I have to admit that I haven't read the actual manga, Hana Yori Dango, so I still don't know which of its adaptation stayed true to it. But anyway, I guess that doesn't matter to a lot of viewers. Even if this only has few episodes as compared to the Korean and Taiwanese versions, it still managed to show the solid story. The flow of happenings are smooth. There isn't a dull moment -- or at least for me. The fight scenes might not be as good as the other version, though, but it's still acceptable.

Oh! And it's nice that Nishikado and Akira have their good share of spotlight in the series. The friendship between the four is good to see.

In my opinion, Inoue Mao did a great job portraying Tsukushi Makino. She didn't need to act too cutesy since she's naturally cute. Pretty, even. Her fierce look suits her, too! The four guys did great, too! It's funny to think that the "stupid Domyouji" role fits Jun Matsumoto. Anyway, he and Inoue Mao have chemistry and that's good. I was amused by the fact that Oguri Shun's good at acting like some sleepyhead. In my opinion, the cast is well-selected. All of them did great.

The music is lovable. I especially liked the opening song.

I would definitely want to re-watch this someday.

Overall, I give this a 9 because I really do believe that it's great. I recommend this to:
- people who love rom-com
- people who want to watch a series who isn't too long but is still good
- fans of the manga and anime which go by the same title
- fans of the Chinese, Taiwanese, and Korean versions ('cause of the differences made)

This is a show to watch when one wants a good lighthearted show to lift up their mood. It's short, as many usual Japanese shows are, therefore everything that happens makes the plot move; it's not draggy. There are the exaggerated scenes, but I guess it's because it's adapted from a rom-com manga. And hey, it's part of its charm!

The casts are great. They portray their characters very well especially the two main leads, Yamamoto Yusuke and Nishiuchi Mariya.

I'd only seen Yamamoto Yusuke in Hana Kimi and Paradise Kiss before watching this so I still didn't know much about his acting skills (because he didn't have much appearance in both which I could use to assert if I like him or not). He didn't disappoint me, though. I believe he did a good job in portraying Yamada Ryu. There are scenes when I couldn't help but think that, "WHOA THERE! HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO FILM THAT?" Such scenes became the reason why I'm looking forward to see more of his shows. He is really admirable for me in this one.

Meanwhile, I've seen Nishiuchi Mariya in Seigi no Mikata and Switch Girl! so I have a pretty good impression of her. I believe she's at her best in this show whenever she's acting as Yamada Ryu.

As for others, I believe they did their job well. There are no other ones who I deemed so memorable except Ide Takuya and Kobayashi Ryoko, though.

The ending songs an upbeat one so it gives the feels for the show. In my opinion, though, it's not so outstanding. The music played on specific parts just fits the scenes.

For me, this is good to re-watch especially when stressed over academic stuff. HAHA! I truly enjoyed watching each and every episode. I'll definitely re-watch this someday.

I would recommend this to those stressed over work or school stuff. Or this can also be a break for those who want to pause watching melodrama shows. Or this can also be a show to watch for bonding time with friends.

For Jang Geun Suk's fans, you should watch this if you want to clearly imagine what kind of father he could possibly be in the future. Hoho!

Anyway, I think the story is cute. It could pass as a catchy film, especially for those looking for a movie that can make them squeal on how cute a character is. This could be seen as a lighthearted movie even though the issue of young people having kids is a serious one.

The acting is very good, in my opinion. I believe JGH portrayed his character very well. Song Ha Yoon did a good job, too! She suited the role of Kim Byeol perfectly. I found her really cute on most of her scenes. I don't know if I can consider what the adorable baby's appearance here as acting, but, yeah, I just got to say that he's soooo cute!

The music is good and suits the scenes.

This is one of the movies that I'd love to re-watch on dull moments because, well, I'm a sucker for cute babies.

For me, this is a really good movie. It's enjoyable to watch. Plus, it can make you go "aww" because of the baby's cuteness and adorableness. Hihi. I think this is something that everyone should see at least once.

For me, this started as an amusing show until the pacing of the story got too fast. I understand that they skipped a lot of time, but I just didn't really like how everything was shown so suddenly. The story's flow became... jumpy, instead of being smooth. The ending is nice, in my opinion, although not too great. For a 2004 film, I guess this is a fair one. Knowing that A Moment to Remember was released on the same year, though, makes me feel kinda disappointed in this one.

Watching this film of Ha Ji Won made me realize that she has really improved her acting. I consider her acting here as good, though. She's cute and all in the movie although her character's a silly girl. I think Kim Jae Won's acting here is good, too, despite his character being silly as well. He managed to pull off that "arrogant, rich guy" look.

I didn't pay much attention to the music.

It would probably take time -- and I mean a reaaaaally loooong time -- before I re-watch this.

A 6 from me. It could be entertaining to watch (despite some gross scenes). Anyone could give this a try if he just wants to kill a lot of time.
