Lee Jae Kyoon for a main role!

It will be short and concise review. The acting wasn't bad and the script wasn't bad either. However, many episodes were dragged out, too many side scenes and weird out-of-nowhere characters were added. I don't understand the appearance of some childhood friend or the switching of children. It made practically no difference to the main story, but we lost 1 episode because of it ? Someone had too many ideas and wanted to cram them all into one drama.

When it comes to characters, most of them were well build. Main couple .... they looked great together and played well theirs characters, just didn't feel them together. Not enough of chemistry. Ok Taec Yeon had it more with Jeon Yeo Been in Vincenzo thank with Kim Hye Yoon here ? I also feel his "best villain ever" character will for long be his best role as he was more than excellent there. Here he turned out to be mediocare+.

I cannot say much about Kim Hye Yoon as I saw her now for the first time but I will be on a search for something else with her? Lee Jae Kyoon on the other hand was EXCELLENT! PEOPLE! GIVE THIS GUY A MAIN ROLE! He is incredible. To be honest, the main storyline could be omitted and replaced with Park family. Love the complexity of relations and interaction. I don't want to reveal too much about the content because a lot happens in each episode so all I will say is that the history of the Park family was ultra interesting! Who would have expected such a twist at the end! But it was too late revealed to save the show. The drama was too stretched till then and lost it's shape ? Nevertheless, I am recommending the show but just don't expect too much of it.

HALF SPOILER: If you decide to watch this drama, be on a look out for crown prince. His and king's story is shocking. I didn't understand my immediate dislike towards the king since the first moments but later I exacly knew why it happened! WHAT AN ASSHOLE! He totally deserved that what came at him.

Great with some plotholes that don't ruin the shop

A piece of history, a few scenes in See You In My 19th Life and I already want to turn on period k-drama! I love Joseon places dramas and it's been a while since I watched one. There is never enough adventures with Hyo-Seop Ahn !

I fell in love with this series from the first episode. It featured everything I'm crazy about - children connected by destiny, mysterious creature, court schemes, loving couple despite being evil-faited and story twists at the end. The whole story is well organized and it was fantasic to watch! So far so good, this year I have a great streak of hitting brilliant dramas (ok ... part from 2 poor choices but the procentage is small ^^) and I hope it will be like this until the end of 2023!

Pluses:
+ Charming leads
+ Cast, secondary characters & acting
+ Detail and admiration of the art
+ Visuals & special effects

Minuses:
- Male lead behaves too much like a sighted person than blind one. Feels unrealistic
- Female lead plays too much of a woman of XXI century than Joseon dated one
- Weird and sudden receiving of the sight by female lead
- Unsatisfactory ending with a few unresolved issues
- Never expleined mystic creatures

Lovers of the Red Sky has some issues, nevertheless drama is a 7 for me. It was a great escape from the dramas of the present day which I am watching now. I love fantasy productions and I will probably never grow out of them ? Throw in romance, destiny and magic and I'm done! I'm sold! I watched the first episodes with bated breath as well as the last ones. The middle ones were slower but still intense. It's definitely not a drama to take nap ?

Spring is hope and new beginning

At first, I really didn't like the drama. I didn't quite understand what the producers wanted to show, it was quite slow and there were constantly new characters and information that didn't change much in the storyline. It wasn't until episode 6 that the drama got me! Then, slowly, the sense of this series began to appear and the further I went, the more I liked it ?

After some deep thinking, I must say that this is not an easy-peasy drama ? I mean, you can simply benchwatch it and move on but when you actually focus on the plot you notice the fineness and hear what problems in life people may face already at young age.

At Distance Spring Is Green consists of the stories of several students but mainly focuses on 3. Each of them has been deprived of a certain aspect of life and so far they have tried to live by ignoring this problem. Thanks to the school weave of events, they gettto know each other and decide to face the obstacles.

I am full of admiration how much emotion the actors have put into these characters. It was enough to look at them once and you can read from their faces what is going on in their hearts ? I cannot chose whom I like more because all 3 main characters were fantastic.

What more can I say about this drama? It is like spring, it warms you up ? At Distance (....) has unique vibe and even though it speaks about hard topics like poverty, aggression, trauma etc. it does it in a hopefull way. It doesn't make life seem gray and sad while fallowing the story. On the contrary, it shows that you can get out of even the most unpleasant situations in life and enjoy living.

