Wasted potential.

I don’t judge a book by its cover. The cover is the reviews I read before watching this. It turned out that I should have. Honestly, the main reason I started watching this is Our Sky 2, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to me. I can barely tolerate this show…Was is created on a rush or something? I can not percieve this drama as a romance. Romance? Where did you see any sign of romance? Dao is the pivot around which everything turns here…This drama should have been named after Dao only. I used not to have high expectations from Thai dramas, but it has changed after I watched “A tale of thousand stars”, “the eclipse’’, “my school president”, ‘’Vice Versa’’ and other dramas that really captured my whole attention. THIS ONE IS JUST A COMPLETE MESS, but I felt responsible to plug away. Kluens favorite word ‘’nonsense’’ best describes this drama, so I decided to watch it at 1.5x speed.

Why does everyone have to fall in love with Dao? What are support roles are here for? Dao’s friends are here to meet their families so Dao could stay alone and had a chance to spend his time with Kluen. I couldn’t feel their friendship here. I didn’t feel anything at all. Who is Dao? A guy who is always lazy, but everyone has to get along with his unbearable personality. His character didn’t develop at all. He turns Kluen down, then goes to him and demands not to run to Gia, when she really needed Kluen. What is this if not selfisheness? Kluen told him how important Gia was to him, but Dao didn’t even give a shit about it. “YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE’’. THEY WERE NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP, WHAT CHOICES ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?’’.

I don’t get Phoon. His behaviour is egoistical to me: “I did that to trigger Dao’s feelings. I don’t want to be a loser”. WOULD A LOVING PERSON SAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS?

Kluen..His character is better than the others, although I wouldn’t call him reasonable either. What’s the incentive for not telling about his break-up with Gia and then getting jealous seeing Dao with someone else, trying to kiss him all of a sudden. I liked his short, but meaningful answers, he was not talkative, was more into observing people and actually DOING SOMETHING. Phoon asked Dao to give him one day for taking care of him and showing his true feelings. WHAT DID HE DO? NOTHING. In fact, he was not able to take care of Dao, because the latter agreed to give him that “one day’’ just to spite Kluen. “I gave him a payback”. The toxicity in every word uttered in this drama is suffocating.

Also PAPENG WHO INEXORABLY ASKS FOR CHANCES…But..Here I get the point. “Nobody likes to be rejected. I can’t do the same to her, because I know how it feels like (I don’t remember his quotes precisely, but here’s the point”. Yeah, gotta say that there was a moment I really liked: Phoon asked Dao to choose between mountains and sea, and it was obvious that the choice was not about locations, but 2 people.

The plot is a total horseshit. If only I could make such a mess and solve my problems leaving for Germany…
The support roles exist because it Is crucial for making a drama, that’s it. A side couple appeared for an instant (Dao’s brother and some fellow bumping into each other), but yeah, of course we don’t need to see what happens to them, because the drama is about one and only Dao.

The chemistry…I have already noted that ‘’romance’’ and “Star and Sky: Star in my mind” are antonyms. There’s no such thing as chemistry, but, frankly, the cast is well-chosen, the actors are good looking. Alas, this drama is wasted. 2.5/10

the best bl drama in 2023.

I’m from a country where discrimination against the LGBT community is rife, and even though queer people aren’t exposed to lifelong imprisonment or banishment, they face lots of troubles here and are forced to get psychiatric treatment. They don’t have a chance to demonstrate, celebrate Pride Month, in brief, they don’t have a right to exist here at all.
This is not the first time I see Pride Parade or any manifestation of Pride Month celebration in Thai dramas, Nevertheless, some queer people in Thailand are still afraid to come out, because society can be judgemental, people won’t accept it. This causes self-escapism. Some people are scared of who they are and reluctant to admit their sexuality. But I’m so glad they can go public and at least holds each others hands. At times I ask myself “What If it happened in my country, where some people are ready to kill for being gay? It’s outrageous, especially when I realise that those murderers claim that they’re righteous in word and in deed, and they just were punishing the wicked?” Punishing. For love. That’s the most heinous act I can ever think of.
That’s what Piseang’s storyline was about, and it is magnificent! He married Pear according to their parents will. On top of that he couldn’t accept his sexuality, and that marriage was a hopless attempt to steer clear of who he really was. The way his emotions, feelings and thoughts were depicted in his eyes when he was standing in front of the Gay Bar and couldn’t go inside is just captivating! Absolutely loved it! Our surroundings will never accepts us, if we don’t accepts ourselves first. Sometimes after self-acceptance we stop giving a fuck of what other people may think. Nonetheless, parental support is essential and I liked the scene when Piseang was crying when he felt like his mother wasn’t okay with his choice.
Some things would never change and indeed, doesn’t matter how powerful we are to control the time, some things will always stay beyond our authority. I liked the notion, really! This drama was also about taking risks. Nothing ventured, noting gained. It was impossible for Kawi to save his father’s life, but at least they bit the bullet and did the surgery. Leaving this life with no regrets, especially for the things we left undone, right?
It was about living in the now. I liked it when Kawi stopped using the ball when he got together with Piseang and forgot about travelling to the future. He decided to go with the flow, because finally he was happy with the person he loved.
In truth, I thought I had a lot to say, but I stuck here. This journey was amazing. Color patterns and overall cinematography were breathtaking, GMMTV’s plots have improved recently!
I haven’t watched SOTUS yet I don’t know how it feels like to see Krist with Gawin, when people used to pair him up with Singto, but I liked them!
I really liked Pear. Her storyline was compelling. Her character was unusally reasonable and unique compared to some other girl characters we had in Thai bl dramas. I liked it when she stayed level-headed and accepted the fact that Piseang didn’t have feelings for her. She was mature enough to set boundaries with people who surrounded her and never actually offend them (She didn’t accept Kawis feelings, made it clear for him that she couldn’t be more than a friend. She did the same with Not). Furthermore, she was never full of herself, although she knew that so many boys had an eye on her.
I was afraid that Piseang’s and Pear’s parents would try to marry them because of the close-knit relationships their families had, but, fortunately, we didn’t have to go through this unnecessary drama, which is a cliche actually.
Its significant that the crystal ball’s power ran off when they were reassured once again that the only right decision was staying together, just like Kawi said “Being his and belonging one another is the only true decision”.
Also I liked it when Piseang didn’t have any other answer for “Why do you love someone like me?” besides “You’re cute”. NARAAK MAAAAK.
its such a bummer that I lack words to describe something I really like, so I will just say khawp khun maak maak for BMF!

