MY HEART

I don't know whether to start sobbing or not. This movie was so heartbreaking and bittersweet. 😭

It being based on a true story/true events hit me even harder. My heart truly breaks for everyone in the closet and for everyone who never got to experience acceptance and change in their lifetime.

Times may have changed, but for some places and cultures this is still very much a reality. My heart simply hurts so much for every member of the LGBT+ community and the struggles faced.

Thankfully this movie's ending was so sweet and optimistic. This is a must see, but grab your tissues!

ADORABLE!!!

I can't lie, Chan's character did carry this show. He is the cutest golden retriever personified to EVER EXIST!! He was so stinking cute 24/7 and so funny.

I liked how this show started kind of spooky, but it was just goofy and adorable.

I do wish the romance was stronger and more focused on, that's my only complaint of the show. It was much stronger on Chan's side, but they were adorable as heck nonetheless!

I highly recommend this series if you're looking for an adorable, quick, series. I cannot get over the cuteness!

A must watch!

This was such a good show, very cute. Yes, the kisses were... not good. They did the lip touch thing or used shadows. I have noticed this, so far, in every BL I've seen that stars a K-Pop idol.

The other ML is also engaged with a baby on the way. There could be many reasons why the actors weren't comfortable kissing. Or it could be a creative decision from directors. Who knows, I am just speculating. It could be that nothing is related to why the kisses are flat.

Regardless, the kissing is the only thing that could pull me back to reality and remind me, hey this is just a show because their acting otherwise was AMAZING! I was so engrossed start to finish. I think a lot of the song choices being songs by the actual actors themselves, was a wonderful touch. It's the first time I actually took notice to songs in the background.

I do wish that some of the conflicts were resolved with more justice and more clearly. I also wish we got more of the side couple! Everything was just resolved so quickly it left me wanting more details for closure!

This was a wild ride!

Story 1:
9/10
My favorite and the most memorable. The chemistry was off the charts and I felt all the feels!

Story 2:
8/10
This was my least favorite for several reasons. So much was happening and it was hard to follow. I don't understand how the one person everyone lied to and manipulated ended up the bad guy. His partner deserved and apology, but the managers did not. Not my favorite ending either.

Story 3:
8/10
I skipped a lot of this because so much wasn't necessary to the plot (the singing and dancing for the show). The story itself was so interesting and the couple had great chemistry. I love their happy ending.

Story 4:
8/10
I hated Aichi (I think I spelled that right?) from the previous story and I have never been so happy to see someone not get a happy ending. I cackled when everything blew up in his face because he is literally the worst lmao. They both deserved so much better than him. However the chemistry was super good. I didn't really feel the connection with Fern though. She was a great actress, but I don't feel like Aichi was giving any chemistry with her.

Overall good. Worth the watch!

The acting was good...

So good that I hated them all! 😂

I completed the Deepest Love story. I watched it for Bank, he made a stellar villain. This particular story was just completely off the rails and awful start to finish. If this is truly based on someone's life goodness... Rey was actually the worst character! (She did not deserve the attempted SA, but everything else was her own doing.) Nart was so spineless. He & Rey are the most idiotic characters I've ever seen. Like goodness gracious Rey could've prevented that whole mess by getting a grip and getting some help and Nart could've prevented it by saying no for once! Who marries a stranger & also then tries to force them to love them? 💀 Nart was gay and I cannot fathom someone like Rey. She was so insane.

Love Never Dies, I have 2 episodes left. I've skipped a lot because it is honestly boring. The mystery is intriguing, but I will not be rushing to finish the story, if I ever do.

I wish I liked it more...

The concept was cool, but I feel like overall the show was kind of boring. Most episodes were the exact same. I don't feel the romance was executed well either. I didn't feel attached to them or feel any chemistry between them. The fact they had all these special connections that seemingly said they're "meant to be", yet there was barely romance present. It was a whole lot of talking about colors and not much else.

It had cute moments, I just wish it had been more. I will move on to season 2 to see if the new love interest is better.

So much better than part 1

The show was good, but this was great. The show was oddly progressed and spliced together whereas this one flowed and made sense. It does end on a cliff hanger which is sad considering it was canceled after. However, I'm not rattled by the cliff hanger because these two can get through anything and the audience is aware of the misunderstanding taking place. So it's not a terrible ending.

