MIRAGE

This drama is like a toy xD
Annoying but a bit of entertainment.
It's a NETFLIX money-making machine with a low budget surpassing the viewership.
A 100 episode melodrama turned into 2 seasons with 16 episodes each.

Infidelity is an interesting concept and you can't help but watch it thinking the revenge concept will come into play but it doesn't.
Any viewer will continue to watch this hoping things will change but they don't which is exactly what happens.
It fulfils the producer as it gets viewership as well as

Moreover, the writer cleverly stretches the plot and nothing happens.
It's total BULLISH**t at this point.
Totally disappointed with the 2nd season except episode 11, it was a good episode.

PS: I only watched this since Netflix produced it otherwise I wouldn't have. Seems like you can't Netflix these days on such things either.

ONE OF THE BEST SPY SPOOF, PUT YOUR BRAIN ASIDE AND ENJOY

This drama has it's moments.
The first half is more melodramatic and slow, the second half is fast and fun to watch.
This is one of those dramas that you can binge-watch.
Again this is one of those which would've been perfect with a 12 episode run but been stretched to 16 was overkill.

The most surprising aspect is the screen time of almost all the cast including the supporting cast is nearly the same.

I would call this drama better than ' Man to Man ' coz of its unique involvement with every character.
The ending was perfectly balanced.

Even though the spy angle is quite confusing a becomes a joke at times, the humour is what keeps this drama alive.
In b/w the relationship angle is an added charm, I would on top of that add the very fact that this does have some great focus on the relationship aspect of both the couple.
Terrific involvement in that regard could've added space for more romance but being a SPY drama it just remains as a wish.

Overall this is a perfectly balanced drama in all aspect, neither too bad nor too great.
Just a good simple watch :)

Machiavellianism in a comedic semi thriller

The above clause I would use to define this drama.
One of the greatest, most meticulous and manipulative drama you'll ever see.
It starts slow, in fact very slow, but rarely I've seen it happen that the start that's been slow and by each and every episode it attains the best pace and theme possible.
In fact, the last episode was the best episode of this drama.

TBH , I was going for an 8 or even a 9 rating for this drama, until I saw the last episode changed everything, It Just amazes you.
The way this drama sparks your curiosity is phenomenal.

The casting is spot-on, acting is god level and the characters are so distinct.
The direction is absolutely stunning.
Cinematography is full of details.
The plot is kinda in reality check zone.
One of the best dramas I've ever seen.
The way this has been written is its absolute strength.
Such an interesting and fun drama to watch.
It's PERFECT.

You'll love this only if you're into mature things.
I would say by the looks of other reviews this drama is way too underrated.
If you're one of those you get confused with depth of direction and plot, this ain't for you. PEACE!

This is a Seinen drama .
It demands maturity from the viewers , if you're here to entertain yourself with non sense action and stuff , better stop here .
When you think of a Bodyguard and all the plots you must've ever watched .
The real depiction is off from far , considering how there are so flashy and unrealistic .
A man protecting and fighting all the people alone .

This drama is on another level in terms of depicting how this field of bodyguard works .
After all even they are human .
The fights and plot progression are to a point professionally dealt which is the highlighting point of this drama .

There's a sniff of romance, but the writers just snatch it off whenever the point comes .
It's the kind of romance which makes you crave for more .

As far as the acting is concerned , there's hardly any negative point .
They made use of the whole cast which was limited phenomenally which is surprising .
All of them were just excellent .

A perfect drama with a bit cliche' ending , but that's fine .

This drama is an ART .
You won't realize it when you're watching this .
Reply 1994 is so surreal that watching it might not make you like it instantly .
It's so slow at the beginning that you might find it boring .
But as gradually it progresses there's a kind of addiction you'll feel to it .

There's hardly any drama that focuses on all the characters. I mean this is so hard to even write.
I think they have pulled a masterpiece here.
Moreover the character development .
Gosh , it never stops .
You'll feel your own growth with the way things progress from when it starts to when it ends .

One of the best series I've watched .
I would say each and every episode had a lesson .
Something to learn , it's not only entertainment .
But they have shown the phase of life .
How it changes when time change , people change .
The relationships , the friendship in the most powerful way .