I prefer to write reviews beforehand, right after each 2 episodes (keep updating) so I don’t forget the impressions I get while watching and make sure I pay attention to everything that matters to me. I eventually reached my hands to watch this and I was partially prepared to emotional damage and nervous breakdown. I knew from the start that there’s way too much toxicity in this drama, nonetheless I’m already colorblind and intoxicated, so I gave this a shot.

“I am the one who spoiled him, but I do that to make him mine and mine only”.
“ - Do you still think I’m looking for someone else? - if you are, I’ll do the same”.
What is this? I call this possessiveness, lack of trust, retaliation, obsession, selfishness. Itt kept asking for cakes thinking that Day has to put off everything to buy cakes for him. Every time they fought over a cake I hoped that Itt would admit his mistake after, but he just didn’t. As far as I am concerned, he wasn’t upset because he didn’t get his cake. He was afraid, that Day stopped loving him and every little thing such as not buying cakes, made him doubt Days feelings, inasmuch as HE HAD TO BE THE PRIORITY for him. Day spoiled Itt to attach to himself even tighter: “when he wants something, he always thinks of me first’’. I still have to contemplate if this is a trust issue or a fear of losing a loved one.

The accident served Itt right. I pamper a hope, that both of them will change after it, cause Itt is intolerable. When he felt guilty for what happened to Day, I thought that he would slowly change his attitude, but damn, he started cursing Day for not loving him anymore, without even taking into account his condition and the fact, that he had fucking amnesia and wasn’t the person he used to be. It is so childish. I will go on watching, because there’s something I like about it.

I don’t like the cinematography here. In my point of view, color schemes are poorly chosen. Sometimes colors create atmosphere and certain emotional state, when actors can’t do it, because of unskilled acting. I am quite perceptive to colors and being exposed to color patterns helps me neglect actors crappy acting. When actors fail, I pay attention to visual storytelling. Everybody knows, that filmmakers use this advantage, but I don’t see it here. It’s an essential skill for me. I was surprised to learn that this drama was made in 2023, because I thought it aired in 2016-17. I put the blame on editing and poor production for this.

Furthermore, I get it that actors have to be dressed according to their character, but its vital to make sure that their clothes are indeed suitable for them. I felt cringe all over my body when I saw Kamol in a white suit and yellow sunglassess. I want to omit the hat he had on…It didn’t compliment his outfit whatsoever, he looked like a street thug, not a mafia boss.
And the tight pants..They don’t look good on them at all, especially on Gear, he is so damn skinny. The mentality “if it zips, it fits” has to be eradicated.
Their outfits not only have to fit them, but also the place they are in at that moment. I don’t think that Kim had to be dressed up like that just to visit a patient at the hospital. Am I being too judgemental here?
Moreover, I think that the actors wear too many accessories here. They aren’t always necessary to emphasize someone’s social status. In a word, whats wrong with the designer here?

There’s something I noticed, but I don’t have bad feelings about it. I feel like I’m in an omegaverse world. This reminds me of a fanfic I was really into. Actually, I feel this way when there are gay couples all around in a drama, haha.

After watching few more episodes I am really sure now that their relationships lack trust. Before the accident when a guy approached Itt and offered him a drink trying to flirt with him, Day didn’t even let Itt explain himself and said “I didn’t ask anything”. I think, at that moment he was sure that Itt would never cheat on him and leave for another guy, because he spoiled him enough to be assured Itt couldn’t live without him. Shit, he just wanted to be the power in their realtionship. After the accident Day, a person who trusts nobody, became possessive of Itt and doubted everyone around him. I don’t even understand whether he treats him as a property or started falling for him already, because Itt endures everything (“Give me a foot massage, take me to the toilet, get down on your knees and so on”).
At times I feel that Itt has changed drasticly, but he disappointed me..LIke why the hell was it necessary to appear from nowhere on Days road? What would happen if Day couldn’t hit the brakes on time? I understand that he intended to stop Day, he was worried about him, but what the fuck? After this spur-of-a-moment decision he has the guts to accuse Day in laying his hands on him? In my opinion he hit Itt to bring him into conscousness, because apparently he didn’t even realise what he was doing. On top of that neither Itt nor Night and Gear had a slightest clue what Day was going through, how hard it was to have no idea what happened around, because he had lost his memories. Night and Gear simultaneously noticed the bruise on Itts cheek, but did they notice the bandage on Days hand and ask him what had happened? They didn’t. Gear said “If he is the old Day”…WTF, man? Obviously he isn’t…Maybe they would get it if they appeared to be on the same wavelenght with Day. Having said that, I don’t justify his violence.

Its absolutely comprehensible, that they just tried to make his memories come back, but when he remembers small events he has headaches, and reminiscing about places could cause him a headache more severe. Am I diving too deep? I think, such small things must be taken into account as well.

I’m on the 9th episode right now, and I can notice some changes. I like it when Day lets Itt do things on his own, and Itt tries to hold his selfishness back and cares about Day even more, not as a person who should satisfy his needs, but as the one who he loves. This time their relationships are progressing, and IF nothing changes, they can be predicated on trust and reciprocal understanding. None of them will even think about presiding over the other, because when I put aside Days memory intact, I can’t accept what he did to Itt. Making someone depend on you to the extent that the person is not able to take a shit without you is insane.
I am so glad to see, that Day Is falling in love again and after finding Itt he didn’t holler out at him, he genuienly missed him, needed him.

I was flabbergasted, that Itt could set up his campsite alone, even though he can’t cook or take care of himself at all. But why is he so unreasonable sometimes? “Yes, he slept with me, but nothing could happen, we are both men”. THE PERSON YOU FUCK WITH IS A MAN, PAL.

