you might start believing in past lives, the supernatural, and the law of karma for real...

This is a fantastic drama. Hats off to the people who came up with this plot. I haven't been so emotionally touched in a while. All the characters here were just too deep, even the evil ones. The vfx is incredible and to the point. The actors moved me with their acting beyond what words can describe. Originally I thought this would be like any other vampire story, but starting with the name Bulgasal, they adopted it and made it their own. Left me more heart- broken than happy but well if this story had an everybody lived happily ever after ending, then it would have lost the realism. It made me believe in past lives and to an extent even in the supernatural.

Yes it's dark, and melodramatic, but it's definitely very much worth the watch. Now am gonna go back to my bed and cry for a while, bye!

Elegance vs Street Smarts

So firstly, what a fantastic drama. Hats of to the entire team for coming up with such a great drama. The plot is absolutely beautiful. Key points for me
1) Love Love Love Kim Min Jae acting out his role as Jin Moo Hak who came from rags to riches. There was a certain ruggedness and cockiness to the way he carried himself. and the same could be seen in his dialogue delivery. The role was absorbed by him a 100% and left me thoroughly entertained and in love with his character. I think it's his first time as the first lead if I am not wrong and I look forward to more drama with him as the first lead. He was truly and wholesomely, a cocky prince!
2) The elegance that Park Gyu Young showed in this drama was absolutely beautiful. She carried herself with elegance even when she lost everything and in spite of the world pushing her down time and time again.
3) The chemistry between the characters was great and given the right amount of time to nurture in this drama, which as a romance drama. enthusiast, thoroughly entertained me.

So don't miss this one!

Comically Serious!

I have one word for this drama, EPIC! This short but emotion and action packed drama has probably one of the most unique story lines I have come across in a while in a Kdrama. From scenes that drive you mad with anger and frustration to absolute tear jerkers, every episode I watched kept me excited, curious, expectant and wanting more. From the main characters to the side characters, every one played such an important role in this drama and it was so full of comedy even while dealing with serious situations. The main characters fit their roles extremely well and you could tell how passionate they were from their acting skills in this drama. Chemistry was stunning. The actress was able to pull off a cute, beautiful, ugly, sexy. to drop dead gorgeous looks all in the same drama. Absolutely deserving of a Netflix original. 10/10. Must watch

The ghosts are in town

(Completed)
Probably the most unique Supernatural dramas I've watched in a while. Three pointers could probably summarise why you should watch this drama here.
1. The plot was kept unique and interesting with enough twists and turns till the end
2. The acting and action was great and perfectly to the point
3. The romance was not overdone but at the same time the chemistry was excellent.

About the action sequence, the cgi, most of you would agree with me that they were on point and nothing really seemed fake. I was drawn in and I found few or close to no flaws. It is also important that if you create a fantasy world, the rules and logic of that world must be strongly binding it together, and this plot definitely did that perfectly. This you often times see missing in Chinese fantasy or supernatural drama, where their abilities just exist and they are strong, and super powerful without logic or reason. That aside I would like to speak about the romance aspect for a bit since I am a big romance fan myself. I can tell you that even though there was no visible romance in this drama, there was very apparently visible chemistry between the two leads. It was their friendship and partnership given prominence over skin ship, that lead to the chemistry being so good. Because wether or not overpowering romance is true in this world, the probability of you naturally relying, trusting and enjoying the company of someone from the opposite sex happens a lot. Besides, if there were romantic situations created for the sake of pleasing the people, it would have definitely broken the cold, calm, and so alluring a character that Jung Na Ra gave life to. Frankly speaking, I hated most of her roles in the past, some of you might hate me for saying that but I am being honest here. But in this role she nailed it pretty damn hard. Being a short, slender, and overall a cute little bunny kinda person naturally, she must have spent good efforts to do this character so well and not let it come off as a parody instead because of her physical appearance. She was everything and more in this drama, and she betrayed all my precognitions about her.
This drama will get a fair and square 9/10 from me, in other words, definitely a must watch!