The realism of this drama makes it cringy at times .
I mean you find certain traits annoying but that's it speciality .
I wouldn't say I loved all of the things but as you know such drama comes in package .
It was so surreal as in terms of acting that you do tend to dislike somethings .
You should watch this drama if you're looking for something nostalgic specially the 90's .

I can proudly say I learnt alot

NON SPOILER REVIEW :

If you're looking for a drama that shows
"The co-relation b/w the medical and corporate sector "

How they both work and merge . How dirty is it actually . How it's exploited .
What role the doctors play in this and how's the situation .Then this is it .
Rarely do I see such dramas . It's really serious at times .

This drama was excellent , but it had it's ups and downs .
The first episode was just boring and wasn't even needed .
It got paced after that nicely but again was hollow after episode 7 or 8 I think .

The problem this drama had was character development .
While this was the drama's strength but it ended up being it's biggest flaw .
The writer tried so hard to give equal screenplay to everyone in this drama ,
I mean every character had it's own importance , their own perspective was shown .
Every single character out there .

The problem lies in the fact that the mid plot was hollow and the writer tried to cover it up which I feel was absurd .
She wrote a good start and a good end but the mid part was just jumping from serious to casual romance and what not .

But then it diverted ,
In simple terms it lost it's depth and tried to regain it in the ending episodes .
But anyway , the writers tried to make it seem as realistic as possible which is a good thing .

The plot is open I mean it's unpredictable in a sense that it takes the realistic approach so well that you'll be surprised how normal things are .
People are people after all .
How we judge them and how they really are .

Acting wise all of them were awesome .
Specially our Lead Jo Seung Woo(Mr.Goo) . He's a real star and after watching him in 3 dramas now he's done till now .
He's the best Korean actor at the moment . Just phenomenal .

If I could only use a sentence to define this movie , it would be
' An excellent fantasy fictional longing romance '

I will say what i feel and like .
These kind of movies are needed for once in a while .
It will appeal the most to people who believe in love .
I mean with all those f**kng retard things of dating and love going on in today's world makes me sometimes wanna believe in this kinda romance and the power of it .
It's so influencing . I mean the intensity i feel right now just after I finished it is so different .

I would divide my review into 2 parts :

The start was golden .
For me the best scene was when he recognized her in the market and followed her .
I was like damn ,that's moving .

This movie ticks all the boxes if you ignore the fantasy fictional plot
~ It has the narration style , which I personally love .
~ It has the music blended right in the scene .
~ The acting is just phenomenal
~ The female lead has an angelic smile , makes your heart melt right there .
~ Outstanding cinematography .

The first half was just superb I had no complaints .
But the second half was a bit off , but what they could've done eventually it was bound to be like that .

But even with that plot, the scene were marvellous , His approach to her with that patience was awestrucking .
It was like every puzzle did fit in the end .

Sometimes you don't judge things on how rational they are , for atleast one thing I sometimes would like to believe is irrational Love .
This movie was such .
Not all movies can do this and I think the large part of credit would go to the director and ofcourse the actors .
The movie made me happy for that 1.5 hour period which is enough to rate it good . ^^

Some of my fav dialogues from this are :
~ " I don't dare dream to of being with her but still I want to do something for her "
~ "I used to hate school ,Now I think it's quiet a nice place "

Okay , the ending : Tragedy . It was overbroad so not satisfying .
But maybe it was meant to be like that .

The ending scene was awesome , They showed that he followed her from the beginning (i.e the camp) to the end .

The perfect imperfect Drama

NON SPOILER REVIEW :
' Return ' The perfect imperfect Drama
This is the most ironical and circumstantial CRIME drama I've ever watched .
This drama has the best start one can get . Totally gets you in the grip , on the edge of your seats . I mean watching a group of delinquents , I swear the thrill you get is seriously out of this world .
The acting is phenomenal . It's like nothing ever seen before.
Just perfect .
I mean you never come across such interesting characters.
I would say the speciality of this drama sort from crime is it's character setup.
The first 15 episode are gem in that case .

But after that it gets a bit too low with some unfortunate circumstances such as the female lead leaving the show and being replaced which I found to be the right decision as the second female lead suits the role more . But I think this was surely a trap as for the first 15 episodes the first female lead is best suited .

The sole star and antagonist of the Korean industry would surely be Shin Sung rok after this drama forsure . What a villain . He's the villain you love to see and that's the difference b/w him and the others .