Nothing lifts the heartbeat better than a revange goals

Song Hye Kyo (as Moon Dong Eun) and Im Ji Yeon (as Park Yeon Jin) were beyond amazing. The way they conveyed the relationship between their characters, the emotions swirling inside and the madness in their eyes was all unforgetable. I already knew in Descendands of the Sun that Song Hye Kyo is a very good actress, but here ... paired with Im Ji Yeon, she is untamed ? She bloomed like a flower.

I don't know if I've ever seen such a well-created evil female character. I'm not just talking about Korean productions, but generally everything I've ever seen. Im Ji Yeon seems to have played role of her life as she was flawless from start to finish. ? But praise should also go to the young actresses that playes teenage versions of main characters Shin Ye Eun as young Yeon Jin and Jung Ji So as young Dong Eun. They gave character and dynamics to the relationship of the main characters.

Moving on to other perturbators. Each of them contributed to the destruction of the life of the main character and several other girls from high school *********** SPOILER *********** and I will reveal that each of them received the punishment they deserved.*********** END OF SPOILER *********** When it comes to their acting, they also did well because you hate them from the beginning of the series to the very end without a moment's hesitation ?

I don't know what else I could say about the series without revealing its content .... It's brilliant and that's probably the only thing that matters before you start watching it ?

Great young actors!

To be honest, Kim Young Dae was my main reason to see this drama, only later did I notice that the story is very interesting as well. I liked his performance as "The Penthouse" more that I would expect and was curious that he would be able to perform well in completely different environment - the role of a king in the Joseon era. AND HE DID I!

The start of the drama was difficult because the first two episodes seem to turn in all directions but as soon as I reached episode 3 everything came to one point. Forbidden Marriage contain some popular clichés: intrigues at the palace, wicked stepmother, Cinderella-like heroine but this doesn't affect its positive reception. Humorous and romantic situations increase that reception. I love how they incorporated handsome men showing off their biceps, reading books to "wake them up" and unexpected references to other dramas like Hotel Del Luna considered bedtime stories ??

The drama was still very well balanced between the aforementioned himoristic elements and the seriousness of the situation in which the main couple is. I fought with myself for a long time whether to give the drama 7 or 6.5 points, but because of poor chemistry between the leads, it ended up on 6.5/10. Certain shots and actions of the actors showed that there was something between them, but it was not enough to accept it as a real feeling between the lady-swindler and the king ? These are young actors who need to learn a little more or have better screen partners ?? Nonetheless Kim Young Dae and Park Ju Hyun are on the verge of being great actors.

Misogynist fells in love with a strong feminist

Love To Hate You was a quite production which I really liked not only for it's comedy and beautiful fight scenes but also for the questionably different ways of treating of males and females. I am feminist who just like Yeo Mi Ran hates when someone says "you did it good for a girl" or "girls shouldn't do that" pfffff Watch me! The war of the genders is treated here with a lot of humor but also shows the ugly truth.

For a series with only 12 episodes, the main characters were very well presented to the public. The secondary ones were not so well presented, but it was enough to like them. As for the acting itself and the cast, the actors were very well matched to the characters they played. Lawyer Mi Ran was not the most beautiful but she had a hidden beauty and fantastic character ?, on the other hand Kang Ho was gorgeous but his character ... could be better ?? Together they create an explosive mixture and over time allow each other to solve relationship problems.

Although the acting and story contained in Love to Hate You is not up to Thirty-Nine, it deserves a good score of 6.5/10 ? because it talks about a big problem faced by many societies in the world - inequality in thinking about a woman and a man. I'm not going to manifest anything here, don't worry about that ? I am a feminist but also a realist and I know women's limitations. Certain professions are made for men due to their physique, and a woman cannot overcome that. Sorry but no. However professions like lawyer, doctor or stay-at-home parent.... I don't see a difference if it's a man or a woman. Mi Ran's father's attitude is aggravating and I'd love to punch him in the nose myself.... ?

Prosopagnosia trope is real?

I have found this drama by accident while searching for "What's wrong with secretary Kim?" and watched it without any regrets ? It would seem that when you lie down with severe bronchitis, nothing will make you come alive better than syrup or hot broth but this show did a really great job! Story was fresh and unique and convinced my brain and body to focus on something else than coughing and sleeping ?