Very artificial commercial drama

(Completed) -painfully...
Honestly? the actors were great but the plot felt a little too artificial for me. I mean there was too much unnecessary stuff going on, and the fantasy element was like a pointless added gimmick here. The actress was really beautiful, loved her acting, although I disliked her artificial laugh. Many people felt the chemistry was great but to me it was half-half. Good in the beginning , forced by the end. Ultimately the plot was so lost, the chemistry didn’t matter to me anymore. It felt like they tried too hard to make this drama successful so ended up up bringing 2 or 3 previously successful plots together to make one story, sigh'...left me exhausted really. Either be cliched and bring good actors instead, or be original, wouldn't that be better overall?

A unique conncept!

Even though we have seen alien related plots before, having an alien of plant origin take human form?! Well that's new! The best part about this drama I felt was nothing in it was overdone; plot, cinematography or acting wise, it maintained its aesthetic till the end. A very graceful drama that had a lot of underlying dark plots but never let the overall vibe of the drama to sink into that darkness and instead kept itself a light-hearted watch. Acting wise I felt the story and cinematography overall was not demanding of the most professional of acting there is so the actors did a fairly good job, anywhere they lacked, the plot and cinematography made up for it. Romance was given prominence over everything else, my kinda story, and the romance was simply perfect. I always feel Chinese drama tend to drag their plots unnecessarily but this one seemed much less than usual, in fact could say it's just about right. Overall a must watch and even if its not very famous, thats only because it's underrated.

Sincerity Redefined!

Whatever the synopsis is like, let me tell you, the true essence of this drama draws on sincerity. People are hurt, betrayed and broken, but also healed by the very same people who broke them. I can tell you I didn't find many cliches in the plot; well written, a little too fast for my taste in the beginning but i also realised it was because they wanted to prioritise the story between the protagonists more. The acting was just fab, surprisingly i teared up in a side story where Chae Hyun Seung's sister proposes instead of the other way around. It makes me think back to the series FRIENDS (scene where Monica proposed to chandler) when there was priority given to love between them more than who proposed to whom. Karmic cliche scene in the end episodes but it was pretty realistic so i didn't mind. Oh by the way, the little girl cracked me up so hard so many times, she was simply so damn mature and dope af. All in all, a must watch!

Action Action & more Action

I think Lee Joon Gi pulls off hands down the best action sequences of all kdramas. Pair that with an epic plot line and the most powerful villain character and acting and you have what is called "Again my life" . It pulled me in at the first few episodes itself and somehow well connected all logical loop holes. You know you will be satisfied with action and plot watching this one as there was no bullshit about worrying about altering the future or intervening and all that crap. All most felt like I was watching an Isekai Anime too where the hero has all the cheat codes he can use to bring down the biggest nemesis of all time.

Fantasy realism

The premise might be fantasy but the topics taken up were all about the real world. Never seen anything like it before and somehow it kinda restored my faith in why I am such a big fan of Korean dramas. This drama had everything; mystery, fantasy, action, romance, you name it and it will be present in this drama. At parts this drama made me genuinely cry and I had to sit back and take a breather to calm down. But at the same time, the level of satisfaction you get from the fact that there were absolutely no loose ends left in this drama was the best part. It touched so many sensitive topics and made me have some self realisation and a reality check about the gravity of these for the first time in my life, this was probably the most important area of the drama for me which really had loving and binging this series before I knew it.
If I wished for anything more from this drama, it would just be that I wanted more episodes.
This drama left me craving for more!

Medical, disaster, action, thriller and even romance...I mean what else do you need?

This drama was pretty epic with insane plot twists and realistic acting. For me this was perfect, because of four reasons:
1) I like medical dramas
2) I like good action sequences
3) I like good realistic romance that does not disturb the main plot
4) Big fan of fictional plots especially disaster situations.

So if all these pointers are also what you are looking for, you should really go ahead and give it a watch with an open mind. All the characters were given a satisfying ending leaving practically no loose ends. Happy that there were no long and dragging "go back to the past" sequences and just enough to keep the story going. This plot made me emotional, shocked me, made me hate some characters and later rethink my hatred for them, reminded me of a disaster I've been through and yes, it was one hell of a roller coaster ride that I binged within 24 hours without having to forward much.
100% recommend watching it!

