Honestly, I didn't see anything controversial. HEAR ME OUT. Just watch and judge it for yourself.
Unless you only like light and cute dramas, then this might not be for you.The first episode is what will set the premise of this drama. That's really the point. It might be uncomfortable to others, but if you'll think through it, you'll understand the things (good or bad) that are happening. In fact, shits happen in life and this lakorn will show you some of the possible outcomes except that this is dramatized of course so take it with a grain of salt.
This has the usual lakorn ingredients (well just look at the tags on the details of this drama) but on a different base AND will still keep you engaged.
The misunderstandings are a headache but if you try to emphatize with the characters (except that there are really those simply annoying characters that also exist in real life you just can't help but to be annoyed by their existence lmao), well it's like it's stressful but I understand. lol.
Chemistry? Romance? You'll get enough! haha.. I mean this drama will at least give you enough episodes to enjoy their chemistry. It's not like the usual where everything is on the last episode.
As for their acting, I found few characters including the ML and FL to be lacking of emotions on some scenes like it could've been better if they were more expressive. I still give them a pass though since I wasn't really bothered enough by it.
Of all lakorns I've watched, only two was able to make me listen to the OST playing on the background. So Wayree is now the 3rd one. ^^

Damn I was totally wrong when I thought the FL was going to be naive and annoying.
I blame the trailers..lol I put this on hold for so long because of that. SHE'S DEFINITELY NOT!!! and I'M SO SO GLAD I'VE WATCHED THIS!! I almost missed a good drama. This has a good plot. You will see some minor cliche parts especially if you've seen so many dramas already but overall, it's unique in its own way. They were able to hold on to their main plot which makes this different.
I was so emotional on the first few episodes. I feel so much for the FL that I wanna smack the ML lmao.. it's not that he's annoying but yeah I just wanna... lol watch it and see if you would agree with me >< ..and yes the chemistry is there ;)
I gotta say Mark Prin's acting is getting better. This was my first drama with Mew. She's great and please she's sooo pretty I can't get enough! >< All artists did well. I didn't feel anyone lacking or whatnot.

A good filler I guess.
I'd still give this 7 overall because it's not too bad, it's not too good... just so-so but not a waste. The storyline isn't new. I'm not fond of their acting either. There's nothing much to be honest. BUT it's a 'just fine' short lighthearted romance you can watch when you're in the mood for such thing or when you're looking for some romance filler.Anyways, here are some points I liked:
1. The two male characters. I'm loving how straightforward they are. No going around the bush. No acting hero.
2. It wasn't new at all but I guess it's a good thing that it was just a short drama so it didn't feel draggy.
3. The female characters were not annoying. Thank goodness. They, especially the main, were not that naive annoying FL.
ps. I hope the artists can improve more expressing their emotions especially the female characters. I can't say much about the male characters since they don't really show much emotions so it's hard to tell. They're usually just flat so...

Or if you're just here to see Nana and Mackenyu (in case you're wondering, there's no romance here)
Go on. BUT I gotta say this one was hella draggy I had to increase its playback speed! It would've been better if they just made this into movie.
Since the plot wasn't anything new at all, I was hoping they at least made it interesting but even the ending was bland. The only thing I found interesting were the characters because of how they're making me feel disgusted and emphatic. They at least kept me from being completely bored.

This was really fun and intriguing!
Yes, actually. Go watch it!It's amusing how I was having so much fun even while getting confused >.< What makes this even more fun and exciting is the mind-blowing feels you get because of how crazy interesting the story gets. IT'S TRULY AMAZING!
I love the screenplay. You'll appreciate it better after watching all episodes-- looking at the big picture and at how the pieces were placed.
I'd recommend this specially if you're into psychological dramas!
I think the only way you might end up confused is IF you never had interest in psychology. BUT, don't let this stop you from watching this crazy good drama! I watched this on Kissasian. If you ever found yourself confused after watching, there are helpful informative comments there (I've only seen the comment section on the main page and on the last ep).

