One of the most beautiful love story ever written based on historical events and some added fiction.

Watching Princess' Man will kind of remind you of Romeo & Juliet but with more angst and heartbreak. The story starts off pretty light with a lot of good feels or moments between our leads Se-Ryung and Seung Yoo. But the drama will immediately shift its tone to a more dark, complex story line that will keep our hero and heroine apart. I do admit that this show caused me tons of heartache.. like really a lot of heartache as I feel for both the leads and the supporting cast and how painful the situation they are in. But at the same time it also maked me think like "wow, this is really true love - deep, unconditional and everlasting". And I feel extremely fortunate to be able to witness the beautiful love story of Se Ryung and Seung Yoo.

Every episode will keep you at the edge of your seat and the music is wonderful (Destino is one of my fav score in this drama).

Let me conclude this review by saying: Real love comes when we know how to forgive. It comes when even in difficult times, we still say I love you and I want to be with you ♡

I'll be the brave soul out here that will dare to say that I love this movie better than the 1st.

1. Cast
i think most of the issue here is comparing Ayame (2014) vs Mone (2019). I do agree that visual wise, Ayame is totally on a different level. But looking at the story perspective, don't you guys think that it will be more believable to have an average visual Aoi especially on this 2nd movie? If the new leading lady is a pretty as Ayame, I don't think that Reon will have any chance of saying that it was unbelievable for Shuu to date someone like Aoi. Imagine him saying that to Ayame. (HOW DARE HIM LMAO).

Yusuke vs Kento, I don't think that this should be too much of an issue as both did a good job on their role (both have great visual). Tho I've noticed that there's a slight difference on how they portrayed the character. Kento gives you a Shuu that's more edgy & aloof while Yusuke gives off a calm, charismatic vibe. I think, the story definitely played a factor here cos in the 1st movie, it was mainly about the push & pull between the lead characters (the chase), while in the 2nd movie, Shuu was already in love to the lead girl.

2. Character development
Reon is a better "villain" than the bitch "Satsuki". Why? Because in here, we can see Reon's motivation of wanting to bring back Shuu cos he thinks that he's the best guy for the job. But upon realizing that Shuu is out of commission (cos he has other priority), he has no choice but to step up and bring his A game, which he has been preparing for ever since (as we can see he was already reading business presentations). The guy only needed a little push cos he is insecure about himself.. On the other hand, Satsuki is totally unrelatable, a one dimensional character who's only motivation is her obsession of Shuu. We also never saw any development on her character... she just pretty much disappeared towards the end??? A pretty boring villain for me.

Overall, I did like this better than the first. The new cast isn't really a major issue for me as the execution on the story as well as character development was done properly.
