Don't compare, just enjoy.

I honestly enjoyed this.
The monsters were interesting (and sometimes even funny). The plot was well executed but you do need to keep in mind that though this is an adaptation of the manhwa/webtoon that doesn't mean it'll be the same scene by scene. This had in a way more depth than it's comic version. You feel a lot closer to each character. But you can watch this without knowing anything about the original webtoon.

Also, need to say I'm a fan of gore so if you get queasy at the sight of blood then you should probably stay away from this...

The CGI was obvious most of the time but in a way that you didn't really care. The story and acting sucked you in and the rest just looked cool or something along those lines ^.^
(also actors/actresses were really pretty so it was easy on the eyes ...Unless you count the monsters... and the blood... Actually, this was pretty rough on the eyes... The PEOPLE in this were pretty?)
Loved the stunts! Everything looked so real! I can just imagine the fun they had filming this.

It was so easy to watch that I accidentally on purpose binge watched this (the whole season) <3
But that can also just be because I was already familiar with the story and waited for this.
There were some funny easter eggs included for the fans. The music was rather random but I suppose it matched the mood.

I'm not entirely sure because my memory is sh*t but I feel like they created new characters for this but please don't trust me on that... The story was definitely different (slightly?).

To those that hate to watch stuff online for free (totally illegally) then your in luck.
You can find the whole season on Netflix.

Anyway definitely recommend this! Have fun~

Whether you like this or not depends entirely on you-

I really like it. Sure, I get what people are talking about.
The plot was superficial and something seen before, but this had a way more realistic feel than other similar ones.

The way the actors portrayed their characters and the way the characters themselves behaved (or were written to behave?) was believable.
I mean, if this was possible and happened in real life, I do think the good guys would enjoy the small moments in between the whole saving the world adventure. Things most of the time would not go the way they planned. And they would have to bloody their hands a bit too. The fact that this was slow-paced and happened within a week or two only made this all the more enjoyable, at least for me.

Also loved the fact that there wasn't that much dialogue between a few of the characters.
Seon Hwa (Lee Sung Min), Cheong Seok (Nam Da Reum) & Ae Ran (Kim Yoo Jung)
There were a few plot twist I DID NOT see coming which is rare for someone that has seen as many shows as I have. I'm really glad I stumbled upon this small gem.

If you want to watch action or thriller then maybe save this for another day, but if you're just bored or wish to kick back and relax, then sure, push play and snack on some popcorn.

Never have I even imagined a drama with a main character who keeps being the first witness to peoples demise...
It did get a bit ridiculous but in a good and funny way. Like the way he stalled for time or the way he always got blamed. Truly cringe-worthy.
The detective part of the series was rather cliche but still very entertaining and in all honestly you can't really go wrong with a Japanese detective story line.
The lead not being a cop or a detective or something of the short but just a model trying not to get locked up, was a nice change.
I did figure out the ending plot quit quickly but then again I don't thing they tried to make it much of a mystery anyway. The real mystery of this series were the individual cases in every episode. The way the crimes were committed and more importantly why.
I also enjoyed the side characters colorful personalities and the actors confidence while playing them. I never felt like their acting was awkward.
Also Shimon Toma's (Furukawa Yuki's) unusual hair totally made it hard for me not to laugh, though he did pull it off very well :) And watching Maneki Kei (Tamamori Yuta) kept reminding me about his earlier "tantei" drama; Seishun tantei haruya XD
Forgetting all the typical Japanese drama characters and twists this had a fresh feeling to it.
Overall it was a very light and easy watch.
I recommend you watch this sometime.
Really good for those boring days you want to watch something but just don't want to concentrate too hard.

It took me 2 days to complete.
It would have taken a day normally but I found this at night and didn't want to pull another all-nighter, so, I did the responsible thing and slept!
Just warning all those other marathon watchers! ;)

I stumbled upon this by accident and was pleasantly surprised!
The feel of the movie and its premise was refreshing.
I can't say I've seen a lot of Hong Kong movies like this...

At first I was a bit sceptical about this, especially the plot and the characters age cap (Not that it's ever actually mentioned in the movie).
I was afraid this would simply end up as one of those stockholm syndrome movies but it didn't (not in my mind anyway).
The way it was filmed and the location was really beautiful and the story was in it's own way believable (except that they trained his voice that fast).
I loved how I couldn't predict Yung's train of thought or actions <3
After you've seen as many "dramas" as I have, everything ends up being quite predictable so you learn to appreciate those characters that are so normal and tender you don't know what to expect. You just zone out and watch.
I also liked the music in this and the weird scenes it brought with it.
I'm usually very sensitive to cringe worthy scenes but surprisingly I was okay with everything in this, even the weird dance thing...
The reason I gave this sort of high ratings is because I simply enjoyed this, I didn't skip or anything and I'll probably end up rewatching this again someday.

I really recommend watching this if you're bored and aren't in the mood for using your head.
I'm not calling this simple... but, yes, that's what this was...
A simple movie you can enjoy!

I LOVED this movie...
Okey there were scenes that were really cliche and made to look very unrealistic, to the point where I laughed at its stupidy BUT those scenes were few and lasted only a few seconds.
Going into this movie I was already prepared for these cliche scene as are everyone who has watched chinese fantasy/action movies.
Meaning there were a lot of jumps that no human could do XD
But I LOVED the characters personalities and their little quirks.
The music wasn't over the top or played too loudly, which was a nice change. Gave a good mood to the film.
The story was similar to other tomb/mummy movies though this was a lot lighter and easier to watch ....Minus the disgusting creatures -_-'
It was a nice change that they weren't forcefully locked inside the tomb but walked in themselves which gave a feeling of the characters having a little control over the sh*t that was happening around them.
There was also a nice hint of bromance ?•?
And I LOVED how they tied up the ending but still left a lot for the audience to imagine.

Overall enjoyed this and I'll definitely watch this again.

Such an amazing movie...
So heartbreaking...

Okay I know it'll seems crazy to people how I rated this so high thinking it's a movies from 2005,
but honestly there has always been something about father-son movies that just does it for me.

Once I watched this one word came to mind: Classic.
It's a classic tale of a son finding his long lost father while the father, who at the time is a huge scum, slowly turns into a father we all wished we had.
Sounds cliche I know, but for some reason this felt like something more than a cliche.
I absolutely loved the movies slow, yet on point plot that left me crying.
The music fit well with the theme, though I do have to confess I wasn't paying attention to it as much as I probably should have...
The acting was a bit awkward at the beginning and I found it hard not to stare at Seo In Kwon's (Lee In Sung) tooth that was sticking out but all in all it played out nicely.

I highly recommend people to watch this.
It's a beautiful, heartbreaking movie that makes you feel glad you watched it,
but at the same time you probably won't rewatch this.
This is a movie that drains you.

I at least am happy to have been on this journey with these characters but if you're a person who can't watch movies that are slow paced or that don't have a "reward" at the end (other than your emotions), then this is not a movie for you.

When/If you're watching this then I suggest you watch this a few hours before you go to bed, in your own comfy bubble. <3
Hope my review helped ;)
