad I watched it in the cinema.

It was a fun and thrilling ride. The movie, as always, started by showing the bad guys and then later on introducing Ma Seokdo in a funny way. Very typical, but still entertaining.

The plot is great, it's predictable but absolutely not boring. The casts are perfect for each roles. They really went out of their way casting actual Japanese actors instead of making Korean acted like Japanese (just like the usual) which I highly appreciated. The action scene is chef's kiss, although it's quite a pitty that they had to censor it so the graphic part weren't shown at all but it's still satisfying to see all the actions.

Definitely will recommend it to everyone. Can't wait for the fourth movie already!

a well written male centered drama

I was surprised knowing that the original source was never a gay romance. The drama sure know how to up their bromance lol.

Personally I am not a fan of any type of romance in a drama that is heavy in friendship and brotherhood/sisterhood. But I like the bromance in this. If you see it from different perspectives, it actually fits in every one of them. Truly up to viewers' interpretation. You may see romance, or just friendship, or brotherhood, or even father-son bond between LLH-FXB (not entirely but it's there, you just have to see it from that angle).

I think even if people dislike the ending, I quite like it. I don't think Li Lianhua is still alive. He most probably have long been dead when DFS and FDB went to the beach. LLH has been lying to people thag Li Xiangyi is dead, and he lied that LXY was found dead on the beach and the body swept away by the ocean. Personally I think it foreshadowed the way he actually died. LLH chose to die that way because he wanted it.

Saving him is a bit unrealistic. He has said so many times that someone needs the cure more than him. While he was the best during his prime, his time has long passed and it's time for the new generation to surpass him. For him 30% chance is a 0 chance. If someone has 100% survival rate with the antidote, why waste it on him? He's both selfish and selfless in a sense, again depends on what way you see his action.

I personally think people forcing him to stay alive is also quite selfish of them. If LLH chose to die peacefully with his illness, why are you so adamant to make him alive? DFS did it for his long obsession of defeating him. While I get FDB just wanted him to just live and be the LLH and enjoy adventure with him, I think FDB never understood LLH in this case. He's supposed to understand LLH and all his reasoning, but he just refused to accept this one.

Overall this drama is truly one of the best Chinese drama in 2023 aside from The Blood of Youth. Do I want a season 2? Perhaps, with FDB and DFS looking for LLH, dead or alive. And them forming a bond that they didn't know they could build. It would be lovely to have it.

Yang Yang's best drama to date. And might become the best Chinese drama of all time.

Every aspect of this drama is perfect. The main and core of the story was executed flawlessly. This drama won't be as good as it is without every single one of the casts and crews who worked really hard into putting the best performance ever. I was impressed by everything about this drama. The characters are flawed in a good way. The lessons that we learn along the way. The growth of every characters. The sacrifices that have to be made. Yes, there are some complains that I have but those things aren't greater than the best things of this drama. My complain is very subjective, but objectively speaking this drama truly deserve a high rating.

And I stand by my statement that this drama is Yang Yang's best work. I know he's a great actor. But I only realized that he's a versatile actor after watching this. The range he could pull in this drama is insane. I think he maximized his full potential through this project. I always enjoy his projects, though I never called myself a fan. But after this? I officially joined his fanclub. I'm absolutely addicted with his acting.

Very sweet and light drama

I love this drama a lot. Very fluffy and light. I love how there isn't huge crisis in the drama. I love that all of the characters are very mature. I love the way Yu Tu's character is written. He is a very proud man but willing to unlearn things for his loved ones. I love the way they showed him being a proud man and feeling insecure with his income when compared to the FL. I love that the professor made him realized that no matter how much he earns as an engineer he will never be richer than FL so he should stop with his lame excuse of not being able to give something to her. And I love that he realized it's his own job to make himself feel like a man and it's not Jingjing's job to make him feel he's enough. I love that he accepts that and fixed the way he sees things. I love every part of this drama.

A beautiful drama that will make you excited, laugh, and cry

I watched it not knowing any of the casts at all. Decided to give it a try since it was on Youku's top 10 drama. Did not regret at all starting it.

The story is filled with love, joy, laughter, and tears. I love every little part of it. It was absolutely fun. The love between Youqin-Yetan and Chaofeng-Qingkui are very heartwarming and I love both couple so much.

The sisterly love and bond between Yetan and Qingkui is absolutely my most favorite part about this drama. It's so beautiful. Both of them loved each other dearly. The actresses potrayed their love perfectly.

Of course there are some let downs in the drama. I have my least favorite parts as well which I skipped a lot because I think it was not exactly necessary to have two episodes long to convey the messages although I understand why it took two episodes long.

The funny part is all the fathers, except for the Beast King, are all horible father figures. If I could rank them from the least to most horrible then it would be:
1. Beast King
2. Emperor Tun
3. Void Tyrant
4. Heavenly Emperor

It's quite ironic how the Heavenly Emperor is supposed to be heavenly but he's the most horible out of them all.

As for the ending, I think it was a bit rushed but it's the perfect ending for their stories. It's an open ending, but also a happy one, we can imagine the kind of future they could have after that ending.

Absolutely love it so much. I am now will try to watch the actors' other works because all of them are absolutely great actors.

A fated love between two worlds

It started off really good. I was hooked from the very first episode. I never read the novel like everyone else so I don't know how the story supposed to go. But like everyone else, I agreed that the story was dragged from around episode 12 / 13. It could've ended in episode 20 - 25 but since they had to make it 40 episodes, they dragged it way too long. It's such a pitty especially with the story build up, it ended just like that. For a drama that was made longer than it supposed to be, the ending surely is very rushed. I have certain parts that I love so much, but I also have parts that annoy me so much that I think it was so unnecessary to be put there.

Well, it was a good journey. I love both Tianyao and Yanhui. I also love Bai Xiaosheng, though a lot of the novel reader said he didn't exist in the novel ? glad it's at least a happy ending. But it was such a rushed ending ?

Not a manga adaptation, but a storyline in the same timeline to show how it happens in Korea

Just finished watching it in one sitting. I like that it only used the Parasyte theme and not adapting the manga plot and storyline. So it makes it look like the Parasyte happening in Korea in the same timeline as Shinichi Izumi.

You know how sometimes you read a manga about end of the world and the heroes are all fighting only in one country and it makes you wonder, "so how does other countries manage the apocalypse?" The Korean parasite is exactly that. It shows how the parasyte takes over Korea. That's why Shinichi can visit her, because they're not making Shinichi Korean ver., but rather making their own heroes. Love it so much. 9/10.

I would love different versions from different countries and have both the Korean and Japanese casts cameo-ing.

Painfully beautiful

Yandah, oh, Yandan. My heart ache for you. My heart ache for Yumo. My heart ache for Zhaolan. But for some reason I can't feel pity for Yingyuan nor Tangzhou.

I love this. I love the characterization of every characters. The story unfolds made me understand why some characters are like that. I think my only complain is the filler scene of Zilin and that fox princess. To be honest, I skipped their story since I think it was unnecessary to the main plot.

I will start part 2 right away!
