No, no, and no.

The show holds up until the fifth episode, then it's a total disaster. Long story short, save your time.

[SPOILER ALERT]

All the characters make a 180° turn up at one point, totally out of nowhere.
○ His crush confesses he's in love with him, but Ko Mu Yeong holds the lie of a fake boyfriend because he thinks Seon Ho is dating PD Lee. Like, what?
○ Han Joon Seok has already a weird relationship with his fiancée, letting her down many times to catch up with his best friend. Then, he kisses Mu Yeong to create jealousy, when instead he wants to kiss him. And finally, he becomes even more selfish, asking for Mu Yeong to take care of him after the incident.
○ Yoona (poor girl, I feel so sorry for her) has every right to be pissed off, but the threaten to outing her ex bf shocked me.
○ Shin Seon Ho was a cinnamon roll and I fell in love with him immediately, but then he begged Mu Yeong to leave his boyfriend to get with him. And in the end he also gives him an ultimatum between himself and the friend. I get he's pissed, but that's a bit overdramatic.

People in real life is selfish, however I think that's too much even for real people. But wait, there's more:
Mu Yeong confesses he has lied to Seon Ho for days, and Seon Ho only reacts saying he was pretty hurt. Man, he should have lost the trust in him. And here they had to "force" the "break up". Apparently, he's so in love he's okay to be treated like shit.

Then, when the hell do Mu Yeong and Seon Ho become boyfriends? Again, out of nowhere.

Last question: Korea, are you okay?

Cuties

These three are such cuties.
Go Ho Jung [Jungwoo] looks nice with those glasses, and his voice is warm and clear while narrating us the adventure that brought back Choco and Milk to his character.

It's interesting that the two tests Choco and Milk need to pass are set in a golden and black environment, I wonder if there's a hidden meaning.

When Ho Jung finishes to read the story, also Lee Jae Bin [Choco] and Kim Seong Hyeok [Milk] appear. The three are extremely cute and nice ❤️ also, when KSH asks for Ho Jung to hug him as well, my heart melted.

The special is just four minutes, but the chemistry and cuteness of these three are worth every second.

A nice surprise

This series came almost secretly and I was not very convinced after watching the trailer. I saw it because they released the 6 episodes one after the other. I made a great choice. Korea rarely disappoints. ❤

STORY & CHARACTERS
The plot was original, and also the way they carried on the love "triangle". We had not the usual hot actors as the main couple, but they were very cute around each other: this shows that you don't need the prettiest actors to make the viewers fall in love with them. ? The girls were interesting and central in the plot, finally.

I love that they often put a maxim that encloses everything at the end of the series, and leaves a pearl to hang in your room ?
We had three beautiful and deep speech in just one episode: Namjun+Ji Woo, Ro A+Namjun, Ro A+her boss at the surf café. Amazing.

WHAT I LIKED MORE
The originality and the way Ji Woo slowly falls in love with Ro A little attentions. He senses the senior is caring for him and falls for him. AND, he keeps fighting for this love even when Ro A suddenly runs away from it, in an extreme attempt to protect him.

WHAT I DISLIKED
Come on, Korea, such a nice show and you give us only 6 episodes? Wish it was longer. Not a lot, just like the classic 8 episodes we usually have in Korea BLs would have been enough...

A masterpiece

The few characters and basically two settings (inside and outside the house, if we exclude their home in Bangkok in episode1) gave the perfect vibes of a theatrical piece.

The story is totally original for a BL (to be fair, this is not a BL in its pure essence): a son with a complex relationship with his mom and a strong love for the dead dad finds his way to the exact longitude and latitude of the one friend of his parents that knows the truth about their family secret.

The acting was pure masterclass. Even Pond (the actor playing Wang) is extremely stunning, despite the young age. The other two actors have great performances too. The feelings were so real you could touch them.

The music and the OST (sung by Pond) are pretty on point, and start at the exact time to fill the silence and accompany the feeling.

Despite the bitter finale (which I find realistic and maybe even the best one to conclude the show), I'd love to rewatch it because the performances were undeniably awesome and the topics were important and well-discussed.

It kinda stops 100m before the finish line

I liked it more until episode 6, the last two episodes feel somehow different from the rest.

The story was cute and simple (in a positive connotation) and I like they were both shy in their relationship. Still don't understand why they didn't keep in touch during the year off, which lead for sure to a jealous Yanase and a confused Kaneda.

When Kaneda called his senpai Jun I collapsed ♡ it was so emotional! They finally talked!

I adore that the final scene is connected with the outro of the episodes ♡

To conclude: I liked it, but I feel like it stopped 100m before the finish line. Everything was good, but when they needed to close, they lacked courage and the ending was softer than we expected. Not necessarily because of the non-kiss.

Perfect ♡

I was mesmerised by the strong power of this short show. The plot is smooth, the acting natural and the chemistry gorgeous. The plot is original and realistic, especially the characters. The gazes between them melted me.

The story leaves a deep melancholy in the background, a longing to something that fills the void in the chest ♡ we know that this feeling will pass, but right now is heaving in our chest and cuts our breath.

I'll definitely come back to re-watch this little gem :)

They had done everything perfect...

