Absolutely enjoy this piece of adventure, you will feel the excitement, anticipation and anxiety as if you are part of the team. Story and acting is superb. There is no perfect heroes in here, they each have strengths and also weakness and made mistakes just like any human being. The action choreography is well directed and for an Asian drama, i felt the CGI is pretty awesome too. Some interesting animal characters were introduced that were related to mythical creatures such as phoenix & yeti. My fav is the Nuqing rooster, that is 1 non human character that i sure missed a lot, such a fighter. Romance is not the main focal point but kudos to Venga Gao & Xin Zhi Lei, they both exuded such a strong chemistry & sexual tension that as a viewer you just wish they would kiss , roll on the bed & produce some beautiful babies haha. Pan Yue Ming deserves some credit for bringing to life as the flawed chief Chen, he might not be prefect but he sure care for his men & i genuinely believes why his follower has such deep respects and loyalty to him. The Xieling brotherhood touched my heart. This author sure is brutal as he just like killing off characters but probably that is to show how dangerous the life of a treasure hunter is. The only minor grip i have was the unsatisfactory ending, i know it follows the novel but why can't the director just tweak a bit to make it happier thus i cut out 0.5 stars for this.

2020 Hidden Gem

I watched this drama not knowing what to expect but i finished this drama with so much surprises, feeling a little anguish, a little relief and bucket loads of tears. It hit me right at the heart and gut. Dont be taken aback with my introductory explanation as you are in for a thrilling ride and you will not regret it. Even though it is a murder mystery/crime thriller, the way the plot twist and unravel will keep you on the edge of your seat. One of the winning points of this drama was how they tackle the subject of domestic violence ,abusive relationships, the impact of staying on in a toxic relationship with a narcissist and the prejudices against women even in our modern society. I like how they showed these through the development of the plot and subtlety weaves in these messages without becoming overtly preaching. Why i was overwhelmed with emotions as i watched this drama was the fact that most of the characters feature in this show is so real, tragic victim's like Zhong Mei Bao n her mom happens in real life and scumbags like Yan Yong Yuan existed in this world. By the time the drama draws down its final curtain i cant hold back my tears as it was such a bittersweet ending, it ain't a fairytale ending but it fits the drama & it ends with such a powerful message that amidst the darkness having a glimmer of light makes a lot of difference.

One of the sweetest rom com series i have ever watched. I personally felt this 2nd part is even better than its prequel. The leads has such sizzling chemistry and the director is generous in giving fans plenty of hot sweet kisses. Its quite funny that even 1 of the old characters in the drama "can't take it" how much PDA this couple display. The charm of this drama lies in the sweetness and it is creative of them to make the male lead played 2 characters of himself this time around. Hilarious to see how he is being jealous with his own self. Similar to part 1 great ost as well and this round with better budget the overall production looks better too. Kudos to the director to keep this drama short so it doesn't feel dragy and i did not skip any scenes at all. I would rewatch this and not feel bored and its the type of drama to watch to unwind, destress and put a smile to your face

I was excited to check out this drama due to the high rating. The 1st 10 episodes were great, there was a lot funny moments and i quite like the friendship shown among the ladies. Then things just get dragged on. The second couple bore me to death and the main couple felt too innocent for their age. Plus Why must every 1st love college drama ends in marriage in China. I know its rom com but the marriage felt force. Lin Yi has limited acting range while Fair Xing is a stronger actress. This drama could have easily ended at 16 episodes instead of unnecessary dragging and i found myself skipping through some scenes. Conclusion this drama is like a sweet craving you had, after you had it its just to fulfil that craving and the taste didn't linger on. I can't even recall the songs in the drama or want to rewatch any of the scenes. Sorry to those who like it but it's not for me

Lighhearted sweet comedy

Watch this without any high expectations and that could be the reason i enjoyed this drama a lot. Another plus point is the short length of the drama thus no draggy scenes. The pacing was just nice and there were indeed a few funny scenes. Glad there is no annoying thirs wheel. Acting is still quite raw but not cringey and the leads look good together. This is recommended if you are looking for a sweet relaxing watch and a drama that reminds you of your youth fantasy. Hope there is a season 2 of this drama. I hope more romantic comedy can follow similar route of making it short and sweet. I can't stand draggy stuffs especially when there is nothing much to look forwards to.

