Is This Where I Put My Resume?



Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Victoria. Everyone calls me Vic. I'm 19 years old. I'm a sophomore in college, and also an aspiring director/producer/editor. Whatever, honestly I would just love to be involved in creating some visual masterpiece that I can present to the world. My favorite movie of all time is Memoirs of a Geisha. That movie inspired me in a vast number of ways; from my career choice to my to my interest in asian culture. 


I started watching Kdramas around 2006. Actually the first one I'd ever seen was Goong: Princess Hours, which is why it's in my top five favorite dramas. Well, not the only reason why, but there's an attachment to it that I can't quite explain. It's far from the best drama out there, but it holds a lot of memories as the beginning of my asian drama *~*~*~*journey~*~*~*.
I love melo-drama~ which turns up in Kdramas a lot, often too much and tipping the scales of balance sometimes, I know. Nevertheless, I enjoy it. Even when their themes come off as extremely repetitive. It's like someone retelling an old childhood story over and over again but in a different version/way every time. 
In all honestly, I actually prefer and enjoy watching mediocre dramas with shallow plots too. Whether it's just for the sake of romance or whatever. I like it because I'm not here to get an extra dosage of reality. I want cliches and the rest of the typical drama works. So i guess you can call me a "chick flick junkie". Doesn't mean I won't judge it harshly though because if you don't at least try to aim for originality and maintain some substance I'll be disappointed.

    haha I'm glad you liked it, Queen Seon Duk is one of the better saeguks out there with one of the best villain characters ever too and a strong woman to boot :)

    Hi KTJ. Sorry for the long delay in replying I disappeaed because life got very busy. I wouldn;t compare Dae Mul to city Hall, because City Hall is a bit lighter on the politics side and far more romantic in the end. Dae Mul is more friendship-based throughout, it focuses a lot on the politics and the struggles of the woman on her way to becoming president. It's heavy on political lobbying, so if it's not your thing you may be annoyed with it. what have you been watching these days?

    I haven;t seen Suzy in anything. I never managed to watch Big because it was terribe. Oh yes winter that wind blows sounded poetic too. I was wondering about Flower Boy Next Door. Queen of ambition I heard it's too makjangy and doesn't compare to daemul at all- and I liked daemul. Yeah, I wonder how;s that going to go down for LSG, though- the man fated to be connected with gumihos lol. Well, not entirely, but he is prottey fitting to play "princely" roles.

    Hi! How have you been? Yes, but not until they finish airing. I don;t particularly like waiting for episodes. I am curious about Incarnation from money since it comes from a solid team of scriptwrters whi wrote two dramas I really enjoyed. And there;s ..guga Medical book, I will check it out once it airs as i;m curious about Lee Seung Ki being a male gumiho. What about you?

    I am so afraid of horror...but sometimes I go to the theatre to watch a horror movie and scream it out with my crazy friends...but we end up closing our eyes when a creepy part comes :P
