So, if you're like me you've read all the other reviews. They're all right. The three stars and the ten stars. BOTH are present in the drama & it just depends on who you are and how the drama hits you.

So I agree with the reviewer who said it was trash. I’ m not gonna give it 3.5 stars, but I can see their perspective. This show was full of trash. But let me be specific: it is like trash punch at a frat party. REALLY enjoyable because of its sickly sweetness and instant-drunk-state-with-lack-of-inhibitions but your stomach hurts afterward and you may regret consuming it. This show stole so many different drama plot tropes and devices it wasn’t even funny. Psycho, indeed.

This story had amnesia, secret identities, car accidents, mental breakdowns, kidnapping, jealous outbursts, petty disagreements, and strong character tension all mixed with dark fairy tale aspects such as being locked in a tower, having your baby stolen from you at its birth and tied by ropes on a bed by your beloved. Well, they did give you a hint the show was a bit off kilter in the title. Everyone’s a little mad around here! I was surprised by how well the violence wove through the story, making the characters all these needy, obssessive messes in the process. Something that tickles my gothic teenage girl fancy, I guess. It had that historical romance of yesteryear feel to it, too. The ML was laser-focused, overbearing, possessive, anti-social and (at times) physically violent with the FL. Gotta admit, once their chemistry kicked in and physical desire replaced the violence in his aggressiveness, oooo….well…a-hem… Just…it was surprisingly well done. Again, the abuse fit the story but it was excruciating waiting and squirming through the early scenes where he manhandles her a bit more than I liked. (It was a little TOO on the pleasure/pain edge for me at one point, so I get the Thai lakorn reference, too.) This battered beauty turns to him-as-the-beast for shelter from the world, anticipating protection edged with control and finds a tortured prince who only wants to love her. Awww… I mean, really. She's not a super likable character. Neither is he. Still! I couldn't look away and had to finish this. But what an awful mess they have in store for them. And what a mixed-up, crazy unhinged little ride you’ve got in store for you. ;)

Even the editing style feels fragmented with lots of short cuts over extended periods of time, with the music choices and fast-paced events. Knowing that almost every character has some kind of mental problem/issue also keeps you on edge with what may occur next. It’s 10 episodes and they FLY.

Enjoy the crazy ride.
