An enjoyable low quality comedy to turn off your brain and watch.

In no way this is tropes free, but has an unexpected charm. It doesn't take itself seriously, doesn't pretend to be more than what it is either. Specially fun and enjoyable if you are into over the top comical nonsense. There's no much deep into it other than the acceptance of the families but it doesn't need more, it doesn't pretend to be an emotional wrenching drama, just what it is, fun, nonchalant, easy to digest.
I die with the musical moments, two characters are talking about something and it becomes a musical scene all of the sudden, with two not so good singers signing a definitely not so good song. The alone ones are truly a sight as well, amusingly bad and hilarious. They know this and exploid it.

Now to the 3 bl couples.

The main, Ig & Ruk is probably my least favorite. Is a bit messy, you want to punch Ig on the face and make him understand the situations he is in during the first half. They are cute together and i like that both are masculine just in diferent sizes. I like when they get out of the stereotypes and don't pretend to make all the couples have masc/fem type of roles. At the end they are solid.

The 2 couple is my sweet spot. Kui is the handsome goalkeeper that goes on vacations with his friends and finds an unexpected love. I like how it wasn't dragged, he never liked a guy but meet the sweetest watermelon sunshine and just felt head over heels. He felt it, was honest from the get go and went for it directly. They are the sweetest couple and their love story is soft and lovey dovey, sad that they don't have a lot of screentime or any relevance in the final episodes.

The countryside couple, Ruk's older brother with the cute famous singer is beautiful. They put the little deepness that this series has. Their love is strong and consolidated already, an steady couple.

I would say go for this one if you liked the comedy in Fish upon the sky, imagine that (specially the brother of the protagonist kind of humor) on a lower budget and production quality, mixed with bl loves from the past like Make it right. Take it to the countryside and you get Siew Sum Noi. An enjoyable turn off your brain watch.

Their chemistry is worth it, but that's 15 minutes between a nonsense of special episode.

It didn't add anything worth it tbh. Just more couple moments and kisses, not complaining about that but you could sum up all that in 15 minutes and call it a day.

Another silly misunderstanding, and the character growth nowhere to be found. Gene keeps being unreasonable and puts himself and how he feels over trying to be a bit more understanding and putting more effort into the relationship, is always the other part that has to understand him. Sib keeps using white lies to get the things that he wants. 2 years and their communication is still worrisome.

The important plots during the episode, like abuse and mental health only were used as a tool with no ending or importance... You cannot show me a couple that has a guy being abussed and beaten the crap outa it by his boyfriend and move on without that having a propper endind or any relevance for anything.
And let's not talk about yet again another ending wedding for the straight couples that most likely only 4 cats are truly invested or care about.

I still love the couple, the series and everything in between, but my expectations about the series at the beggining were higly different, the main plots that i expected them to cover, like an older couple relationship between two working adults, one being an actor and the other the writer of the novel and having to deal with the entertainment industry and fandoms, were more like a side dish that wasn't even that full. The meal is over, and i am still hungry.

Their chemistry is worth it, but like i said, that's 15 minutes between a nonsense of special episode.

A disapointing roller coaster worth to watch, at least the first half

One of the biggest disapointments i had with a movie.

The first half is stunning, visually, the 90's vibes, the OST... I am a huge fan of Ohm, for me he is one of the best actors that works on the BL industry, he is seriously skilled. I was in love, the first half.

The turning point from the plot is... stupidly bad. The supernatural, reincarnations, high school, age gap... just no. And trust me, i am not the person who is against making movies with socially unacceptable plots, i watch the weirdest things that are unconfortable to many and i am ok with it (i watched a dude tell how he was in love with a male GOAT for over 20 years and proced to have sex with a guy dress like one, and i laughed till i cried), is a movie and art is there to explore.
The problem is that it doesn't work, at all. And the old actor cannot stand a candle compared to the young ones. From there is a train wreck, and only a few scenes are kinda worth it.

The OST is a keeper. Ohm is a Keeper. If you want to see him in a supernatural kinda plot, a good one, go as fast as the light to He's comming to me.

Alexa, how can i forget the 2 half of this movie?

This feels like a homemade meal. Warm, natural and simplistic.