The first episode had me boiling.
The plot summary looked fine to me although it's quite cliché. BUT, what actually set the mood for me was the first ep.It's not anymore whether this drama will turn out "okay" or "too cliché and disappointing" BUT it's whether they will do this right or at least convince me on how things will turn out or I'd really be disappointed.
Very well, I actually really liked it! It's not the drama per se but the feeling you get from it that's great, which I find interesting. This is like one of the "best feels" drama.
Despite clichés, the plot did not disappoint, it wasn't draggy, and it went well.
Major thanks to its STRONG FEMALE LEAD! Yes, please. We need more of them! (enough of these dumb too naive pushover annoying FCs like c'mon it's 2020 and you're still there :/)
I really love the chemistry between the leads! If you want butterflies in your stomach, this is definitely for you! I'm surprised that despite the sweet stuff going on, they did not make me extremely cringe, and I thank them for that! (heaven knows how I hate cringey dramas) They were really just natural so it wasn't hard to watch. They're actually cute ^^
The casts did well and they all had their own developments. I did not find anyone so lacking to cause a major point deduction. I'd say the FL had the best character development. The actress did great. I love how she did not lack tears and emotions.
This definitely is not just a rom-com drama but also a slice of life.
side note: editing sucks at 'singing scenes'... it was a pain watching the singer and the song not in sync! And it didn't even look like they're trying to portray such a scene. It's just that they're not really in sync! It spoils whatever emotions they're trying to bring out.

I FINALLY FOUND ANOTHER GEM!!!
Every episode is *chef kiss* it makes you crave for the next one! (waiting every week was indeed a struggle >.<) I can't believe the last episode really made me a clown! Lmao what a ride!!! It got me real good! ><This journey was truly worth it and so satisfying! I really love the plot. It's different, and they were able to keep it interesting all throughout! It had me from start to end.
Also, YES to strong female leads! ;)
This is now one of my favorite jdramas! A true gem! ~something I would not hesitate to recommend!
ps. the beautiful culture and aesthetics~ makes me want to create my own sweets too and tea party ^^ yayyy~
Huge thanks to Blitz Fansub for subbing! ❤

It's nice. It just lacks depth.
It was indeed funny, cute, light and sweet. Also, it actually highlighted stereotypes and prejudice in a comedic and light manner. The comedy feature is surely my favorite. The supporting characters definitely owned it! I love how this drama put light on them-- they matter and are part of the story. You would love watching them and not just the leads.
There's a few with character development. I'd say the male lead had the best one.
The plot isn't so common so that's good. It's also like a story with many chapters but not to the extent of being too complicated.
Now on a side note...
I understand that Xiao Qian's work was scrutinized for who knows how bad it was, and I'm just watching what she wrote. Still, it kinda felt draggy. This may be comedic, light, and fantasy, but I hope they added depth to it. It's a 24-episode drama. If the events don't age well, then it would really feel flat. It had so much potential, but it falls every time like it's not being taken seriously. If this is about showing a bad story writing (Xiao Qian's screen writing in this case), then I think 24 episodes are too much for that.
Anyway, I like it. I just can't help to think it's unfortunate it didn't develop well when it had so much potential.

Just by reading the plot, you may already have a thought on how it's going to end. But still, who knows right? Anyway, I watched with my heart prepared.
It's not a very new story but the unexpected turn of events as you go along made the drama more interesting and intriguing.
I liked how the supporting characters (family members, friends,...) weren't simply accessories. Each of them have their own traits which are not far from real life. Some of them you will appreciate. Some of them you will understand.
I love strong female lead (I'm not really a fan of too-naive-and-innocent-lead). The male lead reminds me of EXO's Suho. Haha.
Now going on to that part. Everything was fine but the ending! It was just ??? I think tragic stories even have a better ending despite being tragic!
I'm not telling the details but you may stop here if you don't want to know why I think the ending was a disappointment.
If others call it open-ended, then I gotta say that was the worst open-ended drama I've watched. It was just TOO OPEN it will give you nothing. Nothing despite everything that happened. Again, everything was fine but the ending! What a bummer.