I love watching these guys. They are so odd and funny. The couple they met was also a great touch. Very enjoyable!

Like Love

Sometimes I like fancy made-from-scratch Italian in the north, and sometimes I like 67 cent red hot burritos from Walmart.

This show was my red hot burrito. 😂😂😂
They were so ridiculous and funny the whole time. The music was a little funky and I think the editing was too.

That's my only real complaint. So much happened without and explanation and the plot jumps ALL over the place. For example: How do all these people randomly show up in each others bedrooms??

But, overall, in the end, that red hot burrito still slaps and I know I'll be back for more! It took me a hot minute to track this down and I'm so glad I did!

It started off strong...

It started off strong, but when it came to them communicating and confessing their feelings, it started to fall apart a bit because too many episodes were used on the miscommunication trope and it felt like it wasn't tied up neat enough by the end. One was always confused and the other was always mad. So it wasn't as good as it could've been.

I adore the actors and this is worth watching at least once! It was entertaining and funny, but also angsty! The concept was humorous and i thoroughly enjoyed the bonding over cooking.

Not terrible...

but not great either.

Gong was such a monotone character. No matter what was happening, happy or sad, he acted the exact same throughout the show. We were supposed believe he'd been in love with his best friend forever basically, but it just never came across to me that he had this intense love or passion. The only time I believed anything he was conveying was the love scene in the very last episode. The music ruined most scenes as well.

The side couple had more chemistry and better acting, but unfortunately their story was just as boring as the rest of the show.

I feel if this was actually shortened by half it would be an enjoyable bite-sized BL, but 12 episodes where almost nothing happens? I don't see myself coming back. I really wanted to love this!

This was almost a 9/10

Contrary to the title, towards the end they leave each other a lot?! Like why do they fight so much to be together and keep leaving each other notes that they are leaving? 😂 The third act breakup was just too much and ruined the last episode for me. The couple had JUST broken up and gotten back together so why do it all over again?! They could've focused on the justice and a nice epilogue of the boys with their own hostel. Instead it was all about them breaking up and getting back together AGAIN bc despite their many conversations they keep insisting they're a burden to the other and uno reverse break up before they FINALLY get back together for good.

Last episode aside, this series is amazing. It's entertaining, emotional, and fresh to me. The acting was so well done, you couldn't stop the tears from running from my eyes!

A lot to unpack!

This show was problematic, over the top, and toxic, but damn was it entertaining!

I personally enjoyed the show and how dramatic it was despite the realistically problematic nature. My only actual complaint is...

THE FLASHBACKS

GOOD GOD!

This show could've easily been 2 episodes shorter if they cut out all these unnecessary flashbacks!! That's what kept me from being able to give this an 8 star. Unless it was Day regaining his past memories, we didn't need a flashback, and we didn't need to see it more than once either! The show was constantly replaying scenes we already saw as well as flashbacks, multiple times, sometimes more than 2 to 3x. It was so absurd and unnecessary.

I loved Night and Nick's side relationships with their partners. They were a very enjoyable part of the cast. Mac's was very confusing to me, like was he a hostage or what?? 😭

Anyway, if you like absurd shows and don't mind problematic content then you may enjoy this crazy gem!

Cringe, but cute?

This was both equal parts cringe and cute.

The accidental kissing was so funny and when we got it not once, but twice, I was like is this for real? Lmao

If this show is intended to be cringey and overly dramatic in a comical sense I could rate this a little higher, but what actually killed my higher rating was the random girlfriend we had not seen nor heard about. It was a real wth moment for me. It was out of no where and so strange.

It's such a short show, it's worth watching once. It is cute and will make you laugh, but it's not an earth shattering BL.

Big Oof

This gets a 6 just because of GameDay, Folk, and Best. They did their best with what they were given...

Story: Good idea. Bad execution. There was SO much dead silence throughout this show, where nothing was happening at all. No one was talking or doing anything important. It was terrible and boring to watch.

Acting/Casting: As I stated before, the main actors were good. All side characters were so obnoxious and irrelevant. They were worse than the silence that sucked up half of the script.

Music wasn't terrible. I wouldn't rewatch this.