They might have a small budget, but it works on their favor. The rawness and simple scenes, their appearances and how the characters dress and carry themselves, the natural and real scenarios feel like they are 0 atrezzo, prepared or fabricated, photography that is costumbrist and of course the story, full of feels of the first crush between two teens that feel like teens that are blossoming in front of our eyes. They are honest, clumsy, shy and all what you would expect these kids to be if they were real people.

For having such a short length, they made us know what kind of people they are, where do they come from, their background and situations. The contraposition between a capital city kid who worries about school, grades, internships and future and a rural area kid who worries about labor work and helping his mom. They don't feel one dimensional, is realistic and the honesty transcends again.

Don't come expecting a GMMTV production quality that would be like a full course meal at a good restaurant, come expecting a small rural canteen where a villager cooks homemade dishes with their own ingredients.

Even the way their friendship and love progress feels natural and costumbrist. I went back to when i was 12 and meet a cute person at a summer camp. I'm sure that plenty of us remember what a first crush between our childhood and teenager days was.

There are things to be improved, like making the timing and run down of the events more logical and cohesive, going overboard with how they portray certain characteristics of Keptawan or too little about Nabdao ones... but in all honesty it makes this one even more natural and close to my hearth.

If you can donate to this project here is their paypal: [email protected]

Hope we can see more of them in the future.

Nostalgic, detallist and brilliantly acted by our main couple

This show starts slow paced. My advice is to persevere if the first two episodes are not it for you, it gets better each episode, like a room that gets warmer as you wait after turning on the heat.
There is a nostalgic feel all over it, with an early 2000's OST that helps you being translated to that time and place. They use the color in a diluted way, costumbrist i will say, sometimes it evoques the ITSAY and Call me by your name vibes, quite brilliantly for a very small production and budget. Pay extra atention to the rooms decorations, each poster has sense there.

Paper and Sky, the main couple, have great chemistry and acting skills. The last part of episode 3 is mesmerizing. Starting from there, their acting just keeps raising the bar each second. Is one of those special dynamics that not many bl couples can deliver, is in the details, the smallest gestures of tenderness, love, the little touches, the fingers caressing each other's skin... Even i got the shivers. Let’s give a special standing ovation to the actor that plays Sky part, Fluke, he is a rookie, but not many bl actors have made me feel the desperate, needy, profound and agonic love that he feels with just his eyes alone.

Also, i have warmed up with Chris and Jeno love story, it was just ok, till the last 2 episodes leveled up the game, and gave us a why, it was hella cute. Their story here is way more developed than in TharnType, liked their characters there but they were just a comedic distraction, here they have more deepness.

Some plots could have been improved, especially the first 2 episodes and the 3rd couple all together, for me they could have been cut and instead focus more on showing more alone scenes of the two main couples, when they are face to face alone is where everything in this series is right and makes sense, too bad there wasn't more of that.

The ending could have been better, but i am happy with it. Considering they cut from 8 to 6 episodes at the end, i would have focus more and again cut a lot of random scenes and provide more IT ones.

Overall, i am very pleased with this drama, came expecting average and ended with a treat. Totally recommended.

Take it for what it is, a nonsensical ride with many queens.

Another old school BL but this time Taiwanese.
Fun at some points, desperately bad at others.
I enjoyed the OST, old pop rock style.

I remember liking Ah Shin a lot (is a cutie and a keeper) and not understanding how he was so blindly in love with his friend that wasn't exactly a good catch, his girlfriend will testify. But oh well, she wasn't one either.

Please, someone make Peter Jackson watch the scene where they recreate The Lord of the Rings haha, i cannot.

Quite eccentric, during the progress of trying to win the gay contest, many characters have some funny moments.

Don't look deep and take it for what it is, an old funny and nonsensical ride with many queens.

Just a bingeworthy fast food delivery

I would describe my experience with this series like when i open my phone and get a delivery from McDonald's. We al know that it's trash food, yeah it's bad, but while eating it, it feels good and gets you full.

