Story about friendship and growing up, plot falls flat.

I haven't read the manhua or anything else so this story was completely new to me. I searched some background information about the characters etc. so based on that I was really looking forward to this drama.

The story is mostly about comradery between the characters. How they hone their skills, level up, fight together and form a team. There's some love but it's more like affection. If you are planning to watch this because of Xiao Zhan then go ahead but it doesn't necessarily carry through. He has the main role but the side characters with their backstories take a lot of space. That's why I stress the words "friendship" and "teamwork".

The main plot and side plots all fall flat. It was dragging until episode 26 then it kind of picked up. They have these mysteries going on, antagonists.. But nothing really happens. It's very predictable. I felt like everything only began in the last episode. Fighting scenes were kind of nicely executed compared to everything else.

The cast was okay. I think they did a good job with what they got. The characters all stay kind of.. superficial so the team's friendships seem also kind of so-so. Ou Si Ke was my favorite.

Music is just horrible. In some scenes it doesn't fit at all and then when it occurs all the time it starts to bother.

Overall I gave 6 out of 10. I watched it through but at times it was like pulling teeth. I just didn't want to give up. I was waiting for something to happen, the chemistry between them to deepen, to get a better idea of this supposedly magnificent original story but no. But I stayed for the fighting scenes.

For romance k-drama lovers

If you're looking for something easy to watch, light-hearted romance with little humor on the side, then this is the drama for you.

I liked every character and pairing, I think they were well portrayed. The actors played well together and their chemistry was believable. I had seen some of the actors' works before so it was interesting to see how they would play together. I liked Kim Se Jeong (female lead) in The Uncanny Counter and she delivered a strong female character here as well (or strong female character in k-drama standards). I also liked Seol In Ah's (second female lead) character in Mr.Queen so I was overjoyed to see more of her acting here. And of course, Ahn Hyo Seop, just as I was getting over his character in Abyss and Lovers of the Red Sky, I fell for him again. *eyeroll* Typical.

But most of all, I liked the synergy between the two female leads. Their sisterly bonding is friendship goals! *chef's kiss* Actually almost all female interactions were pretty amazing, so supporting of each other. Girl power! Second pairing was almost better than the main pair. Ha Ri's co-workers were amazing, I wish I had colleagues like that. Tae Moo's grandfather was an adorable old man ^^ Also Choi Byung Chan did a good job as Ha Min, his acting has improved.

The plot didn't need that many episodes but I found myself enjoying spending time watching this series. The story doesn't drag per se but it doesn't have major dramatic plot turns either. In the end I could have watched this series on and on and on.. the characters just felt so nice and realistic. The humor was just right and it was easy to forget everything else while watching the their banter.

I definitely recommend this to everyone who loves watching romantic k-dramas. Cheers ~*

Plot, what plot? // Chemistry? Never heard of

Want to get bored while watching BL? Then this is the drama you have been looking for.

In the first episodes I kind of liked the weird approach and He Bo Wei/Tai Che Ni's cheery character but after a while it got old. The plot seems okay at first but when you finish watching you'll be like 'plot, what plot? did something happen?'

The main pairing has zero chemistry. Linus Wang did okay but Sean Chang was acting like he was not in a BL drama. The 2nd pairing with Anson and Jason was better and some scenes had me giggling of joy. But then their story got a bit boring as well.
And for the last few episodes we suddenly got even a 3rd couple. What was that even about? I'm still confused.

If you want to watch this because of hot scenes - look elsewhere. I recommend Love in the air.

This drama doesn't have any rewatch value. I don't know why I even completed watching it. Probably because of Linus Wang and Anson Chen. They should have been a pair :')

Why should you watch it?

Because of the prince and the tortoise :')

But seriously:
If you haven't watched Part 1, then don't watch this. This doesn't stand alone.

If you loved the first part of the series and felt like there were unresolved matters and want to enjoy watching the main couple more, then watch Part 2. All the same characters are there.
I gave this overall score of 7.5/10. Because I felt that the plot is now completed (or well used) and this was an okay continuation to the 1st part. They could have changed the characters (/enemies)a bit. Now the plot felt repetitive.
