I've decided to follow a similar path as my parents who don't rate their drama, just instead I'll have general tiers.

As always for someone who watches too much and likes distinct separation, this didn't work.

Genuine favourites, basically standards for what I'm looking for

Same as 10 but has some frequent but small nitpicks (eg. seemingly unnatural reactions)

Great but has some shortcomings (eg. not the best development)

Great as a 9 but usually has one large annoying plot hole

Good enough to finish, but nothing really stood out
6 and below
Most things with this rating are on my dropped list. I'm pretty good at prejudging stuff so these are not common

ComedyI always have and always will enjoy Japanese comedy. Haven't seen good Korean comedy yet but I'm sure it exists
ActionAction is Action, it just works if timed right
HistoricalI like history, simple as that
RomanceWhen not obviously unrealistic, it can be very entertaining to watch
LifeJust like the anime equivalent (SoL) it is usually very relaxing
FriendshipBro/Sismance is always good, usually done pretty realistically too
All Aviation tagsI'm a pilot in training and an aviation fan
All Hospital tagsA random interest of mine, thanks TMD
PsychologicalI do like very brain poking TV

All Homosexual tagsNot my thing and never will be. Tolerable if it's a side character's trait
YouthSpecifically basic highschool drama. Exact same developments every time istg, lesson is always something so basic
MelodramaAlways something superficial. This is a prejudice I bring from anime where melodrama IS always garbage, but not so much here, though I still don't like it
NT - C-DramaThe dubbing always gets me, dropped a show because of it (and other reasons)
NT - Heavy CGI use/Isekai level fantasyCan only be done with a ridiculously huge budget or in animation, so this is really only a problem with most J-Drama
NT - Deus ex MachinaIf obviously taken seriously then you can see why that's a glaring issue
