After interesting beginning, ending flops.

I thought the beginning had an interesting premise. Being a romance drama I expected the plot to have many twists and turns until the ML and the FL found their way to true love. The drama got more and more interesting for me as each episode unfolded. I enjoyed the young man's perseverance as he was thrown obstacle after obstacle trying to block his professional success. I both loved and hated all the attempts to keep the young couple from finding the love they had for each other. NOTE: Though the Ml and the FL portray brother and sister at home for the sake of the mother's mental health due to her real son's death in a fire, these two are not blood-related. There is NO incest in this drama. That said, we come to the ending. With all the drama that followed our young lovers, we expected a happy ending. What we got was junk, totally un-necessary, and an anger-provoking conclusion. As the story got near the end, I was thinking of a very good rating but the ending completely blew it.

It is too bad that the story ended the way it did. I thought the acting was good, the drama throws one back and forth with joy and frustration. I loved the performances by all the characters. The title says it all, there is an irreplaceable love between them and they come to show it, to live it. It was marvelous right up to the last episode and then...

Cute Romance Story and China's Pride

I don't know what it takes to make a good film, production values and technology and such but... The main stars and supporting cast were all wonderful. I started watching this drama because it looked mildly interesting and I didn't see anything else at the moment. As I watched the story became richer and more interesting. The progression of the love story was extremely satisfactory and learning about the Chinese civil air industry was fascinating. A side note to the Chinese: Congratulations on your new Chinese designed and built airliner.
I'm glad I caught this drama and it was well worth my time to watch it. Wang Kai and Seven Tan were an excellent pair together.

The Wolf - Emotionally Intense Drama

The Wolf is the most intense drama I've seen to date and it seems like it will remain so for some time into the future. The two main male leads gave great and even astounding performances. Contrary to what most people think, the most powerful performance was given by Li Gin in her role as Ma Zhai Xing/Princess. While Darren Wang and Xiao Zhan gave strong performances as resourceful and confident men and warriors, Li Gin really provided the depth from immature giddiness to total loss, grief, and despair. There were several times when Ma Zhai Xing's hopes and aspirations were lifted only to be dashed that Li Gin's emotional portrayals ripped my heart out. Feelings that only someone who lost a very dear loved one could know. I know some will disagree but, I think men don't struggle nearly as hard with loss and challenges as women feel the loss and grief of betrayal. I know what I just said is controversial, but as far as this drama went, I believe it was Li Gin that gave this drama its depth and power.

Frustrating Series

The first two or three episodes looked very engrossing. Following episodes were somewhat mixed. I became very annoyed by many of the characters as the story progressed, especially HePing. What an idiot! The character Han Sen started off as an idiot but eventually matured and became quite likeable. Ah Li, (2nd female lead), was a woman possessed. Haven't you known one like her? I think there were too many episodes. I became very exasperated with all the leads at one point or another. The supporting roles were fine and provided some relief from all the main characters idiocy. I thought it odd t.hat Qian Man/Nan Sheng Character wore chokers throughout the program. Some resembling "collars", if you know what I mean. I kinda enjoyed the series but was not as emotionally involved as I usually get.

I'm not a technical reviewer just a plain drama viewer. I enjoyed this drama. It is, IMHO, an intellectual drama and I guess that's why I liked it. Granted there doesn't appear to be much high drama but there were interesting sub-plots that were always popping in and out. Granted also, there isn't much character development but that didn't bother me as the story to me was about everyday people's stories. For me, as an American, I was very interested in the real life events of people's lives and how Chinese law works on their behalf and in society. I think the character Da Xi is the most interesting character in the drama and as a woman with some fashion sense, I loved Li Na, her wardrobe, her cool, collected, and knowledgeable attitude. After all, she is "Li Na". There were instances where I cried and I laughed. I liked this drama.

Great Science Fiction Thriller

This is one of the best science fiction thrillers I've ever seen. I love the way the screen-writer flushes out all the characters. How or why time is manipulated is extremely intriguing. Characters are wounded individuals trying to understand why they are where they find themselves and how they relate to each other. I have to say that I was so moved by the main theme song, "Red River Valley". It was a song that my family sang when my Uncle visited and would play his guitar in my childhood. The arrangement of the song for this drama actually makes me cry and is so beautiful when sung in Chinese. I can't wait to see season 2.