The acting is quite bad, so the writting and pace of events, but i quite enjoyed it for a plain binge and now move on. The theme itself is quite cliché but not that much in BL territory so i give it a pass. The actors are insanely cute and they actually had chemistry together and kissed properly. I thought that my standards on that got higher, but after watching 2gether the movie the other day and some trash where the actors are totally unconfortable with portraying gay characters, this is already (and sadly) a point of improvement and a thing to praise here. Liked how it ends, not how is constructed and told, but i liked that they didn't go for the power of love conquers all.
I would have a different opinion and give it a lower ranking if this was 16 eps of 50 minutes each, like if this was a menu from a good restaurant. I want more quality in BL land overall, and the second half of the year has been the worse, but i don't mind some basic and a bit bland fast food once in a while.

So, i'm clearly hungry.

Watch it if you are bored and don't expect much from it.

Another girl ready to worship a guy and forget that she exists because he acted like a decent human

I feel like i saw this movie a 1000000 times over the years (some better than others) and as time goes by it gets harder to get it pass down my troath. I get so frustrated with the brainless nonsense passivity and stupid acting (or lack of it for that matter) and decision making...
And it's specially problematic when they write girl characters, it gets to my last nerve. It's not being shy or afraid of being bullied, it's just acting like they are 5 (i kinda know that some japanese guys like that girls act that way, stupid and immature so they fill their ego so i know why they write them that way, very problematic) a passivity to a level of being a blank paper that you can do anything with and leaving their entire selves to hopefully being ``saved´´ by a guy that will become their god just because they acted like any basic decent human would do.

I know shit about her but she had a freaking notebook asking every little thing about him or even his taste in hairstyles. He was the one that matter, she doesn't. She is almost empty to us.

And they act inconsistent and change their minds on and off without propper sense!! I cannot haha so frustrating.

I enjoy certain aspects of the tenderness of japanese romance, that's why i still come to watch time to time hopping for better, but please, get it together and stop with this characters that are brainless and have 0 personality other than following their love interest and throwing absurd pitty parties for themselves because is way too much to handle.

And lord, if you hear me, teach 99% of japanese live actions how to kiss, because the stamp is for the papers not the lips. Quite sure that the steamy kiss tag was a joke from someone, i refuse to believe otherwise.

If you loved the series, you will love the movie.

Our babies are back!! As in love as we left them, ready to deepen their relationship!!

Now, as for technical aspects, is a total improvement, the colors, photography, camerawork, the acting, continuity... They made an awesome job with the 1 season of the series, it was almost imposible to believe that plenty of that was recorded with computers and phones. Now, being able to use good equipment, a bigger team, and be together on set, everything got elevated.

The acting was everything we could expect from this two talented actors. Being able to reciprocate in situ made the chemistry go even further, if that was even possible, they made it happen. The supporting cast delivered their roles, specially Pearl and Aquilles.

Plotwise, we got what we knew and continued where we left it. The characters dealing with their new realities, emotions and the family issues, this time more centered on Gab's side. It was very well delivered, i would have enjoyed a bit more time for the main couple to connect and all that. After the series, we all wished and were really invested into them having what the pandemic didn't let them before, and i feel like i needed a bit more of that here, just for them, just a bit more prior to all the people that came at once.
I kinda felt that Terrence and Wes relationship was a bit rushed and needed more story in between, i wished they didn't give us the rush and focus less on that here in the movie, but let it develop more in the 2 season. I feel like i haven't been able to really be invested in their story or see their fellings for each others and emotions develop or flow.

The endind is well thought for us to be eager to see what's next and ready to jump into the 2 season whenever they give it to us, but not too heartbreaking to leave us on the floor bawling our eyes out. A bittersweet but hopeful ending, for now, and we all know is just a see you later.

Overall it maintained the level of the series, and we reinforced the fact that we have here a perfect pairing of 2 of the best young actors from the Philippines with a magical chemistry shy to none.

Recommended? Wholeheartedly

Enjoyed and saw the great things about it, even between the moral debate

The series was interesting overall, using the office setting, they gave us new plotlines and working issues. I think that the production changes affected, but i wouldn't go that far as to say that this is a bad series, for me is an step down from HIStory 3 (that could have happened either way because those 2 are top notch 9 & 9.5 series, very hard to improve) and neck to neck with HIStory 2.

The acting was good, not only from our main 4, but also the rest, specially the father of the non blood related brothers. The OST was quite good as well. Enjoyed the wardrobe, i think that the stylist did a great job portraying all their personalities through their fashion sense.