The acting is phenomenal , the plot was excellent halfway but average after that .

Final Call :
7.5/10

DILUTED CHARM

It's strange, I rarely write reviews on dramas I've dropped but Que Sera Sera is different.
It has one of the most classic and fascinating plots, and it's worth watching in the first half.
The 2nd half is where the problem begins, it turns into a disdainful melodrama which is pathetic to watch.

The writing is top-notch although it fades away in the 2nd half.
All 4 characters have been given equal screenplay time which is fascinating to even think of.
The tone is solemn,
What Irked me most is the fact that it starts with a fixated plot but the change of characterization into disdain is pathetic.
It ruined the drama for me enough to drop it.
There could've been a different timeline for this drama to achieve much more success , sadly it focused on the pity part .

~ Also this is the first time in a drama where the 2nd FML had complete domination over FML simply due to her role.
She was better at acting, better dialogues.
FML was shadowed by the 2nd FML.

~ Coming to the soundtracks, My goodness where do I start, the sound director of this drama deserves an award.
Such great soundtracks, you could literally feel the jazz and pop theme around the mid-2000s.

Overall this drama is a great package, the ending is predictable still worth watching in the 1st half.

PS: Some people who're overly sensitive might feel the intensity of this drama, but that's how people are.
Remember this isn't a fancy drama, it's a toned drama based on realism at times, it's not the best out there but it's fun to watch.

The plot is baseless and stretched way too much . It's all a goof . First 10 episodes are meaningless .
I have never been this disappointed in a revenge drama , but from the start it was flawed .
Idiotic killings , Identity swap , bad female lead who's always crying , a villain whom you're telling all your plans . --_-- Ugh Utterly Disappointing .
Now this is my 2nd Kim Nam gil revenge drama .
If you wanna know how good a revenge drama can be watch ' Bad Guy' also by Kim nam gil .
This is how you do it . All things planned without any flaw .
But remember that the consequence of a revenge is always bad .

Justifies - Don't Judge a Book by it's cover

Chocolate isn't any extraordinary drama.
The writer of this drama is sly and cheeky.
I'm dropping this due to inconsistent plot development.
There really isn't anything much to it.
The starting first 2 episodes are great which might make you think! Ohh wow!
And then after that, the writer simply drags it like nothing, nearly zero plot progression, and starts playing with deaths one after another.
For sure it has phenomenal cinematography but you can't solely depend on that.
The plot is scattered here and there.

This drama has a straight target for the female audience, it just somehow forces you to like it since it's brimming of sadness.
Everybody is sad in this drama, like seriously.
I liked it initially but halfway stage it's enough,
Or maybe people have become too much of an emotional fool to like this.

Only watch it if you've nothing to do and just want to pass the time.

Sometimes we need some lessons in live to improvise ourselves .
Living life with all aspects together at a place isn't something to be taken granted for .
Life demands improvisation and maturity .

This drama's sole purpose is to highlight 3 (common) out of the several aspects of a relationship .
One with a hefty relationship , the second with a no relationship and the last (lead) one with the most enigmatic and charming outlook on relationship (basically marriage )
All together every episode has a theme to it .
Read the title carefully .
" Because this is my first life "
Ironic , isn't it ?
Why ? you ask . /
Well it's the same thing for each and everyone of us out there . It's the first time we're living our lives / But the difference is where it counts and makes us different altogether .
Life , Job , Relationship ( which later on coverts to marriage) , Family , Friends .
These are thee basic aspects .

Final call , This drama is a master piece . The acting is awesome , the cinematography is charming , the script is like fire on the dance floor .
It sways you with each and every episode till you feel it to the core of your heart and mind .
Or get blown away with it .

BEST DRAMA OF 2017 in my belief .