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS
I liked the story: it was fresh, original, outside of school/university walls. A casual chaotic meeting that was written in the stars. Or in the ocean ;)

ENDING
Are you crazy? That was a total waste! I believe that Korea loves to separate their main lead to get them together again with a kiss by the ocean on the very last minute of the show... it's the third time I see it, and it's getting annoying. Plus, here, it felt unnecessary.

CHARACTERS
Ba Da was such a shy cutie, and Tommy was the match that woke him up. They are just a perfect couple. So Yeong was super annoying at first, but then she grew in empathy and helped Ba Da understand hia feelings for Tommy.

SCENERY
Photography is 10/10 to me. The ocean views, but also the shots of that road along the coast, everything was amazing. Also the indoors and the market scene.

OST
"You are my ocean" will be stuck for a long while in my heart. It is very beautiful and captivating, and the fact that describes Ba Da and Tommy relationship is just perfect.

Too many unnatural things

I've watched until episode 4 and I'm dropping it.
Honestly, I was so happy to see Kim and Copter again, but the story lacks of coherence and realism to me. The plot was good: an established relationship with some couple problems (and that's very original in a BL) but the writers have added a lot of trash, awkward situations, the magical world of the candyman that spreads in the hospital (the scene in episode 4 with the nurses saying abracadabra was the last straw to me)... too much!

I wanted to go on because of the actors and because I was interested in the side couple, but too many things are uncoherent and don't add nothing to the show, like those long silent scenes where nothing happens.

I hope this will get better for the ones who want to watch it till the end. <3
Perhaps I will watch how it ends once it's all aired - if reviews will turn good - but it's a NO for me now :(

Nekoyashiki-kun desires to BE RECOGNISED

I'm rewatching this, and I just realised that the reason I didn't like it the first time is what makes me like it now.
The plot doesn't revolve around the romance but around two persons who love and care for each other, who struggle with problems related to work, family and colleagues.
After all, the title already says it: "Nekoyashiki-kun desires to be recognised", not 'desires to find love', or 'desires his crush to love him back'.

During my first watch, I wanted the romance between the two mains, and I felt robbed. But now, rewatching it without the urge of the romance to happen, I'm enjoying it much more. And it's a good BL ??

Loved it, but we need better subtitles

I'll start by saying that the subtitles in this suck! But like, a lot. They aren't always at the right time, and often they are mixed with the following lines. And the pronouns are more wrong than right...
That said (you probably think I hated this, well not at all), I suggest you to watch it!

Unlike what usually happens in some BLs (great start and poor ending), here it was the opposite. The idea was good, the first episodes not that much. But once the romance part starts, everything improves!
We have jerk villains, imperfect boyfriends and realistic couples. And that touch of drama that keeps the comedy going.

This show was a little gem to me :)
I really liked it! You should give it a chance.
And the main couple, EarthBank ❤️ is currently one of my favourite couples!

Can we ask for more?

The concept was original and interesting, it leads to darker tones.
Developing it a series or a longer film would allow the main characters to develop or we could understand better their past and their thoughts.

SungWoo is an interesting character, with a devastating family history. If the new boy is the 11th, SungWoo probably repeated the brother reunion act many times. I understand his want to stay out from home.

The dad is interesting too. He obviously is selfish, leaving his son with the desolate pieces of his wife, but he kept looking for actors?, boys grown up in orphanage?, whoever wants a family?, to play the part of the brother that came back. Where did he go (or why) is not known.

SungKyu is the most difficult to understand, hence the ask for a longer version. If I get his crave for a family and a mom, it's interesting how he relates with SungWoo. I'd have done everything to make him like me, while SungKyu even threaten to out him to his parents. Apparently he's attracted by SungWoo too (they have an extraordinary sexual tension is such a short time), but the end left us wondering. He's a nobody, okay. But why that painting, emotionless face in the last scene?

Intriguing but confusing

It would be a perfect pilot: they sorta presented the characters and the situation they find themselves in, and the confusion is added to mix.
But... it seems this would be the one and only episode, so it kinda has the most open ending of the story, especially since we don't understand what truly happened and why they are all dead.

The acting is okay, but with 20 minutes the actors had barely warmed up. The girl was the only one I didn't know, so it was a nice surprise. I loved Jake Hsu in Trapped and I craved to see him here, but the length of the episode isn't helping. Same story for Shih Chih Tian; it's refreshing to see him in a different role from We Best Love, but I'd liked more than 20 minutes to appreciate it.

I'd like to see more... who knows if we'll get it

Original and intriguing

I really liked the originality in the plot, it's not this usual to watch a character with mental struggles, especially with DID.

Wu Zheng is perfect ♡ he falls in love with Yu Shi, wants to help him and tries to understand both personalities, not running away from Noah for example but accepting him too and trying to befriend him.

It's a shame this has only 4 short episodes: it could have developed very well, and I could never stop watching them being happy and in love ♡

In episode 4 it was difficult to distinguish the different timelines, but at the end you understand the whole plot.

I'll rewatch this for sure: it's very short and the actors have a GREAT chemistry. Also, some lines will stay in my heart forever ♡