Frankly, I don’t like Frank here (what a coincidence!). When he learnt about Day beating the wall to punish himself he had to show some disquiet and concern about him, but he failed. The emotions he shows are so vague, sometimes they don’t even come out. I won’t hesitate to say, that a more suitable actor could have been chosen instead of Frank.
On the contrary, Lee is impregnable here. I like his acting, besides, he is the only one whose outfits are always chosen adequately (in comparison).
About kiss scenes…Frank fails, again. I don’t feel his passion, I believe, that he could show more commitment than he does.
Honestly, I don’t know, why I like this, however, if I don’t increase the spead while watching, it means, that Its not weary and I wont get bored stiff.

After finishing the whole thing I still can’t understand how the relationships, that started this way could turn into love…We saw how they first met, Day beat the shit out of Itt, but we don’t see what happened after. Did he keep him hostage or did he released him and they met again? I don’t get it. This storyline is so messy and weak…How did they forgive each other? I need some more disclosure, because there’s no way I can figure it out myself. I can consider this as a love story, if we cut off the way they met.

The accident was a good lesson for both of them. Day let Itt do things himself, Itt is not a spring chichken anymore. Their character development is salient, but the whole story is replete with shortcomings and lacks uncovering.

Nan and Mac. I must talk about them. They jogged my memories of VegasPete. THEY NEEDED MORE SCREENTIME, I NEED A DRAMA WITH THEM ASAP. THE WAY THEY MADE OUT AT THE PARTY WAS BRAINSICK. I DETEST MYSELF FOR LIKING IT. I DESPISE MYSELF FOR LONGING FOR MORE. But the morality I have inside is not okay with this. Night and Gear seem to be a loving couple, but their relationships started with abuse and rape, its problematic, no matter how hard I try to romaticise it, I don’t succeed.

One more character I was into is Nick. HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO ISN’T AFRAID TO SPEAK HIS MIND. He put Day in his place, he was so good at it that his boyfriend had to scold at him and shut him up. People don’t like the ones who actually speak up the truth, but our Shorty didn’t give a shit. On top of that he is humorous and good fun.

The summative conclusion is that this drama could have been better if the flaws that I metioned above were unrooted (there are plenty of trivial matters I don’t want to mention, because I’m always picky about a plot). Questionable plot execution had me pretending that everything was settled, I didn’t have uncertainities and doubts concerning the ending. Btw, I mostly enjoyed this. Its not bad, but its not good either.

It’s been a year I haven’t heard japanese speech and in the beginning It was kinda..perplexing? But after 10 minutes I got used to it. It is my first japanese BL drama, that’s why I decided to write a review about it.
6 episodes, 23 minutes each. How could they put so much passion and meaning in just 6 episodes, while the other dramas consisting of 12 or more episodes still leave me doubting the execution and having some unanswered questions concerning the plot. This was a magnificent drama with ravishing cinematography and actors with insane chemistry.
It’s about soulmates. They had encountered even before their first meeting, which was just a miraculous reunion. This is so heartwarming! The fact that Ritsu fell for Fumiya after amnesia is significant!
Everything was so…japanese? Japanese movies are peculiar for me with their unique colour scheme, which create the atmospere and the overall mood. They used shades of blue, brown, yellow and grey and created a sense of tension and harmony at the same time. Absolutely loved it!
If you have already watched all the essentials of Thai dramas and everything you come across is just shitty leftovers, I advice you to pull the plug on hesitating and jump straight into watching this. It is easy to binge-watch but feel satisfaction and ease after.

Not what I expected, but I'm still satisfied to see my favourite couples here!

Nueng and Palm.
I missed them so much! 2 hours with one of my favourite couples flew by in a blink of an eye, which means that the story was interesting and I enjoyed it! I want to emphasize my love for their outfits! Palm looks drop-dead gorgeous in those vintage aloha shirts! Nuengdiao’s style is ravishing, he looks exactly like a future composer!
Palm’s character development is so obvious. He is not as modest and shy as he used to be. He runs his own restaurant, stands steadily on his feet, I’m so proud! He became so flirty, haha, the self-confidence boost is apparent, I like it. He is not afraid of trying new things in life!
Plot was engrossing. Considering that these were just special episodes, they were well-thought-out! I liked side couples courage to make moves on each other, although same sex love was forbidden back then. The idea of switching roles of Palm and Nueng is also absorbing, and I went through so many flashbacks when Palm invitied Nueng to have breakfast with him.
Thank you for this short, fluffy fantasy!

Dao and Kluen.
No matter how many times I try to feel something for this couple, I never succeed. I couldn’t find passion between the actors, Dao’s acting isn’t convincing enough, his emotions, smiles and sadness are nothing but a forgery for me. I understand, that those are just special episodes, but we deserve some plot, don’t we? I get it, that they’re a couple, but don’t you think that they are acting lovey-dovey all the time, and that’s too much…I love the feeling of excitement when a couple confess their love for each other, hold each others hands, kiss and so on…But there is just too much of it, that’s boring.
Why did they ask their friends to tag along if they planned to split up or shoo them away, because they wanted to stay alone..Also there were hints on NaySean (“You care about me?’’, some glances they exchanged). Honestly, when I saw Satang and Winny in the same drama I thought that they would make a match here as well, but all I got is some hints at the end of the last episode.
I forgot to mention how handsome Satang is. I like his black hair. Stunning!
The only thing I liked about those episodes is when they started talking in english so unexpectedly. I got shivers all over my body when Kluen asked If he could kiss Dao. Thai-accented English is a new fetish for me, I guess.
I loved the fact that Dao trusts Kluen. When he told his friends that he didn’t have any reason to doubt Kluen’s feelings he reminded me of Fiat from “Don’t say no”. Actually, that is not the only similarity between those characters (my opinion).
My conclusion is that this couple is just cringey for me.