If you're worried it will leave you with a heavy heart, you shouldn't. It's that bittersweet movie that won't leave you broken.
What I liked the most were those moments they made the music communicate. "Will it reach you?" I loved this line. Every time it was delivered, I just felt it.
I'm no expert on music nor can I play instruments, but since watching TwoSetViolin on you youtube (not a long time subscriber but they're classical musicians who also react on drama/movie which involves violin.. explaining things like how it's so fake.. lol they're hilarious and savage), it made me also focus on whether the characters will make me believe they're playing the instruments. Afterall, music is one of this movie's main ingredients. You can't leave that out. I was looking at their hand movements, the bow strikes... while listening to the music (again I'm not expert). I gotta say it was believable to me.
I believe they at least had some months of training (I couldn't search but I checked in the comments and they said they did) before making the movie which I appreciate just thinking they made an effort.
Lastly, I quite liked the cinematography ^^
On a side note, the supporting characters didn't feel like they mattered though. I mean they were supporting characters but it felt like they were just passersby.

Watching the interactions among the characters with different traits (introverted, deep, rational, delusional...) is quite refreshing. This movie is youthful and also gives light to different personalities.
Morikawa Aoi delivered her expressions and emotions really well. I love it when actors can connect to you just by the expressions on their face even without dialogues. To that, I'd say Nakagawa Taishi did well too.
It's better to watch the first movie before this since you might get confused about the other characters.
***if you don't want to see me compare the two movies, you may stop at this point***
If you watched the two movies already, I think we can all agree that this one is far better than the first.
The first had a potential but it just wasn't developed and constructed well plus I had a major disconnection with the FL because of her lack of expressions. I didn't also feel the chemistry. It was just so-so.
The only reason I said it's better to watch the first before this one is to avoid confusion. Else, I actually wouldn't recommend it.
This second movie definitely relieved me from the first.

Just take note that it's nothing special nor is it striking so you better not expect. To be honest, I nearly dropped it if not only for Chiba Yudai who looks cute here and has quite adorable character. Lol. Well thanks to his character too, this movie had some fun.
The beginning was confusing but keep going and you'll understand soon.
The first thing I didn't like here was that the female lead lacked expressions so you won't really feel her emotions. On the other hand, the male lead is definitely doing well on the light/funny scenes. However, he lacks on the serious notes like he was crying but I can't feel it.
I cannot really say they have chemistry. It was just so-so.
Anyway, I only saw Chiba Yudai in Black Devil and White Prince. I wasn't fond of his flower boy image there but after watching this, I wanted to see him in a romcom drama/movie. He'll definitely pull it off. Gotta hunt soon I guess ^^

The interactions between the female lead and the black devil always gives me butterflies in my stomach ^^ It's an old cliché but they still give me that excitement! Perhaps it's because of their personalities. The female lead is not the typical innocent naive girl. She's honest and doesn't beat around the bush when it comes to what she feels. Her monologues are quite funny. Lol. Meanwhile, although the black devil is eccentrict, he's not really that evil. I mean you know those movies/dramas where they have this gangsterish male lead who sometimes is just too much? Then the female lead just continues to be too naive.. UGH! I hate those.
Anyway, I enjoyed watching this. That white prince makes me cringe though. I guess he's just too 'flower boy' for me.
He may be an extra but I'd also like to thank Yuta's character for the laughs. Haha

I love how the plot summary did not really give us clue on who's going to end with who. It gave me that push and pull feeling which I thought was fun. I think even if you have your own bias, you'll still be going back and forth. Haha.
On the casts, they all did well ^^
***Watch 'till the end because there's an after credit scene.***

A bummer
It only has a good start. The plot is nothing special but I was hoping that it will turn out good anyway. Sadly, it's disappointing how it turned out to be too predictable it's almost boring. I kept going anyway since I'm almost half way I thought it would be a waste to drop it. It was really a bummer for me. The fun start was wasted. Also, Kento was doing well but the female lead somehow lacks emotions particularly those heavy/deep emotions thus the feelings she's trying to portray just can't reach you.
There are dramas/movies that have plain plots or that are not that great but still watchable. But this is just...idk...