Rating , You don't rate masterpieces and gem .
Wait , I should ?
Take it then .
100000/10

P.S : Because this is my first life too .^^

" Love and Dreams are miraculous . They don't need to be heard , to be said or translated "
Just Wow . I mean At first glance , I thought that the movie was bound to be emotional and the plot might get cliche' . The first 1 hour of the movie was Good enough to make me believe this has to get an emotional end without anything much left .
After that 60 Min cross , BOOM . .xD
I was Baffled by the plot twist .. Haha ..
I was kinda confused when Yang said to her sister that the boy was deaf like her . I was like Okay a plot twist is about to come .
But then near the swimming pool scene I thought that Her hearing came back since she kept her head inside the water. Ya , Ya I know so dumb of me to think that . But that was the Biggest plot twist .
I mean I never thought she could speak . But that was the Perfect aim of the movie .
To be able to understand each other without saying anything . It was the best ever message in terms of emotions i have ever seen .
Just wonderful .
9:24
"They are kids as long as they aren't married "
LMAO .. !! Just asian parent kinda thing .xD
Also that water Bird reference was right on the mark . Even I thought that about her when she was jumping around and walking near the swimming pool . .Hehe . .xD
There were so many cute scenes in the movie . Like her being a street performer . And Then the boy talking to her on the street . . Haha . Just damn sweet .
I often wondered how hard it would be for hear impaired people , or anyone with any deformity in their body ?
We say our own normal lives are difficult but what about them then ?
Cheers to all of such people . Claps to their determination .
50:18
" What's the use of kindness when you are mute "
F**KIng bastard . How rude of him to say something like that . A**hole .
57:02
Haha . . That sign language by his dad indicating he's crying above . LMAO .. xD
1:08:02
That whole idea of the tree and those line were awesome . Eventually it takes courage to do all that . And just Wow . .Simply Superb .
1:25:50
Cool Parents . I'm glad the way his parents said those things . It shows alot of things .
He too did the right thing by asking them without making further efforts .
And now comes the best part . I laughed so much , fell of my chair eventually by such a plot twist and Paused it for a min and Jumped around .
1:34:28
Amazing .
His parents . Lol , Everything from writing in that pad and copying everything what he said about yang yang . LMAO ..!!
1:36:05
Surprised surprised surprised . . ! You got me the writers and the directors . I have never been fooled so much in a movie and this was the first time eventually . Haha .I just thought her hearing came back but didn't expect her to speak totally . Lol . .
1:38:05
Here comes the best ever part , the whole message of the movie
" How did you guys talk when you dated ? "
We didn't talk , we used sign language .
God damn . The way they both looked at each other and said this . Damn Sugary . .
Plot : 9/10
Twist 10/10
Soundtrack 9/10
Acting 10/10
P.S : I forgot to mention the acting by the trio . Must have had worked hard all of them . To express your facial expression throughout the whole movie . Fabulous work by all of them . xD

WASTED TALENT WITH WORST SCREENPLAY

This drama had potential.
But it's irrational.
By the time the character development happens, it's almost over.

This is by far the only drama, that too coming of age in which the characters are so complex and indecisive, especially the FML
She's mundane.
Absolute low-crushing spirit throughout.
The MC is a m0r0n , who keeps going on and on after her.

The whole friend group is a cross-loving quad-entangled web.

I would say many of us watch dramas due to the script involving interesting characters.
This drama could be liked by those who can accept human irrationality to the point of zero expectation.
Coz one way to look at it, more than 50% of such people do exist.
It's an ordinary script.
Think of the most non chalant way of interaction b/w your day to day peers , zero spark , tons of foolish emotions only to be wasted at the end.
All the characters are hypocrites except the MC .
And the FMC is the biggest hypocrite of them all.

Man, I'm so disappointed coz I only watched this due to MC', since his script selection has been credible.
Avoid this one .
It's nothing but a pain in the a3se to watch .

Fun , Fast, Slow and Intriguing

Dramas with a bit of twisted romance including supernatural tricks always pique your mind.
And it's the same with this drama
The plot is fascinating.

The acting is outstanding, brilliant!
The plot starts fun and fast but then gets so slow, the plot revolves round and round the same lame thing which kills the curiosity, and it feels like a drag.
And by the time it comes to an end, you lose your patience with all the melodrama and the biggest plot twist one could expect.

This is where I feel this drama should've been 16-18 episodes only and then it would've been perfect.
This is one of those rare plots where you can experiment with pretty much anything.
I can insert tragedy , mystery , action , Noir , supernatural , historical and this script would work flawlessly.

Too bad this didn't live up to it's full potential , but then again this drama do has a special place for being spectacular.
If I had to redo the script , I would remove the Idol part and make it as an actor instead .
It will work better.