Maybe Do Min Ik and Jung Gal Hee started their relationship with cheating, what they built in the boss-secretary relationship was beautiful and unique. The story of the couple was very cool, but Veronica Park beat them anyway. This is one of those characters that after seeing it will stay in your head for the rest of your life.... Veronica Park nobo seyo .... I hear it in my head as soon as someone says that name ??

Good drama with good cast and fresh script. I'm giving it 6/10, it's not extraordinary but reccomendable and won't waste your time. Ideal for lazy watching during the lockdown but if you search for an action - have a look for example at "Mystic Pop-Up Bar".

Venus is the boss <3

The love story between the trainer and his mentee begins somewhere during training sessions and coincidental meetings in private time. The scenes with the main characters are cute but not overly too sweet. The focues very much on Kang's obesity and the diseases it caused, as well as on Kim's continued recovery from childhood trauma. Both characters show that you must fight for health and not give up. I felt in love with them becuae of that. Their stubbornness, openness and determination could convince many to exercise - they did convince me!? - but not necessarily the sterile and tasteless diet that John Kim follows ?

All the supporting characters, Jang Joon-sung, Kim Ji-woong, Oh Soo-jin and Im Woo-shik, are very diverse and bring freshness to the show and make it more multi-dimensional. They refer to the problems of violence, the happiness that can be achieved in meeting the right people and brotherly love.

The series is not perfect. A few stories could be better presented or explained in more depth like the backgroung of Kim Ji-Woong which remains the great unknown. Despite those flaws, this kdrama is very pleasant and positive to watch! ?

Perfectly balanced mixture of laughter, romance , peculiar weirdness, diverse characters, good acting skills and timing. Maybe the script was not that great as many say and story not so unique but sufficiently different to others. So even though drama follows some common rom-com elements, it still managed to shine. There wouldn't be so many recommendations across the world if it wouldn't, right? ?

When it comes to the leads, I definately prefer Kim Mi So over Lee Young Joon. His character was great don't get me wrong. Fantastic performance. But! Kim Mi So was way more realistic, current and common. He was a kdrama character all the way ? The further you go in the drama the more you notice that the story is shown from more her point of view than his. The focus went from her work, to her house, from the family to Young Joon. We slowly could see what is actually wrong with secretary Kim ? Mr Lee of course played a big role and there was a nice balance present through out whole serie but she was the centerpiece.

Oppa choice disappointment

I heard True Beauty is one of those dramas that a respected k-drama fan needs to see along with Inheritors/Heirs, Gangnam Beauty and Boys over flowers. I've already seen two from this list, Gangnam Beauty one on the waiting list but the last one .... sorry but that is not going to happen ? With all respect to the producers and fans of the drama but I cannot stand Boys' haircuts and clothing styles. I would die from laugh while watching. What is also special about True Beauty and what I found out while collecting pictures, is that the drama is based on WebToon! I heard so much about this platform and it's second time I see its drama and I must admit that both Mystic Pop-Up Bar and True Beauty made a very good impression on me. They have a very nice storyline and they take up serious problems and show it in a refreshing way.

Because I way more prefer Ju-Kyung with Seo-Joon than Soo-Ho. I mean, I understand why she chose him – she can be herself with him, he saw her without make up at first and still felt in love with her, he was the one that lifted her spirit (and she did something similar to him). But I liked her and her behavior more when Seo-Joon was around. There was an obvious chemistry between these two! So many sparkles! Also Hwang In-Yeop’s (Seo-Joon) acting was on way higher level than Cha Eun-Woo’s (Soo-Ho). Even though both were quite natural with their acting, In-Yeop seemed to be in his place while Eun-Woo was sometimes robotic. In the WebToon, Ju-Kyung chooses Soo-Ho so of course the producers couldn't change that …. what a pity ?

Based on that I wasn’t satisfied with the ending as Seo-Joon didn’t get his happy ending. At this point I share the frustration of other k-drama fans. Producers waited with him being rejected to the last moment and we couldn’t see how is he doing. Maybe if that would happened earlier we could have see him recovering from a heartbreak and would save me from the same feeling.

Is True Beauty worth watching despite Oppa choice? Of course! ? It is an amazing drama that I will definately one day comeback to. There are many memorable scenes, catchy music, the cast that in majority has a great and deep development. It is definately fair to say that it was one of the cutes dramas I saw this year with a oryginal script that I purely enjoyed!