Ayan and Akk
Ayan and Akk, Khao and First, Shortstop and Big Foot..I can’t put my feelings in words, they are not enough. I love them, I swear. The best thing I like about them is that they don’t need to tell each other “I love you” every day. Actually, they do, but they have so many alternative ways to say it. “You are my space where I feel comfortable to be in”. “Can you hug me? I love hugging you”. “Thank you for not letting go of my hand”. HAVE YOU NOTICED HOW DEEP AYAN’S VOICE IS? Ok, won’t get distracted…I SQUEAL EVERY TIME WHEN AKK KISSES AYAN’S FACE: HIS FORHEAD, CHEEKS, NOSE, JAW, LIPS…This drama is so special to me, I have lots to say, my words aren’t enough…When Akk asked Ayan “Tell me you love me once more”…I promise, I cried, I couldn’t hold. The tension and chemistry between them is just undescribable. HAVE YOU NOTICED HOW THEY SMILE WHILE KISSING? I WAS SQUIRMING LIKE BONKERS.
These two episodes show us what hardships we face in a relationship and how we can solve them. There’s a thin line between caring for others and saving yourself for YOURSELF. All we need is harmony.
I’m so glad to see that the episodes were not about Ayan and Akk only. Thua and Kan…I still can’t understand how they forgave Thua as if nothing had happened. I didn’t write about this in my review for the prequel, but I still don’t understand Thua. It was so selfish of him…He was the one who had to understand Ayan and Akk the most, but he was just..careless..Btw, I’m happy to see them so drunk in love.
Romance between a teacher and a student is soooooooooo exciting, I pampered a hope that Sani and Wat would be a thing, haha.
I am grateful for a chance to see my favourite couple together once more. Absolutely loved this!
Puen and Talay
I burst out laughting so hard! Two Papas taking care of their little son! CUTENESS OVERLOAD AS ALWAYS. Even after 5 years they were fooling around, supporting and loving each other just the same. I was so thrilled when Talay, while wiping Puen’s face, reminisced about his first time doing it. I am so in love with their love story, it is so unique. I don’t even know what to say…I love the way they love each other, respect each others personal space: “We might focus less on our love one day, but I’ll understand you, care for you, and want the best for you”. That’s what is called healthy relationship!
I am so delighted to spend 2 hours watching over one of my favourite couples! Thank you!

Gun and Tinn
I love Gemini and Fourth doesn’t matter who is who, but as far as I’m concerned, they were not suitable for each others roles. I thought that their specials had to be a continuation of the sequel as well as the others. I’m a little bit disappointed, but it doesn’t change the fact that I adore ‘’My school president”. There are some people, who are watching Our Sky without having watched all of the dramas included. It’s impossible to rearrange the entire drama and put it in 2 episodes. Their feelings developed so rapidly, some things didn’t even make sense. That’s why I think that making a continuation was a better Idea. Btw, I’m satisfied just by seeing them together holding hands and clinging fingers. I missed them sooo much.
P.S I’m endlessly in love with Fourth’s calm and deep voice.

Gun and Cher
Honestly, I had been putting off watching this for a longgg time, but I’m glad I decided to bite the bullet. It turned out that this drama was one of the fluffiest, easiest to binge-watch and have a ball. I laughted so hard while watching those 2 episodes, and there are some things that captured my attention. It’s so heartwarming to see that Gun gave up on his luxurious condo and moved in with Cher. Despite the age gap and different social status they are so harmonious! I also love their ability to talk to avoid falling outs! I don’t know why GMMTV is so fond of switching roles, but I liked this one. Before being judgemental and making conclusions about a person, we should get to be in their shoes first! This was depicted in a funny way, but made so much sense indeed!
And Chers last order to love him forever was so touching! Love them!

Pat and Pran
GMMTV indulged us so much in the last 4 episodes…This has been the best collaboration so far.
I didn’t know I loved OhmNanon so much…Now when its over and I will never see them together again it hurts…”I can’t live without you” “Neither can I”. When I finished “Bad buddy” I thought that there was nothing extraordinary about OhmNanon, but now I get it. Nobody can look at Ohm the way Pran did on the backstage. “I always tell him, that he can’t do anything without me, but that’s me who always needs his help”. Shia, was it necessary to make me cry?
Honestly, I thought that Pat would be the one playing Phupas role, not Pran. Btw, I cried when Pat was counting stars, and I remembered the original scene…I can never get over it, actually.
Will miss OhmNanon…already missing!

Phupha and Tian
Leaving the best for the last. I am so eager to watch “Moonlight chicken” to enjoy EarthMix’s chemistry again, but I know, that nothing compares to Phupha and Tian. The way Tian says “Hawhna” and looks into Phupha’s eyes so innocently…Their story is one-of-a-kind.
Their couple has developed undoubtedly. Do you remember their first kiss at the end of “A tale of thousand stars”? They were so shy and unconfident. They have been together for so long, therefore the kiss was so passionate and emotional, I wonder if it was PhuphaTian or EarthMix…
Seeing them arguing over such small things deluded me at first, but then I understood that it was all about compromising mixed with a little misunderstanding. Who loves who more? Who cares about who more? Who fell first? I think, that such arguments are common, and doesn’t matter how mature and self-assured you are. We see that in the beginning they don’t want to talk it over, they just quit and go their separate ways. Communication is the key. We know that both of them were not sophisticated about relationships. Even though they had a near-death experience together, dealing with family matters can be more intricate. Tian admitted that they had never fought over more nonsense than that. I’m so glad that they show us the real hardships we have to overcome in realtionships.
Last scene was something undefinable. THE WAY PHUPHA GAVE THE RING TO TIAN WITH TEARS IN HIS EYES GOT ME SOBBING. Tian was astounded and emotional at the same time. THEIR ACTING WAS SO TOUCHING, I BURST INTO TEARS. THE WAY HE THREW HIS HEAD BACK TO HOLD HIS TEARS WAS TEAR-JERKING, I SWEAR.
I’m so grateful for this! HE FUCKING PROPOSED TO TIAN.
“A tale of thousand stars’’ is a drama that I scarcely can get over. Its time to rewatch my favourite scenes!

NARAKNESS OVERLOAD!

I’m writing this after having watched only 4 episodes. There are 8 more I have on my way, but for now I can say that I’M FULLY, ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY, COMPLETELY IN LOVE. CUTENESS OVERLOAD. The plot is something fresh and new among other Thai dramas and I like it.

