Slice-of-life, mellow vibe

Plot: Story revolves around 5 amazing doctors in their own department and random stories of every patient they encounter to teach the viewers how to value life, respect others and how things work in the hospital. As a nurse, I can truly relate to most of the patients reactions/struggles included in the drama and how these 5 doctors handled them.

Acting: Most of them did great in giving life to their characters. My least favorite doctor is Dr. Jang. Although the acting was passable, the way they represented her character was rather, dull and un-doctor like despite being a resident in the hospital for 3 years. I felt like she never learned anything in those three years and acted like a newbie most of the time. The med students actually did better than her.

Music: Aloha and one summer drive are my two favorites. I just can't stop myself from jiving along even though i don't the lyrics. Haha! The cymbals sound at the end of every episode was a good touch. I kinda get why the title is "Hospital Playlist", because as I watch more episodes, I felt like I was listening to a podcast or a radio in the car, just with visuals.

Re-wactch Value: It's not a rewatchable type of drama for me but it has a lot of cute and funny moments that others might want to watch again.

Overall: The directing of the drama is quite different from the usual kdramas so some may not be able to relate or understand the intention of the series, others may think it's boring. However, I love the message and the attack of 'Hospital Playlist'. There were some scenes that confused me and ended up being nothing and there were also scenes that you think might have a surprise but unanswered at the end of the episode. It was quite unpredictable yet predictable. It also showed the difference of people in their 20's, 30's, 40's and oldies.
Things I like: How friendship between men and women are normalize. Mature takes on relationships. Treasuring our lives and second chances don't always happen to everyone so we must learn how to value it. Being grateful that we are not in the same position as the patients and if we are, it teaches us how to be patient, compassionate, understanding and accepting on things that we can't control.
Aside from the usual product promotion, I think the series encourages people to take care of their health and also donate organs(from brain dead patients or as a will) as it can help others who are in need. It was quite emphasized a few times which can be thought-provoking to some. All in all, it was binge-able for me despite it's flat moments. 8-8.5 stars.
