I honestly didn't expect Gyeongtae to be that bad of a person. I was thinking he only beat up people when he had to and not for fun?? Honestly when he lost his memory, he was kinda cute. I also expected Seonhwa or Seonghwa to be a better person, actually thinking he would fall for Byeongtae after several events. I don't understand how the "losers" chose to forgive those who whooped them so easily. And the bonus scene irritates me, how could Byeongtae look at Seonhwa when Jiyoung is waiting for him like. Everything is done well though, from acting to production. I also like the cinematography and it's actually funny.

first of all, its so sad that china has censorship. everything would've been way better if there wasnt censorship.

i gave the story a 9.5. the plot was amazing. though its very different from the novel it was based on, i didnt mind at all. there were many unexpected events. the reason i didnt give it 10/10 was because i felt bored during some scenes. also because my fav character xiaoxingchen died..

the acting/cast, i gave a 8.5. honestly, im not sure if its the actor or role but some of the scenes were kinda cringe.. i found those a bit hard to watch.

the music is like chef's kiss. my favorite track must be wuji.

i rewatched this 2 times. on the second rewatch tho, i kinda got bored and dropped it around ep 30-40.

i would say tho, the special effects werent done very well. greenscreen too.

very short

I didn't expect it to be so short. I usually prefer longer dramas, but this one didn't feel rushed though it's very short. The main characters have a very cute relationship. It gives off an enemies to friends/lovers trope. I watched the edited version with 12 episodes on youtube, all the episodes are out. I would say, the acting is poor sometimes. I started watching yesterday and just finished it today. i love difeisheng ?

i knew about it months before it was aired but kind of forgot about it until i saw it in my to watch list. i searched it up and to my surprise, it finished airing. i was actually very excited for this show because ive been looking for a chinese costume drama where romance wasnt the main genre. i originally thought that it would be just bromance but lianhua and xiaobao both have their love interests; it was an acceptable amount of romance for me. i actually didnt know what the plot would be like at all. when i noticed the main plot revolved around crime solving, i was even more intrigued. these kind of plots are one of my favorites. im usually good at predicting twists but never predicted any of the ones in this drama. (i never purposely predict it) i would say this is one of my favorite costume dramas now. had 0 suspicions on shangudao and thought difeisheng was the main villain. (hes not the best person but like). also surprised to see yebaiyi actor play this role (word of honor) i forgot the characters name already, but i hate him; glad wanmian or something left him!! difeisheng soon became my favorite character after he accompanied the other leads. (hidden identity part) i gave it a 7.0 in rewatch value because shows like these, crime solving and plot twists, arent that fun to rewatch since you already know everything thats gonna happen. funny story, my mandarin class played the ost as the song of the day while i was watching the drama. i started this on a sunday afternoon and finished it on thursday at night. i was kind of binge watching even though i had school. whenever i had nothing left to do, i would watch it. it was kind of difficult to watch it on my phone since i use one of those websites.

Good Short Film

Some may want it to be a series or a longer movie, but I personally think that would ruin it. The length of this film is almost perfect for its plot. If it was longer, then everything would seem slow-paced and boring. 14 minutes may be very short, but I'd think 10-30 minutes is the best for this type of production. Now the reason my rewatch value is very low is because it's so short, you'd probably remember everything that happened and it wouldn't be fun to rewatch unless you're just watching for the cast. I think the chemistry is pretty good considering they're in the same group. There weren't many scenes where the actors could show off their acting, the difficulty of it is pretty low. Plot is pretty ordinary so I gave it a 7 for that. I like the soundtrack and the production + cinematography. Definitely recommend.

i watched it because its one of the only bls in china. i saw an edit on tiktok about it and decided to watch it right away. i didnt expect too much but this was way under my expectations. ive watched a lot of shitty bls and this was probably the worst one. firstly, its very confusing and rushed. i sometimes couldnt really understand what was happening and everything just happened too fast!! we didnt even see any signs of romance and they just randomly had sx?? the wigs were so obvious like u could see the mesh thing. acting was alright ig. the ending was also super confusing like is he a time traveler or he remembers his past life?? the special effects were so bad!!!! one of the worst ive seen. i feel like a tiktok editor could be better like. dont recommend but if youre desperate for a rare chinese bl then go ahead and waste your 1hr!!

i'm kinda disappointed.... almost everything was predictable (including the plot twist). the scene where xiaoqing died in the fire was really really reallyyyy poorly made. it reminds me of journey to the west editing, that show is from the 1980's... thats how bad it is. her acting also wasnt the best, it lowkey looked like she was smiling while getting burned.. i also feel like wen ning has matured a lot.. didnt really like that either. why does this review have to be 500 characters. ig ill say some nonrelated stuff. if youve watched the blood of youth pls bmf begging i need someone hear me say all the things i love about wuxin and actually understand

wuxin is so fine

i started watching this on a saturday and finished it just now. it only took me 3/4 days because i was literally binging. i found out about this drama from a tiktok. the comments section said that this drama reminded them of the untamed and word of honor. now those two dramas are definitely in my top5 of all time. both of those are based of a danmei novel and turned into a bromance drama due to censorship. since i saw that the blood of youth reminded them of those two, i thought it was also a bromance - so i proceeded to watch it. at first, i thought leiwujie and xiaose would be the "couple" then wuxin came and i thought him and xiaose would be the "couple." (i know wuxin is a monk idk why i thought that) later on, leiwujie started liking the general's daughter (i forget names easly). tanglian and wujie also started shipping xiaose with sikong girl. thats when i realized it wasnt a bromance drama. honestly i felt kinda disappointed and betrayed. i usually dont watch shows with straight romance but i was too invested in the story to stop watching. the storyline didnt disappoint. most of the acting is done well, some of the scenes/acting were a bit... childish/cringe. I also expected more scenes of wuxin since he's one of the main characters.. after he left for i forgot where, his scenes were so short and sometimes he wouldnt appear for a whole episode or two. since hes my favorite character, that kinda threw me off. towards ep 25-30, i thought wuxin would get a lot more scenes when he comes back.. but i was wrong. because of that, i took off 1.5 stars on my rewatch rating. it still deserves to be watched, but i personally wouldnt rewatch it. if there were more scenes of wuxin, the rewatch value would def be higher. the special effects were good.. there are definitely better though. overall a decent drama.

probably my favorite costume drama of all time. and second favorite cdrama.

story: amazing. totally didnt expect the plot twists.

acting/cast: the acting was done very well. there weren't any scenes where i thought the acting "fake." I had a gongjun obsession era after watching this. (still love him)

music: i love all the tracks!! every song fit the scene it was played in.

rewatch value: i rewatched it like after 7-9 month and it was still super interesting.

i would say this is better than the untamed.. please dont come for me. everything from the cg to acting to production were just better. i dont blame tu because they had a low budget.