Will you please excuse me if I get distracted from the plot for a minute and talk about Jimmy? I don’t usually express my feeling for actors, but I can’t help it. I have been head over heels for Jimmy since I first saw him in Bad Buddy. JIMMY IS HANDSOME, STUNNING, INVINCIBLE and yeah, Sea got that right: He is so cute and tiny when he pouts. AND THOSE MOTHERFUCKING EYES. I can’t help staring at him.

THE CHEMISTRY IS CHEMISTRYING! I CANT BELIEVE I FINALLY BUMPED INTO REAL CHEMISTRY! Last time I felt it in “My school president” and now I’m getting the same vibes. This drama is about to become my comfort zone. I absolutely like the references here. When Phuwadol said the password “I will kiss you till you drop” I started screeming like crazy! And so-called “copyright infringement” “You don’t have to like me very much, just keep you heart open for me”. THOSE REFERENCES WARM MY HEART EVERY TIME. The moment when Tun gave the inhaler to Talay I remembered Pat and Pran fighting over it. The fact that Puen’s vessel is Nanon’s body (who is Pran) makes it even more touching.
The fact that I’m watching this when OhmNanon (aka one of the most iconic couples) is gone makes those references heartwarming and painful for me at the same time. Once Talay asked Tun “are you competing me again?” THAT GOT ME CRYING AF.

Update after watching 4 more episodes: I have seen some reviews about this whole “alternative universes’’ stuff, and want to talk about it. I don’t find it messy. Puen and Talay met In their universe and obviously there had been chemistry between them since the beginning. Doesn’t matter how apparent and predictable was their meeting In the second universe, it still has its meaning. You will find your soulmate even after travelling to another universe. Besides, we can see that both Talay and Puen have never experienced love and they got the opportunity to do it In another universe. And yeah, people who say “how is that even possible to get back, total nonsense”…Hilarious. Have you ever questioned yourself how Loki was able to teleport to Earth through the tessaract without the possession of it? FANTASY. THAT’S IT.

Elements of fantasy are really interesting for me. Whether you like it or not depends on your interpretation of everything said and done by the characters. This drama teaches us 2 important things: 1. You don’t always need to have mutual interests to match with each other. 2. Faces don’t matter when you are in love with a person’s soul.

One more thing that really got me is the development of their feelings. It is not boring, their conversations and interaction are always relevant. PICK UP LINES ARE SO CUTE. I still cant get over “carbo-naraaaaak”. THE KISS IN THE END OF THE 8TH EPISODE. I got shivers all over my body! ROMANTIC!
The plotline when Puen didn’t want to go back again was expectable.
Cuteness became suffocating when Talay told Tun that he was falling for him.
THE HAT WITH ALPACA ON IT. I used to think that Puen would somehow find out that Talay was the guy he acted with (every time they stood close to each other I thought that Talay would start laughing, because “it tickles”). As long as it didn’t happen I couldn’t think of anything else BUT THE HAT. THE MOMENT WHEN PUEN REALISED THAT HE HAD ALREADY KNOWN TALAY IN THEIR UNIVERSE AND PUT THE HAT ON WRONG DELBERATELY. “Is this a llama?” That’s the question he asked when they first met.

Acting in this show is magnificent! EVERY PART OF JIMMY’S FACE IS THE INCARNATION OF HIS FEELINGS! And have you ever paid attention to Talays yearning eyes after kissing Puen? Hail Mary…

The plot got a little bit messy in the 11th episode. It took me long to suss out what had happened. I don’t think I comprehended it precisely…Did Puen went to their universe first, because Pakorn had a near-death experience while Puen was dreaming? I don’t know..

BUT HELL, WHEN TALAY REVEALED PUEN’S WISH: “That day, in the glass house, I fell head over heals in love with you”. THAT GOT ME SQUEALING.
I knew, that an irresponsible person like Tess would fuck up Talays life. He is lucky to get his job back.

I have to admit that there were plot holes but now I’m replete with emotions, for which I’m thankful. This drama is another safe zone for me. Narakness overload! It is easy to watch, although you can get bored during the last two episodes, because the dream is gone and the characters have to face the reality. But it is still sweet and wholesome!
My mind is brimful of quotes from this drama and the last one I want to mention is “Ever since I saw you singing in Pong’s bar, I have been head over heals for you”.
Shia, those guys captured my heart and wiped the dust off it. Thank you! 9.5/10

I have never experienced such feelings. NEVER.

You can't even imagine my happiness when I saw that there were 2 more seasons after this, because I think I can't get enough of them. I liked literally everything about this drama: the flawless plot, the actors, the chemistry, everything. Now i am looking for words to describe my feelings...I can't find 'em, which is strange, because when I want to give a depiction of something I didn't like, it is easy to do.

I determine if I really liked a drama due to my feelings during watching it and afterwards. I found myself crying for several times. I caught myself dumbfounded for 2 times. I was worried during the whole show and was afraid of finishing it. 45 minutes flew by instantly and that's why I am glad to see 2 sequels.

Ayan...I am head over heals for him. His acting was just...incredible! The way he cried, smiled, laughted, looked at Akk...Holy shit, I never doubted my english vocabulary...Ok, let's admit that I am tongue-tied because of how spellbinding this was.

DON'T HESITATE. GO AND WATCH THIS MASTERPIECE!

I started watching this drama just because I had heard a lot of positive comments about it, but I have got to say that this show is really overrated and some of reviews are really exaggerated. I tried hard to persuade myself that there was a chemistry between Tine and Sarawat, and sometimes I found it. I am not going to talk about plot holes and I just want to cut to the chase and ask ''WHERE THE FUCK IS CONVERSATION????". Have they ever heard of it? The thing that they broke up and made up for one episode was a travesty. Why Tine did not even give Sarawat a chance to talk and explain himself? And the thing that got me hollering at the screen was that Tine was pertinaciously trying to dissuade Pam that Sawarat did not love her. Pal, what is wrong with you? The chick said that herself.
I am not as pissed off because of this as I was while watching TharnType, who could not learn to trust each other after 7 years.
Ok, If you watch this for the plot, then you may get really exhausted sometimes, but If the only thing you care about is Sarawat with his captivating eyes and incredible smile (they got me too), then go on.