Self explanatory title

Record of youth is exactly how the title says it, a wholesome record of the journey of youths with different backgrounds, upbringings and financial statuses, but same big dreams and ambitions. Moreover since the plot took a holistic approach to the characters, there was a very honest character development there with realistic scenarios that happen in the life of people pursuing their respective professions; hence the drama felt like something that might be the story of a neighbourhood acquaintance than something fictitious happening on screen. Park Bo Gum surprised me I had to say. To me he always felt like this good looking actor with a character portrayal of freshness, naivety and innocence, but in this drama you get to see really the inner depths, struggles, anxieties, frustrations, self-doubt, betrayal, anguish, loneliness, so many different shades that made his act probably the most suitable for this character over all. Other than him all the actors did a fabulous job overall playing their characters. I also liked that the friendship was so honest and didn't disappear into some dark cliches of jealousy and betrayal. Whatever they felt, wether envy or pride, they talked about it openly like good best friends do and thats another reason why I felt like this was a neighbourhood story. They also tried to show friendship beyond financial status and real understanding of each other according to how the modern world works rather than open cliche discrimination like in those old dramas. By the way, who else thought Shine Ae Ra was hot in this drama 😋? Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this drama and highly recommend it!

See what happens when a bad man and his crazy alter-ego join forces!

This is one crazy good drama and it reminds me of Fight Club. I always thought Lee Dong Wook's chosen dramas lacked good plot lines but with this one he just nailed it. He tried to add a little flair with his dialogue delivery and acting in this drama which actually seems to be working for me, not to mention how handsome he looks. The contrasting, sarcastic and hilarious dialogue delivery and tonality reminded me of how much I liked the same about Kim Min Jae in 'Dali and the Cocky Prince'. The contrast of the split personalities are really well shown by casting Wi Ha Joon and of course, he is a terrific actor himself so there is a really good tug of war chemistry between the. two personalities which was absolutely needed for this drama.

Personally, I'd also add a romance tag here, coz well that kiss scene right there was too good for this not to be considered a romance. For me in a suspense drama no matter how serious it is, i require there to be some romance in there for me to be satisfied and I think that thirst was quenched. :P

Just finished episode 8 now and I can tell the upcoming episodes will be entering into the dark side with some heart wrenching stories to the boot....perfect don't you think!

All in all, you'll miss out on a really really good plot and drama if for some strange reason, you decide not to watch this one. I am eagerly waiting for the next episodes.

Historic Modern Man

The summary kinda takes you away from the main idea of the drama which is simple, "what if", a modern day man with modern day thought process, values, and scientific mindset is reborn into history itself, still preserving his values and memories from his previous life. The best part probably about this drama is that looks were not given as much importance as the plot of this drama & the acting itself. If I say anything else I'd be ruining the drama so to briefly summarise, you really can't miss this one!

Decent action-romance plot after a long, long time!

A decent action-romance plot after a long, long time. Looking at the comments though I think its really under-rated coz I believe this was probably one of the best military-action-romance plots out there and everything about the story followed the right logic in a balanced sensible manner. Acting was to the point where every character suited their roles perfectly. I have been following Li Qin well recently and I gotta say she is one of the top chinese actresses out there, with realistic acting approach and of course, really beautiful. This drama had significantly grown its value through her casting. Unnecessarily dragged yes, but that's always been my problem with chinese drama, and this series was among the few chinese drama that I completed despite that, which just shows how great this show was. Some of the scenes were so emotional that they brought tears to my eyes, which is rare with me for chinese drama coz I often find them a little artificial emotions wise, especially the last few episodes. And I love a good military strategical drama and although this wasn't all there on the strategy point of view, sometimes even a little boring so i had to skip through, the action sequences and romance quenched that thirst instead. Overall your missing out on a really great drama if you skip this one.

Looks can be deceiving

I watched a Jdrama after a long long time, and I couldn't be more glad that I watched this lovely, light hearted Rom-Com drama. Probably the best plots I have come across in a while, although cliched still, very well directed, enough to make it original. Also I loved the fact that two things have been specifically emphasised in this. drama. "Looks can be decieving", & "Never change who you are and your originality to impress the world". Among the few Jdramas that has an actual romantic plot and doesn't depict romance as only sex.
