An unusual and controversial female lead
I think the highlight of the drama is Zheng Shuyi’s contradictory character- she is someone who is smart and accomplished at work but is very bad at personal relationships. Her job is being a reporter and she crafts these excellent interviews and articles but when it comes to articulating what is important in her relationship or how to cherish it she is absolutely horrible. She has a low EQ AND THE person dating is reserved and non communicative but has a very high EQ and is very caring.It’s amazing how she has this inner narrative through out the show but then does exactly the opposite in reality . This creates a weird dynamic between the lead character and makes the show a fascinating watch. I really loved how well Bai Lu played this character- it was very interesting and frustrating to watch . Dylan Wang played his role very well and their chemistry was beautiful - very intuitive I will definitely rewatch this one again.

So it looks like someone deleted my review because it was negative. So I am writing it again. This is an abnormal romance. The FL belongs in a psychiatric clinic. She needs some major therapy. The ML did not owe her anything . Don’t even know the logic behind this story. I dropped it at 16 because I could not take the toxic love story with stalking, harassment and some pathological concepts. I got a lot of hate for making that’s comments but this is the reality of this story. This is not normal at all - yet it is getting an almost 8 rating . Not sure for what that rating is . I guess if it’s hot and heavy no one cares what the story is about.Was this review helpful to you?
Love and Shine no matter how the snow is falling!
One of the best dramas of this year. This drama really brought back the sweet memories of our own relationship beginnings and a lot of us wished to go back to our younger days when we experienced this.Love and shine no matter how the snow is falling is a great anthem for this drama. Very refreshing and beautiful story. The leads were wonderful but Leo Wu was fantastic as Lin Yi Yang, a layered deep character with a hint of darkness. He pretty much drove this story.
I also really loved Zhao Jinmai’s portrayal of Yin Guo as the innocent, protected girl but yet independent and determined. The music and the production was very beautiful. I don’t have anything negative to say about this drama.
The thing that struck me the most was how refreshingly normal this relationship was the ML and FL were equals, did what they loved and showed their love for each other in a very honest way. They both nurtured each other and grew through the relationship. LYY finding his direction and his way back to snooker was very well done.
Even the friendship between LYY, MXD and JY was done well and really cracked me up. MXD was the funniest of the lot of-course.

An Empty vessel
This drama could have been better but it’s just boring and blah. There is no story here. Yes there are many dramas about th couple fall in love but they had substance. This one not so much. The ML is far too good to be cast in this drama and all the FL does is smile and eat. They both just smile at each other and talk about mundane stuff . How much can you watch this for 33 episodes. There is nothing going on there. The FL is a woman child and there is nothing interesting about her. The ML is too mature for her - there is absolutely no character development nothing. Just weightless fluff. I usually don’t dig such stories and I am officially doneWas this review helpful to you?