Exceptional

No irrelevant dialogues, everything is approriate and satisfying.
So, we have two beautiful, but sadly, bitter souls. One of them has lost the desire to carry on, is disgusted by himself, thinking that he isn't worth of anything. The other one, as the Angel mentioned, "desperately wanted to be loved". Kamisama isn't that lousy actually: those souls needed each other so bad, and it's so doleful that thay didn't meet each other in some other way. From the beginning it was salient that Angel was to disappear sooner or later, but he had a mission to accomplish before that. Angel himself was wrongly accused and that led him to suicide, but he got one last chance to be loved and give another person a reason to go on. I'm not intented to dive too deep, I just don't know any other way to say that I truly liked the show.

For me, the part when they were laughing is so notable, because it was funny and sorrowful simultaneously. Koki means someone who has a lot of friends, but actually he was lonely. Takashina is someone who strives for heaven but fell down in reality. Indeed, it's meaningless to put so much hope into a name. People make each other happy, and those souls had their happy ending, which doesn't seem to be the way we always see it.

JBLs never disappoint. This was a short, yet beautiful journey!

A piece of art...

Perhaps leaving a review after 6 years, when everything has already been said by other people, is meaningless, but my head is full of contradicting thoughts right now, and there's no real place to express them.

The cast was chosen perfectly, the music was spectacular, because I'm a sucker for classical music. The plot...
Art isn't something that everyone can do, and we know it. My future profession is politics, and perhaps I'll have to deceive myself and my commitments, become coldhearted and kinda deprived of the chance to express my true feelings.
The psychology of art is a subject of extensive studies, and it goes without saying that art and emotion are homogenous in some way. A true piece of art can be born only when you lay bare your true feelings, emotions, pain, struggles and etc. The same goes for acting.

Jae Ha is someone who loses himself every time when he gets to play a new role. His character becomes his doppleganger, that's the reason he is a well-known veteran actor. He is devoted to his job, consequently he doesn't bare tardiness and slothfulness from his partners.
Young Woo is exhaused. Girls running around him trying to take a pic or touch him is a usual part of his life and perhaps he was tired of doing the same thing every day. Acting is something that helps a lot in recognizing yourself better, finding our your limits, so he wanted to try something new. I bet he could never know that he would get deeply infatuated with the veteran actor, who himself, despite his age and experience, never knew he could ever fall in love with his acting partner, because his method of acting had never let him down.

Yes, as far as I'm concerned he had feelings for Young Woo, albeit he couldn't accept them till the end. The inner battle he was going through was obvious - him running every day as fast as he can to drop those thoughts out of his head, being startled and speechless after every physical contact he made with Young Woo (the photoshoot, for example, which wasn't a part of the play). During the play he kissed Young Woo and also wasn't a part of it. That was something that he wanted himself.

Young Woo felt like he had been toyed with, because he truly believed that there was something between them. The reason he could perfectly execute his role is that he loved Jae Ha the way Singer loved Walter: madly, deeply, passionately. In the end of the performance he indeed tried to commit suicide,

But the age gap says it all. Being a young man who wants to explore the world and open himself up to new things and a middle aged man who understands the laws of attraction. It's comprehensible why Young Woo was ready to tell everyone about his, their feelings (my feelings, our feelings): he is young, vigorous, ready to overcome obstacles, because is there anything impossible when you're young?
Jae Ha is a middle aged man who can foresee the consequenses of jumping the gun and sacrificing everything. Let's take into account that homosexuality isn't something widely accepted in Korea.
At the same time, I can't deny the fact that he had feelings for Young Woo. When the latter told him that he was ready to tell everyone, he just held his face in his hands and that moment I felt his rue. During the play we could notice the thin line between the play and reality: he mixed up the names, forgot what was a part of a play and what was not. That's why, in the end, Young Woo is the perfect Singer and Jae Ha is just Walter.

I don't believe that there's a happy ending for them despite the open ending which lets us interpret it ourselves. They will go their separate ways but there's no doubt that they left an unerasable trace in each others lives.

I know that my review is as messy as the plot of "Unchain" but that's what it is. Actually, there are more thoughts invading my head right now, but I can't put them in words. This was breathtaking, compelling, and definetly not for everyone due to it's intrication.

the beginning literally had me, the ending....I don't feel satisfied.

First 2 episodes of this drama reminded me of “Until we meet again”, because they made me cry like a banshee as well as these ones. I got overwhelmed emotionally, I couldn’t watch Third crying and being humiliated by Khai’s unconscious acts. Maybe, he thought that Third was a friend and he would be okay with him bringing girls home, asking him to leave because Fahsai would feel uncomfortable and etc, inasmuch as he didn’t know about Thirds feelings, but I couldn’t handle it. It doesn’t strike me as a result of a poor storyline, but I think my CNS was somehow damaged. At the end of the third episode I prayed the Lord to make Third leave Khai’s condo, because I was livid already…I had to put myself together, otherwise I would ditch the drama. Consequently, you have to be emotionally prepared to watch this.
The 4th episode cost me a mental breakdown. Seeing Third happy and, as he mentioned, “getting what a secret admirer would ask for”, and then him crying silently again just shattered my heart to pieces. The thing is, I cant put a blame on Khai, as he is young and extremely handsome, pretty charismatic, so he does whatever floats his boat, enjoys his life as best as he can…But toying with someone’s feelings, even assuming that there are none, is not a right thing to do. Furthermore, I can understand him changing girls like socks, but he is a terrible friend. If he thought that his friend was kind enough to leave him alone with his bitch, why didn’t he tell him the truth about catching a movie with a girl? He could at least do that, it wouldn’t hurt the same. In addition to this, I hate Khai for exploiting Third.
At times I have to stop an episode, because either its tedious or I need to cope with my anguish/irritation. I have this insane craving to beat Khai up. Doesn’t he feel that not only Third, but all his friends aren’t happy to see his new girlfriends every day, and they shouldn’t tag along when he has to work/have lunch with his friends. And the kiss…Shit, I barely held myself back from crashing down my laptop screen…And I can’t believe I want to go on watching this, because it’s not bad, it just depicts reality so precisely, that it hurts.
I used to think that watching Khai go through the same torments as Third went through, would satisfy me, but man, it didn’t…I can’t figure out what kind of feelings I have for this drama, but certainly they aren’t bad..I’m deluded. Is it really hard to watch because of the emotional tension, or is it just me who finds it complicated?
I felt so sorry for Khai, when he was dumped by his friends and had to wait for them at the station all day long…Khai and Third’s meeting there was so emotional, I broke down crying.

