The acting of the FL got on my nerves.

First I have to tell I like Luo Zheng and his acting. And that made me watch till the last period. I like how he expresses feelings with small facial movements. And he's portraying the roles he plays very well. But I often just forwarded when the FL had her immature crashes of doubts and conclusions. And as for the unsuccessful twin sister her acting was soo exaggerated . I think she couldn't switch well between the roles and her way of expressing innocence was just infuriating me. The story sometimes was expanding like chewing gum and made me impatient. It's not engaging and somehow senseless, as the explaination of the ML's creepiness comes too late and is insufficient. And I don't like FLs who are dumb, jealous and spoiled all together. I often thought it's a pity for so many good actors to be dissipated in this drama. Like for example the ML, and Ding Jia Wen, who played his role wholeheartedly. Also the female supporting characters and Su Xiao Ding, who dispite having kind of a dumb role, but played it well. If you want to see some of the actors, watch it forward jumping like I did. I'll definitely not watch it again.

A iovely peak into everyday chinese society

Such a lovely drama. It's interesting to see the daily lives of normal people not just super rich business families like often in modern dramas. I absolutely love Xiao Zhan's gifted expressiveness in acting this character with a litany of different feelings, which he is able to convey so much through his face. Bai Baihe complements him perfectly and she also is an excellent actress. They have a good chemistry between them, absolutely suiting the story and message of the plot. The plot itself is very enjoyable without exaggerated twists and turns but showing real lives and real problems and prejudices. The doubts people live through when they find it in their heart to step outside the social norms and live according to their feelings are very well portrayed. The drama shows us our own limited perceptions while watching from a convenient distance. All the main and supporting characters have been very well depicted. The acting of Liu Xun was flowing so naturally and has improved enormously since earlier performances. For me this will be an absolute rewatch and go-to piece when I want to feel good.

Embarrassingly stupid

I watched the drama till the end, often fast forwarding the scenes I could not bear, just because I like Wei Zhe Ming's, Wu Chong Xuan's and of course the adorable Sun Si Cheng's acting.

The drama claims to evolve around some children's psychologists and I couldn't believe how psychologically harmful the story spins.

The role of the FL lead is so badly written and as badly acted out, too. A "children's psychologist" who tells her client/stepson that his father is crazy and stupid, who allows to be pushed into pretending to have married the child's father, being pushed around, scolded and badly (mis-)treated like a child And besides all the stupid and heavily harmful treatments and comments towards the child (as the story line is, of course) she also tries tooooo hard to act caring and motherly towards the little one. But if you have an eye for it you see that she can't even ACT like that, often not knowing how to hold the child or use her hands on him... she doesn't maintain eye contact with him, unless it is especially needed for a close-up scene. and then it's extremely exaggerated. She also exaggerates being cute and innocent but heavily failing. It doesn't come naturally to her, it always looks like ACTING - poorly. I've seen her in 1 or 2 other dramas but don't remember her that annoying.

I'm aware that the performance of her role is partly dependant on the director and screen writers, who have also done a bad job here. The screen-writing ,directing as same as the editing is so lacking, it was really nerve-wrecking at times...

The ML's acting was well executed and consistent in whole, the same can be said of the 2nd and 3rde ML's, their story development was not as sensless as the FL's.

If you want to see a cute child's heart-warming acting performance and some good looking, well acting male leads and are ready to close down your brains against some illpgical and embarrassing actions and dialogues you can watch this drama.

This drama was worth waiting entusiastically for every single episode.

The acting of the ML Chen Xingxu was outstanding. His facial expressions tell it all. The FL's acting was amazing, too. Actually all the main cast made this drama worthwhile watching. The costumes were beautiful, the scenery was well chosen and well filmed. I enjoyed the OST and even rewinded often to the beginning again to enjoy the beautiful intro song. All in all it was one of the best C-dramas I've watched. The plot kept me interested all the way along. There were no absurd turns and twists, the whole story and the performance was fluent and engaging. For me it's a 10 out of 10. The only thing missing was due to the ending, where I felt there could have been some future perspective or homecoming. But that's really my personal expectation. Still I find this drama spectacular. Bravo to the whole team. I’ll definitely rewatch.

A story of everyday life with progress and respect

I really liked this drama although it is completely out of my genre. The plot, the character developments, the scenery, the OST... I enjoyed all of it. But what me absolutely addicted to it, was the acting of all characters, especially the superb acting of Wang Rui Chang. He and the FL were acting so naturally, so believeable that at times I completely forgot it's a drama and not their real life. Which ususally does not happen to me. KUDOS to the actors. I also enjoyed that the plot was about normal people in everyday life, not super rich families with their super spoiled heirs and intrigues. Just people like you and me (actually rather my grandkids ;) with joy and worry, discovering themselves and how they want to stand in life. I recommend this drama for sure and will rewatch it for sure.

What a shame

I tortured myself till episode 12 because I didn't want to believe that this drama could get worse and worse. I love Bai Lu, she's a superb actress and she even tried to give some facial expressions to this disappointing role. It's embarrassing to watch her in such a self-depreciating story. What a shame. An actress of her caliber should be able to choose her roles. The main lead Wang Hedi carried the same expression - his Godfather-like mafia boss nothing can touch me face - throughout all episodes trying to sprinkle in a slight movement of half of his lips probably symbolizing a smile, usually when his character had trapped the FL in one of his misogynist plots. In general I can see a slide in the new modern popular C-dramas towards more powerful men, just being rich and vengeful and more and more FL roles giving the impression of being very youn, inexperienced, cuuute, dependent and dumb. Once again what a pity !!!
