I just read the other recommendations and I just can't believe how anyone would give this drama a 4! It's one of the most epic, remarkable and unforgettable dramas in Korea in 2010 and until today.I just rewatched this drama after 2 years and even though the story, episodes and scenes are still clear in my head, it still made me laugh, cry and curl my toes and fingers. This is definitely one of the best dramas of all time.
Concentrating on their kisses, Hyun Bin kisses "hot-ly" but Ha Ji Won does not. Hyun Bin has this serious character so laughing or acting funy does not suit him but it would definitely make you laugh -- (SPOILER: Like the one when they were having dinner and he was imitating Ah Yeong while in the bathroom). Ha Ji Won is indeed very sexy while doing those action thingy. As a girl, I also cant help but fall for her charm. The other casts did very well considering that they're just rookies in the industry like Yoo In Na, the secretary, Yoon Seul and the young songwriter.
The OST is still alive until today. People still cant forget that one song that made their hearts melt --- That Man sung by Baek Ji Young. I still hear it playing as a BGM in some of the variety shows that I watch.
Rewatch Value. As I said, I just rewatched and still made me laugh and cry and melt!! :"">

STORY. I've watched the very first Hana Kimi version which is I think is the Japanese and honestly saying, I didnt like it. From the main leading male to the progress of the love story. Same with the Taiwanese version. The previous 2 versions made it short making us, the watchers, disappointed. But with the Korean version, I wont say it was outstanding but it was at least better than the previous versions. This version has elaborated the story more and it was detailed enough not to make the viewers hanging.
ACTING. 1 word: A-W-K-W-A-R-D! I am a big fan of SHINee but not Minho's although i would spend some time watching or monitoring his activities... and Minho's acting was just plain AWKWARD-- especially the last scene when he was looking for Jae Hee in the camera. He needs more practice and so do Sulli. At first, I thought Kwanghee didnt fit this drama but i admit, he portrayed his role really well. Although the lip balm thingy was so out of place but at least he did well. I have no problems with SeungRi sunbae, Seol Ha Na and Cha Eun Gyeol and Min Hyun Jae, i guess. They've been trained for acting so as i always say... Idols should just sing and dance so actors and actresses could do their jobs.
MUSIC. OHMIGOD! I have nothing to say. It was superb. Although they have limit it to SM artists, i do not care. I'm a big fan of SMTOWN anyway (not the company but the artists). A big fan of SHINee especially and Taemin's. So having Taemin sing a solo for the OST of this drama, i give it a 1000000000!!!!
REWATCH VALUE. It was not as good as any of the dramas I plan to rewatch like Reply 1997 and the like but at least this version would be more worth to rewatch than the previos versions.
OVERALL. So-so.
I guess I wasn't able to "keep it short."
Enjoy the drama! :)

Give this drama a chance and dont bother what people are saying about the ending. **Read my review!** ;)
One thing I dont get is the significance of the MBLAQ and UKISS people in the show. What? To promote the drama? I think having Mir's sister and Park Yoo Chun's younger brother could already gain people's attention. I like how they didn't use the "Park-Yoo-Chun's-younger-brother-title" on Park Yoo Hwan. There wasn't a sign of JYJ or DBSK. But Go Eun Ah had that "I'm-Mir's-older-sister" title all over her. But nonetheless, the drama was good and it is your typical korean drama, don't expect anything.
The story was that of You're Beautiful's. If you love You're Beautiful, why not love this? It has the same lame ending and the same plot (with more people involved). The acting was acceptable for rookies (almost all of them are rookies, forgive them, accept them, just like how you accepted Suzy on Dream High!)
I really like how they used real Korean celebrities' names like:
Oh In Young = Seo In Young;
Kang Woo Hyun = Infinite's Woo Hyun;
Kim Hyun Seung = B2ST's Hyun Seung;
Park Ki Bum = Super Junior's or SHINee's Ki Bum;
Kang Chang Min = TVXQ's ChangMin;
Ji Seung Yeon = KARA's SeungYeon.
I'm not sure if it's plain coincidence or what but I really like the concept.
They showed bloopers at the end and they're sooo cute! Hahaha! They were funny too. Park Yoo Hwan's cute when he makes mistakes. :">
I love the music! Loving the title song, Stand Up! I actually wish M2 Junior is a real group.
Trivia: M2 Junior's leader, Hyun Seung. Can you guess whose YOUNGER brother he is? FT Island's Song Seung Hyun (1992; 180 cm tall). M2 Junior's leader is born in 1994 and 184-186cm tall! Who'd believe that he's younger? =))))
[extra] ...i think this has been longest review I've written. =))))

I laughed, I cried and the drama made me giddy.
I got the ending that I wanted. I got the love lines that I wanted and rooted for.
This is a DEFINITELY-MUST-WATCH drama.

