Versus - the Stars have aligned for this one

When I first came to know this movie, it was through a local youtuber's channel, who made a series of videos, reviewing the whole movie. By the time I've encountered said series, it was already 10 years old. He ripped the movie's stupidity apart.

Anyways, back to the movie. This movie, to me, felt like a truly hidden gem. At first I didn't comprehend any of it, and just wanted to get a good laugh out of the video commentary I've mentioned earlier. But then it happened to grew on me. A lot.

This movie is an accidental masterpiece. This is most likely a case of being so bad, that it's so good, but hear me out.

The film itself starts, by blasting into your face about 666 gates (very satanic) existing on this planet's surface, and somewhere in Japan, in the forest of retribution or whatever, exists the 444th gate. Pretty edgy.

The music is great, atmospheric, it fits the movie. The last song is euphoric, and it accompanies a genuinely good scene.

The story is edginess turned up to 11.
The gangsters, who are introduced at the beginning are in an out icons. Everyone in Versus acts as eccentrical as humanly possible. They dance around, lick guns, make contorted facial expressions and stupendously edgy remarks, as if they were 15. This movie apparently takes itself very seriously. At least I cannot decide if it does. The ambiguity of this is great!
A pink/red haired ninja guy also just descends from the sky. Why? Just because. He can apparently levitate.
The ending also harbors a HUGE plot twist.
It's ridiculous 10/10.