I absolutely love love love the chemistry between the leads & also their sidekicks Zi Rui & Bai Ji. For a low budget production, this drama was saved by the leads chemistry & the unique storyline which revolves around a matriach society. There were a lot of funny burst out loud laughing moments.: Who would have thought an ancient valuable treasure like Dragon bone would actually smell so pungent & bad, how Qian Qian plan to set up chu chu & han shuo always failed, bai ji arriving at the wrong moments all the time n much much more funny scenes. Another gem i found from this drama was the discovery of Ryan Ding, such a talented actor at a young age, he can switched to so many different expressions & he is able to exude a charismatic aura even though he does not have a conventional handsome face. I fell for his loving gaze towards her female lead (that is his trademark i guess). The only set back was the ending seems rushed and lacked the punch which was a little bit anticlimatic in my opinion. I wish they would showed more scenes involving Han Shuo city as i find han shuo mom to be an interesting character. My final verdict please watch it for a light funny rom com

One of the best C-drama i have ever watched, there wasn't a single boring plotline & i did not fast forward any scenes. Excellent acting from all the cast including the supporting role. My favourite is definetely the Fan family , they are the only ones who truly care & support each other whereas the rest has a hidden agenda beneath. I also admired Fei jie & despite his sloppy appearance he is a true leader , seeing how united his team was from the investigation bureau even without his presence,( his team go all out to protect Fan Xian when he is in trouble). There is a right balance of comedy, drama & suspense at end of each episode. The only bummer was the cliffhanger ending! I had to wait another 2 years , that is a torture for the fans. If you pay close attention, you will be able to figure out who is the big boss /ultimate villain in the end, i managed to guess it

Lovely romance drama that requires some patience to be immersed in this plot. I absolutely got sucked into Vengo performance in ELOD as he is require to play 3 different characters & all 3 grows on you as the story progresses. Initially i felt chemistry between Dong Hua dijun & Feng Jiu was a bit lacking, later part i realized that is how it is supposed to be as Dijun is known to have a cold demeanour, thus will be indifferent to FJ, but the moment he starts falling for her , the coldness starts to thaw & the chemistry grew stronger between them. I enjoyed their story arc the most when they "officially" met during bai Qian weeding, at fanyin valley (i cant help but get swooned whenever Dijun called FJ xiaobai) & also the dream of aranya. Dijun attempts to get closer & have more skinship with FJ were smooth & romantic. Overall the other supporting cast did great too my favs were Lian Song, Si Ming, Yan Chi Wu, A Li, Chong Lin & Cheng Yu, they add on some comic relief & remained loyal till the end. The setback of this drama was the length, if some unnecessary draggy scenes were cut out (eg the mortal realm story can be concluded in 5 episodes, Ye Qingti character can be remove, i do not really see the purpose of his story & Ji Heng love story with her guard) it would have been 35 episodes instead & the ending seems too rush, only 5 minutes of display of happy ending for our leads. I would have given it a 10 stars rating if it weren't for the setbacks mentioned.

Pleasantly surprised by this low budget drama. By coincidence i watch some clips of this drama from YouTube, so decided to check out the full drama & i did not regret as it was such a funny & entertaining rom com. Both the leads did a great job in bringing out the sweetness of a couple, the plot is simple and i love the part of 2 souls trapped in 1 body. So much fluff but not a second i felt its cringey. Good job to the production team for including some memorable soundtrack for a low budget production. The songs are great &i even saved it on my playlist.

Heartbreaking truth on bullying

Bullying is a prevalent problem in many countries and its the bigger problem lies with the fact its a problem that is swept under the carpet most of the time. This drama holds no barred from revealing the impact of bullying has on its victims. The violence and abused shown is acceptable for my end albeit still disturbing on your mind and it's needed to show us that bullying is never to be taken lightly. Jung Haein carries his role so convincingly and he is such a likeable character even though he is not your typical hero but he held his moral grounds where its needed and defend his dignity. Sergeant Park with his limited power did his best to do what is right even though the outcome might not favour him. Lets not forget the comical sidekick Corporal Han , he has the best chemistry with Private Ahn n i secretly wished they can continue on to police academy n become detective partners where they solve the crimes together. The ending surely breaks my heart n i cried over the death sokju, when he asked them what have you done to stop it (the abuses) it hits right to my heart because in real life how many of us choose to close a blind eye to unfairness, bullying n abuse, in a way all of us are guilty of becomimg the onlooker which is the finale episodes title. The ending is tragic but it is the more reason why it tells us change must take place

My 1st ever Jdorama

This drama was nostalgic to me because it was the 1st ever Jdorama i watched and spun my interest into Jdorama world before Kdrama took over. Till today i am not really sure why i like this drama perhaps i find this couple really relatable in a way they were not perfect lovers to start with and the dilemma that the FL faced is also what ladies face when it comes to choices of love. At times we made wrong choices either because we love too deeply or too afraid to say no or we take things for granted. Now thinking back the very stark difference between J & K drama is J drama is much more realistic n often the romance drama touches on other societal themes while K drama is fairytale like undying sweet love and perhaps that explains why kdrama remains popular as most still like fairytale stories