Good story, good actors, great show

I got totally lost in the first seaso and couldn't take my eyes off it. So when I found out there was a second season, I had to see it. I like how small changes in the story can affect the story of one couple but still have a similar end result aka love. Not many Chinese dramas have only 16 episodes and so well done. I totally recommend watching both season!

Personally, I couldn't miss the opportunity to see male and female lead again because they are heavenly beautiful and look great together. I would love to see other dramas where they star as they are both great actors.

Really well-intended love story

Great love story, thoughtful plot, vigorous development, good actors, unexpected twists, dozens of clifhangers .... everything was really well thought.... or maybe let's say well-intended ??

The way the male lead seduced the female lead was not very moral and positive, but luckily he did it out of love ?? In the real world, this situation would probably not have such an ending, but in the world of drama, everything fits together. As for the characters themselves, both are very well played. Personally, I wouldn't get along with a male lead, but for that smile I could try to be better ??

Princess should have better male lead next her

Oh Yeon Seo created a wonderful character and just like in Korean Odyssey I couldn't take my eyes off her. She is not only beautiful but also talented ?? Princess Hye Myung was amazing with questioning rules and discarding marriage arrangements. I adored how much she wanted to study medicine. Although at first the character may seem insufferable, irritating and unpleasant, it quickly changes. The more you learn about the princess' story and dig in way of thinking, the more you fall in love with her ? I love when fictional characters are multidimensional and, just like a human being, they not only change under the influence of time and people, but also gain when you get to know them better ?

I like a lot the overall idea of the story - two characters who don't get along but find love later on. However the chemistry between the leads was a bit off ? Chemistry per se was there, or at least in the romantic tension form, but I couldn't feel the love between the characters. The fact that they would end up as a married couple filled me with doubt ? Hye Myung and Gyeon Woo are nice as a couple but not married one. If she was to marry someone, I suggest Eternal Monarch Lee Gon. Not only would they look gorgeous together, his woman on that show is mediocare & lame and he should be with someone better ?

Don't throw yourself at big money because you can die

There are too many characters to speak about them all so I will just say that each of them did a great job and I am full of admiration for the team. The series was not easy, rather hard to digest. Productions that are based on human morality are always difficult and can backfire on producers. Fortunately Squid Game was a hit?

I don't know who came up with the idea to turn children's games into a bloodbath, but applause for him/her. He/she totally ruined it for the next generation ? In principal the "players" suppose to be equal as they were stripped down from outside connections, money and sanity. But still some managed to cheat and the "organizers" intentionally exposed players with lower numbers to the first fire. NOT NICE! ?

I don't know if you can say that the drama has its message because what would it be "don't throw yourself at big money because you can die"? I do not think so. Because is it one of the first Korean Netflix production it has a lot of american vibe. This is also why it is so widely propular around the world. When you would start to compare it to Goblin or It's Ok Not To Be Ok in a minute you would notice how mediocare Squid Game is. I am not denying the actors' talent because they were very good just the style was a bit off for me for korean market. So I rate this drama 6/10 but despide the odds still recommend it to watch as it is a great fun ?

Netflix did it gooooood!

The series was anticipated by many, including myself. I only saw Hyo-seop Ahn once in Abyss and I really liked it, so Business Proposal had to be on my screen the moment it came on Netflix! Rarely do you get dramas where both the primary and secondary couple have such interesting stories and you wish the episodes were stretched to the max to see more sweet moments between them. I don't know which couple I adore more! ??

The story of Abyss was way more unique and imprinted itself stronger in my memory. Despite that, Business Proposal is a very enjoyable romantic drama. They use every possible clichés and stereotypical elements of the genre but it sells. Oooh it sells! Drama has ended sometime ago and people are still raving about it ?

Moving on to female lead. Shin Ha Ri is not a boring scientist who devotes herself to her work. She becomes recognizable thanks to her achievements, which makes it easier to believe that in a large corporation she has a chance to stand face to face with the president ?

Secondary love story .... Cha Sung Hoon and Jin Young Seo were so so so so soooo great together! I was dying for their love and I wished they had more screentime. It's been a long time (if ever) since I was so drawn to the love story of secondary characters in the series. They were so sweet and crazy that I was getting pure pleasure from watching them approach each other ?