The story started low for me, specially the second couple, and later on they knew how to pick it up and elevate it.
The main couple is what triggers people the most, because the lived together as brothers for some years and some controversial stuff. Is not that i don't understand why it can feel off, specially some scenes are a bit (much) of a controversy, but i see it as art, art is there to explore things, it doesn't need to be an honest representation of what is right in society. We see in media all kinds of violence, gore, craziness... all the things that are wrong as well, so even if you would not agree with something like that in real life, you can watch it and understand the storyline withouth needing to be a perfect sunny portray of morals. I saw a movie where a dude was in love with a MALE GOAT, killed him while being jealous, and after 20 years was so not over that keept getting male prostitutes to dress like that damn goat and have sex with them so... yes, i don't see that as a right, morally correct and fluffly thing, but i totally cried while laughing and found it amusing LMAO
As for the second couple, their characters are vey charming, both of them, way more than the main couple, and that made me fall for them even stronger. I just didn't enjoy the childish start of their story, the shippers thing and all that... it felt like i was in an school GMMTV bl (upsie) but with adults. Later on, when all that passed, they made it a really sweet and nice love story, with some very interesting topics of conflict between gay couples such as their bed preferences. They also have boom as chemistry, and are long time friends in real life, so that was a plus indeed.
The cameos from HIStory MODC made it even more worth it ^^ My heart felt warmer at the end.

Overall, i enjoyed the series, and saw the great things about it, even between the moral debate, is not perfect, but is good.

Worth to watch? totally

Included in my top 10? No

I'll watch it again? Some scenes and plotlines, not in full lenght.

HIStory 1 and 2 walked so HIStory 3 could run.

This is the best HIStory. What a meaningful, sweet and sad ride.
Their love is cute as if, and the story and acting superb.
Let's give a proper place to the secondary couple, they delivered and hardly i like both couples equally and feel that they made a fantastic job with both in every sense.

This series has serious doses of lovely moments, great kisses and hot sex scenes. Enjoy.

The stories of both couples feel deep, interesting, with layers, just how it should be. Every character is well built, have their background and you connect with them, see them overcome issues and grow their love. Fantastic acting.

This is the first time that i cry my eyes out for a ball of rice.

I am on the shortest side, the one that loved the sad ending (be warned, ep. 10). The acting at the end is just... outstanding. The way those emotions are portrayed it just breaks you into million pieces.
Is not often when you see this kind of pain and absolute devastation without an ending redemption, a glance of hope. There's none, there's no way. I am in love with how such an inner core sadness was projected and we were able to taste it in all her glory. Is devastating but totally profound. This is the truth and realism of that kind of feelings, if you experienced that before, you know this was you, this will always be you.

A 15yo boy going after a 18yo girl with 0 chemistry between them

Watched it back then and now i came across this title while looking for another series. Since there's no review, i'll write a simple one, just like this drama. It is one of those really light, short and kill the time type of shows, classic teen GMMTV style. No BL tho.

After him rejecting her on the first season and now having realize that he does like her, he goes after her and she is playing hard to get. They are unsure if they can keep it up now, specially her, but is more like she wants him to show that he really does care about her, just like she did before, going after her, being there, being taken care of... Show his love.

Is quite childish, but the ML was indeed a child, 15ish, so does his character. I must admit that, even if in other contexts love me the older woman/younger boy love story, this is one of those few times when i find it a bit strange, She is fresh in college and he has 3 years till his high school graduation. 3 years in not a big age gap at all, but in this situation, it really is. the problematic part comes because he is a minor and their life styles, maturity level, power dinamics and all are totally unbalanced. That makes me feel some type of way not gonna lie.
In terms of production quality, is GMMTV, you can expect in that department, polished. The story is somewhat entertaining and since is only 8 episodes long, it doesn't drag too much.
The other issue that i have, and probably comes with the age of the actor at the time as well, is the lack of romance. A romantic series without romance, what the actual. They have 0 chemistry and there are not so many moments of bonding, feelings or anything, let's not even go as far as phisical contact. Probably the actress, that was 19/20 back then, felt as weirded out as me.

Would i recommend? Not really, but cannot kill you.

Would i rewatch? Never.