After so much spoilers, I would like to shout out to Gun…In my point of view, he is the best when it comes to crying and expressing emotions. He puts his soul in his acting and that’s why I love Gun so much. I also like that the plot is not concentrated only on the main couple, and we can see side couples developing as well. I’m watching this after “Not me” and there Gun and Off seem to be more comfortable together. Two’s feelings for Un were rushed…As far as I’m concerned they needed more screentime, and they could get it if some meaningless and irrelevant scenes were cut out.
I am not disappointed, plot execution is not questionable, but I have to admit, that I pampered higher expectations.

Left me unsatisfied.

I’m a sucker for vintage and retro in movies and shows and that’s what I want to talk about first. The atmosphere In this drama is just ravishing. My eyes are in heaven. Thank you.

Many people say that this movie is a miserable attempt to recreate KinnPorsche, but I won’t agree. I am used to seeing similarities between Thai dramas, they stopped bothering me. I always look for specificities in every drama and I have never failed to find them, and that’s what I pay attention to while rating dramas.
Salient similarity: “You do it, because my/your father told you so. That’s your duty, you don’t have feelings for me”. The same situation was with Phupha and Tian. Classic story.

Thai dramas would have lost their peculiarity without beach vacations, musical instruments and motorcycles. I’m glad to see that the guitar was replaced by the piano. There’s something that has been bothering me all the time: american songs. It was so unusual to me…Thai songs were outnumbered by american songs, but I’m not saying that it is a bad thing. I just love listening to Thai songs in Thai dramas, that’s it.

Everything is comprehensible in this drama until you get picky about the plot: What happened to Palm’s father? When did Ben manage to generate feelings for Chopper? I knew from the start that these two would end up together, what I’m saying is that they needed more screentime.
Sometimes the main leads were clutching at straws for showing some chemistry: either they had smoldering emotions or tried to forge them. This is the main reason I couldn’t force myself to feel that special emotional boud with the leads. I still can’t get over Khao and First, because they enchanted me with their acting skills and chemistry. Palm was naturally shy and meek, but what about Pond? Was he shy to act? There were a lot of sad moments and only once they made me cry and I apparently felt the chemistry: when Palm was screeming and calling his mom after she died and when Palm hugged Nueng from the back after pushing him away. I adore that scene.

I can say the same thing about Nueng’s emotions. When Palm got a tattoo to honor Nueng, the latter was supposed to act like he was really astounded. In my opinion, he failed. Instead of manifesting surprise, he was acting as if Palm MUST have done it a long time ago, because he was his Young Master, and it would have been a shame not to do that. I need real emotions, that’s it.

This transition from teenagers to adults was not smooth. Nueng became a businessman in the blink of an eye..or maybe I’m underestimating him. I don’t know, it just wasn’t convincing enough to me.

And the last time when Palm left Nueng…C’mon, bro, you have talked this over for like hundred times already and the deduction has always been the same: You love each other and want to stay together. I understand, that Thanya’s words affected him, but c’mon, how could you think of yourself as an impediment after what you had been trough? This was either a way to get them separated for worrying the audience, or forgetting promises given once or even more was a piece of cake for Palm.

7.5/10.

Plot development is an essential skill, but, unfortunately, the author turned out to be clueless when it came to that.

Ok, I will start with the good things.
I liked every location in this show. It was aesthetically pleasing. I got bored and started rummaging in my phone many times during this series, but I could notice some graceful transitions, special effects and lights that made my eyes pop out and thank me for watching this.

Bank and Mos are invincible! I am enchanted by the chemistry between them, it’s a pity, that is was wasted.

I don’t usually pay attention to music in Thai dramas, because I’m fond of metal and 1970-80’s rock and pop, so I don’t really think that their music can be satisfying for me, BUT: I liked the music in this show. Bank has an amazing voice.

Also, I liked Pank and Pong, they made me burst into laughter for a couple times. Love them!

I have watched lots of dramas consisting of 8 (even less) episodes lasting an hour. Big Dragon episodes last approximately 50 minutes each and have some unnecessary and irrelevant scenes that could be replaced so as to contribute to the development of the main couple. There were enough storylines to make a great show, but…Failed. The whole show is in the last two episodes. They tried to place all the cute and lovely moments they could have together in a jiff, so there would be something to remember and cry for when Mongkorn left. The moments were really captivating, hot, full of warm, but I think they were not enough. In my opinion, either there have to be more episodes to give actors more time to develop (their relations, characters and so on) or the episodes have to last longer than 45-50 mins. I understand, that there is the second season. Bonk and Mos’s relationship as a couple will be elaborating in the second season, but the first one misses the starting point (which is also significant to me), because the plot was a mess. They were not even in a relationship, but managed to break up, because Yai was not ready to handle Mangkorn’s problems…I don’t get this. Without the last two episodes there would be nothing to remember but the one night stand.

There is an abundance of important topics that were brought up. Yai had family issues: He lost his mother and his father couldn’t give him enough attention, because he was to busy working. The house was empty after his mother’s demise, although he didn’t want his father to try to fill the emptiness due to another woman. Besides, heart to heart talks between him and his father were missing. The only matter of importance was work. Alas, those kind of issues are widespread nowadays.

A person has to be a sex addict to deal with his rival in this way…To me, the reason for shooting a sex clip for discrediting someone, was not that serious. Am I diving too deep? Should I stop being so demanding when it comes to the plot? Idk.

It is worth watching if you are seeking for spicy scenes with really handsome actors in them, but if plot matters, you will most likely be disappointed. 5/10.

