I want to rewatch already

Honestly, this was one of the best historical Chinese dramas I've ever watched! There was so much detail put into the production and it really paid off. The cast is so talented, that acting was actually phenomenal. Shaoshang is definitely one of my favs because she was so funny and clever! Her ways of getting revenge made me so proud and I loved that she was never scared to stand up for herself. The male lead was very charismatic and his love for her made me giggle so much. Their dynamic was so fun and cute to watch. I cried a few times watching them, I was just so happy. Their love story is literally unmatched and now that I finished this drama, I feel so empty insideee it was too good. They were so mature about everything and whenever there was a minor inconvenience, they tried to talk it out. Also, the relationship between the emperor, the empress, and the concubine was something new for me and I really liked it! There was a bit of comedy added into the show and it helped lighten up the mood and keep everything fun. I have so much more to say but in conclusion, I just really love this drama and I really want everyone to watch it! But honestly, I do wish more of the songs from the actual ost showed up during important scenes because they are really beautiful! Along with that, I really wanted to see that wedding of theirs because it was talked about for so long, but was never even shown. The ending was really rushed imo and I just want to see more loving interactions between them.

My new favorite kdrama!!

The first day it came out, I had decided to watch it and I am so glad I made that choice. I was hooked from the start and waited for episodes to come out each week. I was really surprised i enjoyed it bc this genre was something new for me. Not only was the plot amazing but the drama was well made. Also, the plot wasn't dragged on at all and the plot twists always had me shocked. I never knew what was going to happen next. the music always came on at the right moments and the acting was very natural. I love the cast and solhwi's relationship made me so happy!! I rlly hope they give us a second season for some solhwi content and to see how the other characters are doing. It was wrapped up very nicely and im definitely going to miss watching this every Wednesday and Thursday. PLS GIVE THIS DRAMA A CHANCE AND WATCH IT!

been two weeks and i'm still heartbroken...

i love this kdrama so much! not only were the actors visually beautiful, but their acting was so good; i was able to get fully immersed into the show right away. the story was so beautifully constructed and paced nicely, too bad i took away 0.5 stars bc of that ending... that script was so well-written like i couldn't stop crying at the end during his letter TT it was already too sad. i'm still listening to the ost it's so pretty. the chemistry between the lead actors was so good, the cute moments at the beginning of the drama healed me; it was too cute. i love the ml, his character is just so fun to watch and i love how much he truly adored her. usually, i would feel a bit eh bc they fell in love so quickly, but in youth of may, it just felt so natural and right... literally true love! THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER WAS SMTG ELSE, like i need that in my life. the setting is based off a true event and it was rlly sad to watch it; i was so scared during every scene. i like how it was more realistic and not everything was so happy. no bc everytime smtg good happened, i couldn't truly be happy bc i knew smtg bad was coming... every ep was a rollercoaster of emotions, but at least i stayed interested! anyways, it was a beautiful kdrama and i would totally rewatch. i will probably never get over it, and i'm planning to watch it every may :(

a whole rollercoaster of emotions!

ok this was my first revenge drama and it was really good. The cast was rlly hot and their acting was amazing. The story was good and the aspect of the matchmaking agency was really interesting. i rlly have to compliment the actress who played Jin Yoohui bc i rlly hated her character, the acting was sooo good. i wanted to see more of hyungju and hyeseung bc they were soo cute. They were literally already acting like a married couple. I lovee the plot twist at the end but i want to see seokjin's happy ending bc he was so sweet for that. Also, i want to see the main leads' married life and their children, so i NEED a season 2. The entire drama was mature and straightforward which i really liked bc nothing got dragged on. the different pov from the characters made every moment interesting; there was never a boring moment.

WOW!

ok first of all, I love the plot it was constructed so beautifully. The actors did really well in portraying the characters. Everytime the ml appeared, i screamed because he's rlly fine but also his words were so sweet. when they had their first kiss, it didn't match the level of excitement i felt for their other scenes bc the ml really showed his love through actions and words. Along with that, the fl was super cool and smart and everything was under her control. Their relationship was adorable but im a bit disappointed because I feel that their love story wasn't really completed. I really wish there was an extra episode to finish off all the tiny side stories too. I wanted to see ashile sun tell changge his last wish (to marry her hehe) and a wedding, i wanted to see him and sher drink together, and for his father to get better again. I could not stop watching, i would literally pull out my phone to watch it in school. I love the hidden identity trope too so this drama was perfect for me. There weren't any embarrassing scenes and the love was adorable but not to the point where it made me cringe. Im so jealous i want someone to look at me like how sun looks at changge! Each episode was interesting and it was never boring at all. usually i dont like rewatching dramas but i can totally see myself watching this one again. The fight scenes were amazing and I love how all the friends changge made went to go help her at the end. It's most definitely a slowburn but their love story started from the first episode and was realistically developed. they respected each other and there weren't any silly misunderstandings. ALSO they were both powerful on their own but when they were together it was just awesome!! He cared for her in his own way and they were willing to sacrifice themselves for each other. Their chemistry is unmatched and that’s not even the main focus of this drama! The ost fits the mood very well. I don’t think I will ever get over it. This cdrama was so beautiful and I loved it! im sad I finished it :(