Started watching it at 1pm ended at 7am (no sleep). That's how good the drama was for me. The complicated relationships made me wanna watch the next episode so bad that I ended up having no sleep.
THIS DRAMA IS NOT FOR KIDS. One has to be open-minded when watching this drama.
Acting was good. The leading woman acted cutely. The leading man acted jealous and cute. I started this drama wishing that the 1st couple would end up together (after watching the 1st episode, i skipped to the last just to know who the woman will end up with). Towards the end, I ended up wishing that the 2nd guy and the leading woman would end up together.
It has a sense of comedy and drama. You'd be able to feel the drama's emotions. What I mean is that when one feels angry, you'd be angry. When one feels in love, you'd also feel in love. That's what I liked with this drama.
I think this drama aired last year (2011). I actually told myself, why the hell did I postpone watching this?! I regretted watching it late. Now that I've watched it, I feel good because another happy ending has ended. ;)

Although I loved Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, I do think that this drama is better than the former. The actors are handsome and the actresses are so-so. I especially loved Lee Hyun Soo. He has captured my heart.

At first, I was very hesitant to watch the drama since I thought it would be disappointing one. I read lots and lots of reviews about this and they all said it was good. Now, well look at me, i'm writing a review about this already.
This drama may not have the very satisfying or perfect ending but at least we can formulate our own ending.
This drama will make you laugh --- a lot; and cry --- a lot too.
It doesn't have the best romance, the best acting, the best music or whatever but I can say they have the best bonding and will surely touch your hearts. ;)
Watch this drama and you won't regret it.
At first, I was like, "why would they even put Dae Sung in this drama?" Although his character doesn't contribute much to the main idea of the drama, his real personality was shown and thus making the drama more fun.
Park Tae Hee is cute too. Oh Doo Ri will be the next Yoon Eun Hye. Im Joo Hwan (Jang Jae Hun), I will wait for you to finish your service and film WHAT'S UP VOLUME 2! :D

At first, I was surprised because I didn't know that Goo Hye Sun can sing (she's really great, but not that great to become a real singer).
It was very great during the first few episodes especially the fast pace of the love story (although disappointing). The song that Choi Daniel made was great but can they please not repeat the song for no reason at all?
This drama was just too confusing and disappointing. I really wanted to love this drama but during the "Falling Action," I was just left dumbfounded. The interest was gone and it bored me.
I super hate that musical actress bitch.
Overall, this is a so-so drama. :)

Although...
The guys are not as handsome as Lee Hongki, Jung Yonhwa and Jang Geun Suk.
The actresses were not as pretty as UEE and Park Shin Hye (especially!)
The plot was also lacking. That's what I hate about Japanese dramas -- the plot is always lacking.
Although the Korean version is more worth watching than this, for a Japanese drama, this could be considered as good.
And.... I love how they put Jang Geun Suk as a cameo although I wasn't really sure who he was there and what importance did he make in the drama. -- I guess they just want higher ratings.

The acting was superb! Hyun Ki Jun is way tooo cute! Yoon Eun Hye was great and awesome as she was in Princess Hours and Coffee Prince. She's a really great actress!
The plot was funny and romantic. I love the Coke kiss. :">
What I don't like is the Hyun Ki Jun's younger brother. They could've found a more handsome actor (but he's ok). I didn't like the other girl. She wasn't that great.
Yoon Eun Hye's "best friend" here was funny -- and her husband.
Great drama! :D

I like the guys. They were all handsome except for the playboy guy. I like the girl. I've seen her in previous dramas like Mei-chan No Shitsuji and movies like Paradise Kiss. She's pretty and good. I love the little boy who acts as "dorm master."
This drama is funny and worth watching!

But sadly, this drama made me sooo disappointed. It's story was very similar (AS IN VERY SIMILAR, WAY TOO SIMILAR) to Baker King, Kim Tak Goo. I didn't like Baker King and I didn't finish watching it. While I was watching the 1st few episodes, I thought that the plot was familiar and it was similar to Kim Tak Goo and when I checked who the director and screenwriter was, they had the same production team working. I mean, how could they create another plot similar to a plot that didn't catch a lot of people's attention.
I was very disappointed. I liked Park Min Young and Lee Jang Woo but I was very disappointed.

Watching SBS's fantasy dramas like Secret Garden and 49 Days made me thought that Padam Padam was also an SBS drama. At first, I actually got absorbed, but as the story continues, nothing really new.
I usually watch super romantic dramas and never suspense or action dramas. I hated suspense and action dramas. Although this drama has those 3 genres and one them is romance, I liked this drama not because of the romance but because of the suspense (and a little bit of action).
I got absorbed because I really pitied the guy. And his son was handsome (and so is Kim Bum).
I wanted to cry a lot of times but tears won't just fall out of my eyes like it did when I watched Secret Garden and 49 Days. I did cry but not as much as I did when I watched the 2 dramas stated above.

What really surprised me was Lee Si Young's acting. She was really funny! Her actions and expressions are superb!
I also loved the love line between Director Kim and Eun Jae's best friend, Dong Ah. They're a funny couple.
What I didn't like was JESSICA! I don't hate Jessica, I just don't like her. Starting from SNSD, her looks disgust me. She tries to act cute when she's not. Going back to her acting, it was ok for a beginner. The way she looked in the drama is different from the way she looks when she's with her "groupmates," SNSD.
I ALSO LOVED EUN JAE'S FAMILY! The way they idolize the Blue Seagulls is just too funny!
One should watch this drama when he/she wants to laugh hard and literally ROFL! =)))