I watched the first episode and wanted to drop it, because I paid attention to reviews and they were condradictional. Something told me to give it another chance, because the first episodes can be deceptive.
The most salient and really odious thing is gossip boys. Hell, I can’t stand them at all. It is not a plot hole, I just wonder if they are really like this. I am from the Caucasus and I am not really used to see boys spreading out rumors. Fiat and Leo don’t have personal space at all, everybody knows about their “bedroom issues”. Some people really exaggerated this and now it is about Leo, who can’t “get it up”. Outrageous.
Haha, and the fact that one of the friends of the main couple has to give them a condom or other sex toys as a hosewarming gift is hilarious. Sarawat and Tine received a bouquet of condoms after they moved in together. The whole second episode was made for Leo to doubt his abilities.
Sometimes I don’t really understand Fiat. Wasn’t there another way to spite Leo other than screwing around? Fiats father..I don’t get him. Wasn’t he thinking about repercussions when he “turned a blind eye” on Fiat when he was sleeping with just anyone? He should have stopped him for his dignity, not to give an earful to Fiat when its already too late (having said this, I don’t put the whole responsibility on his shoulders).

Uptade: I have just watched the 9th episode. I don’t get it why people give so much hate to this show…Maybe the plot has its fables but its still good…I think, that it would have been better if after watching the clip that Fiat’s friends made for him, his father appeared and told him he loved him himself. It would have been the best gift for his birthday. But it still was well-thought-out.

I am not a clairvoyant, but sometimes I think I can predict plot twists without any ‘’sixth sense’’. The same thing is happening again. Fiat caught Leo kissing with a girl, whose pirde was ferociously wounded when Fiat told her to “dream on”. I was wondering if something would happen to cause a dissension between Leo and Fiat. But this time Fiat decided to TRUST HIM. I’m flabbergasted! Finally someone is being reasonable. I thought that he would chase Leo away accusing him in cheating . I suddenly remembered Tharn who accused Type in cheating like “I saw you kiss him”. I wonder how he missed the part when Type pushed Fiat away. I really appreciate Fiat who understands that everything he saw could have been underhanded by someone. Fiat matured a lot whereas Leo is still easy to decieve. Fiat was trying to justify Leo, who saw him sleeping around for years, although they were not even dating. He didn’t know the truth and still, despite the pain, that was killing him from the inside, he trusted Leo. I absolutely love Fiat. Leo started getting on my nerves when he told Fiat that he didn’t want to see his face despite saying that he knew about the mind games King was trying to play. So didn't Fiat get hurt when he saw you kissing that bitch TWICE?! Btw, these two are too lucky to have their friends by their side! SHOUT OUT TO AEK AND THO!

Leon and Pob..That’s what happens when you meet the right person at the wrong time. But that’s what real love is. Sometimes we just have to let go and the reasoning is acceptable for me.
I liked the series even though I got bored sometimes. It is worth watching but I don’t think I will rewatch this.

Let's start from season one. I have come across an abundance of comments saying that their relationship was very toxic. How does it feel for a man, who liked women for his whole life to generate feelings for another man? On the one hand Type really cared about what people would think of him if they knew about it, but on the other hand he couldn't hide his feelings anymore, especially when he tried to hook up with a woman and understood that it was already impossible for him to get Tharn out of his head. When their relationship started he became very possessive of Tharn, and I think that it would be the same way if his partner was not a man, cause that ownership syndrome was in his blood...The only way out was just going public and letting everybody know that Tharn was taken but he was not ready for it. I think, that he needed time for it, although we come across the same thing in the second season. But the case was different.

We can notice his character development especially when he punches Tharn's ex and tells him that Tharn is HIS man. And in the last episode when he holds Tharns hand in public. Imagine yourself being a man with the conviction that you hate gays and experiencing feelings for a man, who doesn't see anything bad in introducing his lover to his family, going public and living together as a normal couple. Tharn gave time to Type and he realized how intricate it was.

I have seen comments about Tharn being addicted to sex and that was the only thing he cared about...I don't think so. I can't forget the scene when he told Type to eat..."I don't care if you hate me or not, just eat"...He was not careless. I consider it not as an addiction, but a love language. It's just my opinion, I loved the series.

Btw, there are plenty of contradictions in my head concerning the second season. They have been together for 7 years. Type still doesn't want to go public, although their close friends know about them, meanwhile Tharn already thinks about marriage. But we can notice some real changes in Types atitude. In the first season when he knew about his best friend being gay he was confused and couldn't admit it, but now (to be honest, it was really unexpectable to see all of them being gay, in all of a sudden No has got a boyfriend!). Type is a hair-trigger and hot-headed by nature, but he is trying to cope with his anger issues. He contends with them every time his shit-head superior taunts him for no reason at all (I don't think that he was so in love with the nurse though, it was personal, he didn't like Type). The thing is that some of us really like talking out on our beloved ones, and thats what happened to Type (don't tell me you havnen't done that). These things don't strike me as plot holes, I see them as parts of our lives, cause that's what happens when you're overwhelmed and have no time for simmering down. He didn't want to bother Tharn with his problems seeing him being happy with his friends and was looking for someone to talk to. But deep down he wanted Tharn to be that one, because he was the closest to him. He didn't want to upset Tharn with his problems, and it's important to understand that our parntners are not there only when we are happy. Sorrow and anxiety are also to be shared with them.

Some of the commentators say, that Tharn insisted on getting marriend iexorably, but I saw him doing that 2 times only. I pity him, because he noticed the hardships Type was going through and tried to hold himself back and the story with that repulsive girl pestering Tharn, then Fiat who thought that if they were not married so he could make Type want him...Everything was for Type to realize the importance of marriage, and I don't think that Tharn made him agree by being so relentless. I reckon that he came to that conclusion himself.

About the side couples...They were not irrelevant to me. Cin and Phu were the ones who looked up to TharnType, Fiat and Leo were getting on my nerves in the begining, but now I am determined to watch "Don't say no" which is about them. Also, after Champ rejected one of his friends in the first season, I really wondered what would happen to him, so his storyline with Doc was really germane.

The lack of communication and mistrust between the couple was unbearable to me: the latter resulted in the former. They are the most common hindrances that can stand on our way, and fortunately they found the way to deal with it and didn't give up on their love. And what really got me is Type saying "it's only 7 years", while other people kept saying that 7 years are really a lot. He had not had enough of Tharn and I don't think he ever will.

The series is worth watching to understand the nature of impediments that may appear on our ways in adulthood. 8.5/10 for the cringy moments I had to go through, haha.
